The owner is so down to earth and friendly... The food has good portions and tastes good. Also, the ambience is very pleasant. Would absolutely recommend going here!!!

Tried this place and was pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious. The service was warm. Very friendly. We ordered the eggrolls, orange chicken, pork fried rice and the house chow mein. All were great. Will definitely frequent this place.

Teriyaki chicken after taking out two small scoops of meat.

I want to start off by saying China Harbor gets 2 stars because they are extremely overpriced for what you get. My husband got me teriyaki chicken because I was exhausted from a trip, and needed something I could stretch throughout the day. The dish was $18!! I'd be okay if it was as packed as they presented it but they overwhelm the chicken and cabbage with so much sauce that it looks like it's crazy full. I never thought I'd say there's a limit on sauce, but they found it. The pictures show exactly what I'm talking about. The photos speak for themselves, for the price paid it should not be an upcharge to have rice. I also think it's dirty on their end to call that "extra chicken". I get this dish at Mai Thai for $13 and it' comes with broccoli and rice, and not overwhelmingly covered in sauce. This was not what I expected after so many good reviews, and coworkers saying it's top notch. The sesame balls were delicious however, and I would order again, but I don't think I'd order a meal again from there.

Well worth the wait. Amazing food and great people. Good for dinning in tooX

Was feeling under the weather and craving some mellow soup. Wonton soup came to mind, which I don't usually order because it is so simple: broth and boiled dumplings. This place blew that expectation out of the water! Their wonton soup included carrots, broccoli, and Chinese style bbq pork! The broth was fatty and succulent. This will forever be something I crave when I get sick in the future. Can't wait to explore more of the menu!

Orange chicken and egg roll lunch combo.

My husband and I came for lunch on a Saturday. We ordered the lunch combos for $10.99. My husband ordered a soda but it was served flat. My water came without ice in it, and lukewarm. Our combos came with soup, appetizer and white or fried rice. I got the egg flower soup, pork fried rice, egg roll and orange chicken. My husband ordered the won ton soup ( which is $1 extra) the pork fried rice, crab Rangoon and the General Tso chicken. Both soups were very flavorful and good. The entrees both came with a thick sweet sauce on them and tasted very similar. My eggroll was not good, very bland. The crab Rangoon was okay. The fried rice was also ok, nothing to write home about. In all, the serving sizes were adequate and I had food left over. The prices were pretty standard. The restaurant was largely in disrepair, the ladies restroom had 4 stalls but 3 had "out of order" signs on them. The lobby appeared to have a fountain but it was not working. The booths had cracked upholstery. The waitress was friendly and trying to drum up business by sending home menus. We let her know we are from out of town so didn't want them.

As I walk in with my sister, we are immediately greated and seated. The host is super friendly and she is very interactive. Not too busy to hold a decent conversation. And let's talk about the ambience and music. Classic lounge jazz playing with mood lighting setting the environment. Definitely a place to take a first date if you want to impress. I recommend coming here. The food is absolutely delicious! Can't say it enough. I've had Chinese food elsewhere in Oak Harbor and it doesn't compare. I grew up in a restaurant and have learned to appreciate flavors of the world. Each dish we ordered was super flavorful, not bland, and the vegetarian fried rice had only fresh vegetables in it and not the frozen kid typically found in these dishes. Fresh is how I would explain it and abundantly flavorful. Yummy.

So we decided to scope it out, and once we got inside we were blown away! The employee at the counter said they only have one coffee (iced Vietnamese) but lots of good mocktails and beverages in the cooler. Friendly and honest! We peeped the cooler and it was full of super interesting drinks. And indeed, the mocktail menu was great. Zests and tonics and coolers and sparklers. Next to the cooler is a small retail area with an eclectic and very smart selection of curated goods, including: chili crisp; tinned fish; griddle pans; handmade Easter fudge; books about auras and autism and edibles and pizza; ultra soft scarves; Rap Snacks ramen; and lunar phase art pieces. But even more impressive than all of that is the food. Among our group of cousins etc, we ordered both banh mi sandwiches, the meatloaf sandwich, the bulgogi cheesesteak sandwich, the banh mi fries, and the chicken pho. Plus the Vietnamese iced coffee and one cocktail (Sunset Spritz). Without exception, they were delicious! My favorite was the meatloaf sandwich, which came on perfectly-griddled pillowy sourdough, and had a great balance of sweet-tangy masaman glaze, mayo, and kimchee pimento cheese. Probably the best meatloaf sandwich I've ever had, in a little corner cafe in Freeland, WA!

I found this " vegetable and tofu" roll the most bland I've had. No herb, sauce , crunch.... I am a fresh roll lover, so a little discerning, but this was truly flavorless. Tofu, rice noodles, leaf lettuce and rice paper. Thats it. Like eating a carrier for too little peanut sauce. The pho was filling and came with a plate of bean sprouts referred to as "the vegetables" . The Vietnamese coffee was tasty but presentation awkward. It came as Condensed milk in a cup with a pour- over atop this and the separate glass of ice. I'm no expert in this ritual but I am accustomed to having the milk cold in the ice and the brewed coffee in a spouted vessel for easy pouring into the iced milk. Here we had to mix the brewed coffee, then add it dribbling and spilling to the ice. No big deal but awkward. It tasted good. The prices were reasonable and parking a lot shared with the strip mall . Not within the restaurant's control , but in circling for a spot around one lane, I was nearly backed into by not 2 not 3 but 4 cars. I think I recall a cannabis shop being in the mall or nearby. This may explain that. The service was friendly throughout. The place was empty but the time was odd. I don't think we'd return based upon the fresh rolls alone.

I ordered #31, thought the broth was a bit bland but perhaps I've just been spoiled by Vancouver (BC) pho spots. It was quite busy the whole time we were there and it's clear they have a dedicated following. Generous with their bean sprout quantity. A random thing to note is their washroom doesn't have a bag/jacket hook so hopefully you have a friend that can hold onto your stuff while you use the gender neutral washroom, or better yet, plan your visit before you leave your table.

The restaurant itself is small but spotless and clean. * Spring rolls were huge. The lettuce ratio wasn't super high but still good enough. 4/5 * Pork bánh mì was delicious. 5/5 * Pho had depth and flavor. Something about it tasted slightly off to me, but it still satisfied my craving. 4/5 * Prices were reasonable: the bánh mì was under $10 and the large pho was under $15. It was the service that really threw us off. We don't expect much service at pho places, but this was odd enough that it's worth mentioning. There were two young staff members working who clearly seemed like they didn't want to be there and almost didn't want people coming in. The guy brought us utensils and pho garnishes but no water. At least he had a smile. The girl, on the other hand, had this very guarded, "ready to fight" expression. When I went up to ask for a box, they both froze and looked at me like I was asking for the world. She didn't smile and barely made eye contact. When it was time to pay, we weren't sure what to do so we just went up to the front. She didn't look at us once, and there was no "thank you" or "have a good day." The whole interaction really weirded us out. * Food: 4/5 * Service: 1/5 That said, if we were in the area and wanted pho again, we'd reluctantly go back for the food.
