Got a late dinner to go. Wonton and Hot/Sour Soups were excellent. The Wonton Soup had a rich chicken-y broth and the balance of hot/sour was perfect in the other soup. We shared crispy sesame chicken as an entree. It was far from the "healthy menu" Chinese dishes that I usually order but was soo delicious in a deep fried, sweet and sour way. And I like that brown rice is an option. The only negative is that the prices seem high. read more

I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant! Last night my family and I ate there for what was my first time, but not theirs. They really talked China Sky up and I am so glad to say that it was even better than what I had imagined! We sat at the sushi bar, which always makes for a great experience, and William waited on us. He was extremely attentive, gave great suggestions, and worked to go above and beyond with meeting all of our needs. The drinks and food were amazing and a bonus, almost everything on the menu can be made to fit any dietary needs. I have some severe food allergies and every single one of my needs were met. Everyone in our party was extremely happy with their meals and almost all of us took some home, the portions are huge. I urge everyone in the area to give China Sky a try - We will absolutely be back for more. read more

Early last year our take out meal from China Sky was excellent, better than any other in the area ... but expensive. So, we spent the last year taking out from the good & less expensive Chinese restaurants in the area. A few days ago, we decided to splurge. Bad choice. Not sure whether it was just a bad night or its has fallen this far, but the food was not very good. Hot and sour soup ... ok. Moo Shu pork ... bad, Tangerine Beef ... poor, Lo Mein ... bad. This place serves "Chinese" food for people who live in Winchester. The food is bland, sweet, and for the most part tasteless, but it is safe enough to lure Chip and Bunny away from the country club for one night a week to try something "exotic". It is also pretty pricey, for Chinese food. Again, Winchester. That having been said, the wait-staff are incredibly friendly and service is fantastic (thus 3 stars). Also, compared to the other options in the area, it is not awful. It just isn't really chinese food. If you want something with taste, Shangri-La in Belmont is good and interesting, and Beijing Star in Waltham isn't bad either. read more

China Sky is great for lunch. Very reasonable lunch menu with many tasty choices. Easy to get a seat--try a window seat with a good view. Service is always prompt. As is typical in suburban asian resturants "Hot" isn't all that spicy. A great place for lunch on a budget and a timeline. I'm not a huge Chinese food fan but these guys do it right and also offer Japanese dishes/sushi. There are plenty of well portioned healthy options on the menu. The atmosphere is slightly more upscale than most Chinese restaurants. Service is good. Cozy bar. Delicious food. read more

For upscale chinese, China Sky does a lot of things well. The restaurant is clean and well decorated. The owners are very nice...one time we ordered from their other establishment in Wellesley and they called and canceled there and replaced out order. The food is well prepared and uses very fresh ingredients. I wish it was a touch cheaper and/or larger portions for the price at dinner is the only reason for 4 stars. Parking is a nightmare, but once you go inside the ambiance is quite relaxing. My boyfriend and I met our dinning party after everyone had all ready ordered, which wasn't a big deal, but it took our waiter 15 minutes to come take our drink order. Since we had 15 minutes to pine over the menu we were ready to order entrees once our waiter returned. I order the spider sushi, which was delicious, but the waiter forgot my soup. Also, for $13.... Went there NY eve 2013 for dinner, the place was crazy busy both with reservations and huge takeout. The hostesses and staff handled it all very well. My boyfriend and I went to China Sky on a Friday night. We were sat immediately, which I can't say would have happened for many other restaurants. As soon as we sat down, our waitress came and quietly delivered a pot of tea and two small tea cups. The tea was very tasty. I loved the nice clean table clothes, the music played in the background, the perfect lighting and each table had a very beautiful flower on it. This place pays attention to the details. We ordered spring rolls for an app, and they were brought out shortly after we ordered them, but not before our waitress brought out app plates and duck sauce. I swear our waitress was keeping an eye out because as soon as I took my last bite, she cleared our plates to make way for dinner. Other staff were also filling our waters constantly which was nice not to have to ask. Our entree came out. We ordered a plate of veggie lo mein and the sesame chicken and split it. It was just enough for the two of us with a little extra, as the sesame chicken also came with steamed white rice. IT WAS DELICIOUS. So good. We ate it all up and the waitress came over and politely asked if we were done and removed the plates. She also checked at the beginning of the meal if it was to our satisfaction. Our check came with 2 fortune cookies, and it was only $30 bucks. Granted we didn't get alcoholic drinks and we did split 2 large plates, but the food was more than enough. I think it should be noted that you DONT have to spend tons of cash in a Winchester. Additionally, the staff atmosphere was very pleasant. Everyone seemed happy and the staff was pleasant to all guests, not just their table. I was very satisfied with this restaurant and will definitely go back for a repeat! read more

