This place was pretty good for the price! The sitting area was nice and quiet and not too hot or cold! The bathroom was the cleanest I've ever seen in a restaurant too! Our server was extremely friendly and after I started coughing she asked if I was okay! I got the orange chicken dinner combo! My favorite was the chow mein and my least favorite was the fried rice (I'm picky about it!)! Will be coming back again to try more stuff out!!

I've been coming here for years and the service is excellent. The dining room is cozy and decorated with fun art . The food is great. Lots of veggie options available. Consistently fresh and delicious. It's no wonder this is a neighborhood favorite.

The perfect neighborhood Chinese spot? China King has that cozy, neighborhood-restaurant feel. Big enough that you're not elbow-to-elbow with other tables, but still small enough to feel personal. It almost gives off a vibe like you're eating at someone's house. The crowd was pretty minimal the Monday evening I went, just a few other dine-in tables and some folks picking up their orders to go. The staff was super friendly in a way that added to that "homey" feeling. Service was quick and well-paced; appetizers, soup, and mains all came out in a smooth flow. They didn't hover, but they were easy to flag down if we needed anything. We started with crab rangoons, which were crispy and tasty. For soup, we tried both the egg flower and hot and sour, both exactly what you would expect. For our mains, we ordered the dinner combo plates with Mongolian beef and General chicken. Each came with an egg roll, chicken chow mein, and pork fried rice. Everything hit the spot, but the Mongolian beef was definitely the standout. Super flavorful and perfectly cooked. The only thing that didn't completely hit was the fried rice which was fine, just not quite as flavorful as it could've been. Price-wise, this might just be some of the most affordable Chinese food in town right now, which makes it an even easier "yes" for a return visit. The only real downside for me is that it's pretty far into Spanish Springs, so it's not the most convenient spot unless you live in the area. Final thoughts: I'd happily come back for a casual dinner with friends or family, especially if I'm in the area. Great prices, friendly service, and solid food!

Tasty. Clean. Friendly. Fast. These are all words I'd use to describe our recent lunch at China King. Located in the shopping center at the corner of Vista and Wingfield Hills Rd, their lunch menu is impressive. With 39 items to choose from, each meal comes with either hot & sour or egg drop soup, an egg roll, and fried rice. We ordered the Mongolian beef and General's chicken. We arrived at 11:30 and business was already brisk. They had several take-out orders, and tables were filling up quickly. The hot & sour soup arrived first, steaming hot and perfectly spicy--it was delicious. As soon as we finished, our main courses arrived. The General's chicken was crispy beneath its sweet and spicy sauce, and the pork fried rice was flavorful with pieces of char siu. The egg roll was basic but perfectly crispy. The Mongolian beef was tender, and the sauce was incredibly flavorful. We will be back soon, we have 37 more entree's to try!

My daughter and I have been craving their pork fried rice and appetizers from here. I placed an order for a family meal for pick up when I got off of work last week. I had to have their Chinese food! They were busy and just jamming orders out! By the time I drove here from work my order was ready for pick up! Appetizers: tempura shrimp, egg rolls and baby back ribs. War wonton soup and two entrées: green pea chicken and a general's chicken with a side of pork fried rice. Great portions and value for your buck! Restaurant is always busy, but they always manage to care for everyone all at once. Tip: If you live in the Wingfield area or close enough they will deliver to you for a few extra dollars. If you live close by check them out! They've never forgot to pack sauces or utinsels. I highly recommend If you want hot Chinese food delivered quickly.

Above average Chinese food at a good price! The service is always super friendly, and the food arrives quickly. I've eaten here many times and will keep coming back. Yeah, it's the only Chinese here in Wingfield Springs, but I was really pleasantly surprised when I gave it a try when it opened. I am hooked. ... This place is fantastic. I would like to start off by saying the service is incredible. The female server (possibly the only server there) is very sweet and personable. My husband and I recently had a baby so we hadn't been in for awhile. Not only did the waitress remember us and was excited to see our baby-she even remembered my husbands special order! The food is authentic and always fresh. The menu has a lot to choose from and everything is always good. The sizzling rice soup is awesome with large chunks of veggies/meats/and crab. So good. The walnut shrimp is addictive. You think about it long after you leave. This place is a little out of the way but well worth it. read more

