I didn't realize this place was here until the old spot was closed and I was feeling for some Chinese food. Found it on Yelp and the Chinese food is great. The owner and staff are very accommodating. They know their food. It's all family run. It's better tasting than another spot I had been going to. Vegetable fried rice was spot on. The the vegetables in garlic sauce was spicy but so delicious. Went to this place because of some good reviews. WHAT TERRIBLE FOOD! They call themselves NY Style Chinese Food but it is far from it. I ordered a simple Chinese take out dish --Sweet and Sour Pork with fried rice and eggroll--The combination plate. Sweet and sour pork is supposed to contain pork meat that is deep fried. All the fried pieces WERE JUST BREADING NO PORK!! TERRIBLE. Their eggroll was half the size of other Chinese take out places. Not worth the $8.99 plus tax that I paid. Very disappointing!! I have eaten in NY Chinatown many times and this place is not NY Style. This place sucks!! Stay away. I am certainly not going back. read more

This is New York Chinese food pure and simple! From their Lo Mein to their hot and sour soup, it makes me feel as though it was one thing I did not have leave behind! Tried this place after seeing the good reviews. I hate to say it was the worst Chinese food I've had but...it's true. I ordered the broccoli beef with white rice. Rice was good, broccoli has a weird taste to it, and beef was so chewy it was barely edible. I agree with a previous review that the egg rolls also taste off. Looking for Chinese takeout for a quick dinner last night, and finding my regular go-to place unexpectedly closed, I selected China Dragon based on very positive Yelp reviews. I called without a menu in hand and without a firm decision on what to order and was very pleased by the patience and helpfulness of the young lady on the phone. We decided on chicken with broccoli with pork fried rice, hot and sour soup, shrimp lo mein, and a couple of egg rolls. Then I pulled up directions and was also pleased to find it was conveniently located between work and home. I have found my new go-to Chinese take out place for nights when dinner was not planned. My shrimp lo mein was excellent. The flavors were just perfect and the shrimp was cooked delicately unlike the usual overdone rubbery version I often get with takeout. I would highly recommend the lo mein and even after filling up with dinner I have enough leftovers for two lunches this week. The chicken with broccoli and fried rice were also delicious, but now that we have a menu and see so many different choices available, we will probably branch out and try their specialties next time. The hot and sour soup could have used a little more spice but the serving size was impressive and we would not turn away our spoons for the soup again either. So happy to find China Dragon and thankful for Yelp for not steering me wrong. read more

We have eaten here a few times because the food was good. I will never order from China Dragon again. The last time I picked up an order the lady was upset on the phone and in person complaining about a previous customer. I assured her that it was bound to happen and that people sometimes were rude. I even took her a small gift when I picked up the food because she was so upset. Just trying to brighten someone's day. My last call to place an order was met with sarcasm and rudeness. She mocked my order, asked me if I thought I was special because I wanted no veggies in the rice and add mushrooms to one dish. Argued with me as to whether or not it was good choices. I even said if you think I shouldn't eat it that way it's fine I'll take it how it comes. She continued mocking my order and added a laugh or two. When I was done placing a decent sized order, I felt attacked and embarrassed. I told her to just cancel the order. While laughing she said, 'what happened, what happened'. I just said I think you know and I hung up. It's either a mental illness or she's just a raging bitch. Idk. But I will never go there again. This is my absolute Go To Chinese place. I eat here weekly, if not three-four days IN A ROW! China Dragon makes the best fried rice anyone can ask for: no matter which veggie or protein you request. They were so nice to me! Im so glad I stumbled in. I ordered take out for a "stay in" date night and it was perfect. They dont use yucky yellow rice!