One of the best Chinese restaurant around!!! You can tell they take pride in their food and their appearances. Clean and welcoming environment. My favorite plate is the pork, string beans with fried rice and hot and sour soup. (Soooo goood)!!! William is so professional, a master at what he do. His mai Thai is to die for. William, who was the bartender, is a tremendous loss for this restaurant. I am not clear of the circumstances of William's leaving but the new bartender they hired is horrible and the stand in is okay but pales in comparison to William's service. He will be truly missed. I know I've reviewed this in the past, but it's not up. Ah well, what can I say? This is excellent Chinese food. Between this place and Zoe's in Cambridge, you've got your two best places in the general vicinity of Boston. I've been here many times over the last ten or so years, and have never been disappointed. In fact, being a Jew On Christmas, I will be returning later today. Unlike much "Chinese" fare in America, this is not bland and dripping in grease. Every dish has a very distinct flavor (except the green tea shrimp preparation. Don't get that) and covers a wide range. Lamb done two ways is an old favorite, as is the seafood hot pot. You can also This isn't Sri Racha, but literally chili oil with pepper seeds. It's not extremely spicy, but provides a very nice smokey finish. (Though as for the spiciness, bear in mind that I am a pepper freak - as in I am growing Scorpion Peppers - so I can't truly give a fair review). read more

Was disappointed that my dining partner and I waited so long for our lunch. We were the second pair of people that came in after they opened and we noticed after about a half hour of convo that several others had been seated and eating their main lunch mail. Finally they served my dining partner her main lunch meal but I had to wait at least 7 more minutes for mine. My dining partner said that this happened last week while she was there with someone else. She had to wait several minutes for her food while her friend got theirs. Weird. I was in the mood for some Chinese food and we usually go to our favorite resturant in another town but it was pouring rain so we decided to try their lunch special I didn't expect much food for a lunch special but this was ridiculous I opened the container and there was a spoonful of rice ( no meat) I guess that is costly I ordered the sesame chicken and the breading all fell off and inside the chicken was so hard I couldn't even chew it we threw out our dinners and vowed never to go back they charged us 10.00 a meal and our bill was 21.00 or so next time I will go back where the food is the best and they put meat in my rice!!!!! read more

There are NOT many good options in Winchester. China Sky is our goto for takeout. The food here is fresh and they are always so nice to us. I like the sizzling chicken, my husband recommends the beef broccoli. The interior could use a small revamp and the prices are steep, but this is one of the few places we keep coming back to in the Center. Very tasty. read more

After many recommendations from family & friends to try China Sky, my family decided to make a 3 pm reservation on New Years Eve. The food was great! Unfortunately, our service was horrible. I realize that the restaurant business is extremely busy on holidays, especially yesterday. From the moment we sat down we were rushed, through the appetizer, meal, drinks and paying the bill. If they did not have time to serve us, they should not have given us a reservation to dine there. Our server mentioned on several occasions that she was very busy. The whole dining room was practically empty and she was serving only two tables including us. Our plates were even being cleared from the table without being finished. We have never been so uncomfortable during a dining experience, and I have worked in the restaurant business for years. Unfortunately, this first impression could keep us from returning. read more

Any dish where the chicken isn't friend tends to be underwhelming at this restaurant which is unfortunate, but the tangerine chicken (and beef) are amazing.