Overall enjoyable. This is sort of a Father's Day tradition because we are always out of town that weekend and when we get back nobody wants to cook. I have 3 kids who pick and choose when they want to eat non pre approved foods (Mac n cheese) and all 3 ate the food here. read more

Nice place deep in the heart of Spanish Springs. There were a lot of tables and the wait staff was really nice. The food, although not the ultimate Chinese food, was quite good. What set this place apart from many others to me was the fact that the service was so quick and there was really a lot of space in the restaurant which is something I like. We had the General Tso's chicken and pork fried rice. I also had hot and sour soup which was a little different than normal but still very good. We will be back someday. read more

Helen and the staff are always amazing. Know my family by name, and even when we call she answers with a friendly Hello "____" name here! Amazing food always, and fast as well. Go to quick service Chinese restaurant in the Reno/Sparks area and luckily I live out here. Because of the friendly atmosphere, and the great food I will always be back. Sesame chicken and fried rice are usually my go to, but there's so many other things I could recommend. read more

I always make sure to come here on one of my visits to the area. They have wonderful staff, great prices, great portions, and the quality of their food is amazing!!!! You can't go wrong with the black pepper chicken and Mongolian chicken. Word of caution, the Mongolian chicken is spicy! It's a lot spicier than anything I've had from other restaurants but that's definitely what makes it delicious! Best part is they both come with a good amount of rice. Anything you order comes with white rice so you really don't have to worry about paying for rice and when I run out, the friendly staff gives us more without charging. This is a must go! read more

Food wasn't great. Mongolian beef was red and fried rice was yellow. Wasn't restraunt quality more of a fast food Chinese place. Dissapointed for seeing it rated 4.5 stars. Staff was friendly and service was fast. Only in town for the day not sure how other places compare. read more

Sorry to give this 1 star but we love Asian food and have it often. Because of this I can say this was a very disappointing experience. We ordered 4 different dishes and didn't like one of them. There's another excellent Asian restaurant not far from this one that's our favorite but we wanted to give this one a try since it's so close to home. read more

Five stars for the great service! Our church group of 14 (including kids) came in about an hour before close. The sweet waitress really went the extra mile for us. She was very attentive and refilled drinks quickly. She made sure we had everything we needed. She was even engaging with the kids by helping them tuck their napkins into their shirts haha. Food came out very fast and was good quality everything was hot. Again the service was AWESOME the girl was super super nice and went above and beyond for us. read more

This has always been my go to for Chinese food since it's right by my house. Hostess is rude. I walked in to order and she was on the phone for a while taking an order. No big deal. She gets off I order my food and she asked me if I had cash. I told her no and she would not complete my order because of this. Apparently the amount that the food came to was too low. Awful customer service. She wasted my time. I will now go out of my way to another Chinese restaurant and they will no longer receive my business. Customer service is everything. Too bad the rude hostess doesn't realize that. read more

We have been going for a few years. The food is always great. It rivals many much more expensive places in the Bay Area. The lunch specials are an awesome value. We have had dinner for a large group. It's nice to have this place close by, but it's also cool that the staff remembers the locals. The staff is friendly and are very sweet to children. I wish they served milk, though. We haven't had a bad meal yet. Everything is yummy, hot and the quantity is perfect. No green peppers in the sweet sour pork makes us happy. Give the local small businesses your money, you won't regret it! Does not take American Express. read more

Friends said we had to try it. What a hidden treasure! Great food, prepared fresh when ordered. We were a group of 4. All of the dishes we ordered were over the top. Lemon Chicken was best we have had in a long, long time. Ginger Beef, perfect, just the right heat from the ginger. Shrimp Egg Foo Young, not my favorite dish, but will be at this restaurant. Busy place the night we were there and our server was right on top of her game. Can't wait to return. They do not offer wine, but were happy to provide clean glasses for our beverage with no corkage fee. read more

Since I left that review approx 9 months ago this has been my go to place for delivery for my staff meetings at my home . I have probably had delivery 20 plus times and it has been outstanding . Only once was there a issue because the driver was new They are super fast and I have always found the basic food that we order to be very consistent Love it read more

One of my favorite Chinese restaurants in town. Decent prices, FABULOUS service (Helen is absolutely a doll) and delicious food. They offer take out, dine in and delivery. It is a drive for those who don't live in the Spanish Springs area but worth the drive if you are looking for a good eat. Must try the hot and sour soup. read more

I've ordered delivery from here at least 6 times and they're amazing every single time. Fast service and the food is amazing. 30 mins max for delivery time and the food is always hot when delivered. The prices aren't bad either. Definitely recommend if you want some authentic tasting Chinese. read more

Traditional Vietnamese or Chinese cuisine IMO, is difficult to find here compared to the Bay Area. But that's not the fault of Reno, it's just the number of asian restaurants are so much fewer here and all the produce is literally imported. My goto when checking out a chinese restaurant is their chow fun noodles. Why? The noodles are perishable and if frozen the texture becomes a bit mushy, not firm. Was the noodle fresh, yes but with the cavet that it was probably imported day or two earlier. There are no local noodle makers in Reno. The dish was prepared in traditionally with a slight twist. Garlic, lots of minced garlic. Not complaining, as this is unusual for chow fun noodles to get amost a fourth of a garlic bulb worth. I ordered the mixed protein version with chicken, pork, and beef. There was a slight sweetness to the dish, which I am atributing it to sugar. Which again is unusual but a welcome addition like the garlic. My last visit was when some relatives visted from the Bay Area and we had lunch. I didn't want to take a chance on the food that they may not be used to, so we choose SK Noodle. Eveyone had their vietnamese Pho and grilled dishes and so far SK did dissapoint any of the Northern CA food snobs! I will be back.

With "Hong Kong Diner" in the name, I was expecting authentic Cantonese stir-fries with good wok hei. Unfortunately, the Dry Fried Beef Chow Fun lacked that signature smoky flavor, and the texture was closer to lo fun than traditional chow fun. The Gai Lan with Beef also lacked wok hei. The outer layer of the gai lan stems had been peeled away, so the stems lost the crisp texture that makes gai lan so enjoyable. The Vermicelli with Grilled Chicken was overly tender and quite salty. It seemed to be marinated so heavily that I couldn't really taste the natural flavor of the chicken. Overall, the restaurant offers generous portions, reasonable prices, and friendly service. I just wish the Cantonese dishes had delivered the wok hei I was expecting from a place with "Hong Kong Diner" in its name. :)

We finished up with the HUGE Chocolate Lava Cake. I like how they asked if any of us had food allergies or dietary restrictions. We have none. The portion was the perfect size, leaving room to share the deconstructed banana cream pie (no Oreo crust for me). So delicious! The staff was careful with my food, even going back to the kitchen to confirm preparation when an allergy pick wasn't placed in my dessert. We will definitely be back soon! Even though it had been a while since our last visit, the staff remembered us, which made us feel so welcome. I love the ambiance here. It's quaint, clean, and comfortable, with soft lighting, relaxing background music, and cozy booths that make it a perfect place to enjoy a meal and catch up with friends. We started with soup. I had the hot and sour soup, which is always my favorite, and our friends tried the flower soup, similar to egg drop soup, for the first time. They really enjoyed it! For appetizers, we shared the prawn, egg rolls, and crab Rangoon, and everything was delicious. For our main course, we enjoyed the Szechuan chicken, Hunan chicken, sesame chicken, and the vegetable plate. Every dish arrived hot, fresh, and full of flavor. The service was outstanding. Our server checked on us often, kept our water glasses full, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. We always have a wonderful experience at Chin Chin, and this visit was no exception. Great food, excellent service, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere keep us coming back. We highly recommend it!

Great food at reasonable prices and hosress/waitreaa was very personable and efficient. Wide selection of menu items, some are spicy reflecting Swechwan style but others are flavorful reflecting cantonese cooking. Definitely want to come again to try other entrees!! read more

What a great selection for the lunch plate..... you get cup of soup egg roll rice or fried rice and entree. You can't beat the value i think it's 27& for two....its available on the weekends too. We also got two sodas 26.77. read more
