Chinatown Cafe at 2317 W University Dr #125, Denton, TX 76201 First thing you want to know is this restaurant has rewards program. So make sure you get your rewards card and get it stamped every time you eat here. Now to me this is a typical Chinese buffet that caters to a lot of different tasty items for lunch especially. I was able to eat corn dog and fries somedays. Typically the food is very good, hot, fresh and ready to eat at 11:00 a.m. I do want to give out to shout out to my server ‍ I always sit in the front right and this guy is always very attentive and focused on details when he's serving the customers. Next time I got to get to know his name better. I would definitely recommend eating here anytime you're craving some delicious Chinese food with extra

Seafood Deluxe with flies added apparently. Disgusting

I ordered from them and after beginning to eat I found a big black fly in the vegetables. They need the health board in this place.

    Lots of food.

CHINATOWN CAFE 06-19-24 We tried the all you can eat buffet. The restaurant was clean had a nice atmosphere. It was about 5:30 pm. They were filling the buffet up fuller for the dinner rush. The food was hot and fresh. They had many choices. Almost too many! I think they had something for everyone. They had Sushi, a fungus type grill where you pick your meat and veggies and they cook them for you. Many choices! The food was about average. Nothing special just good.

Okay loooooook y'all. It's a Chinese food buffet. But let me tell you something. It's pretty dang good!! My husband's side of the family has been coming here for years. Somebody graduates, Chinatown, funeral, Chinatown. It is what it is. The service here is impeccable!! Our drinks stayed full, plates were picked up quickly, napkins were plentiful, I was quite impressed!! The restaurant itself is pretty old but they keep it sparkly clean!! You could see your reflection in the floors, plus plenty of wall TVs around if you need to catch up on the news. So many different choices including: sesame chicken, broccoli beef, salt n pepper shrimp, pizza, salad, all the noooooodles, fried rice, soup(s), and a stir fry area. The only reason this place doesn't get 5 stars is because of the sushi area. Sushi is all rice and the rolls fall apart when you try to eat it. But the buffet itself was delicious!! I also appreciate that they have specials deals during different hours. We went as a big group so got one person in free! That was cool. And if you haven't heard of the app TOO GOOD TO GO, download it right meow. Love restaurants that participate and help out with food waste. It's always a nice surprise (and probably a bit of a gamble) getting a bunch of buffet leftovers but it hits the spot!! Go check them out!! Great little buffet in Denton.

Their food is very good for the price, and dinner they have Mongolian. Would suggest going when it's a little busy though so it's fresh.

This restaurant had high reviews, the food pics look good, so I said why not give it a try? I placed a pick up order online from their website and parked and went inside to get my food. I did notice they do have a drive through and curbside pick up. Inside was pretty spacious and it had a few people eating around lunch time on a weekday. My food was ready when I went to get it, which was awesome. General Tso's chicken was very delicious. The piece of chicken meat was fresh and tasty and good pieces, but the tough and chewy parts of the chicken. The flavor was good, not too sweet or spicy. However I wish they had broccoli included. The rice was steamed food and tastes as you would expect white rice from a Chinese restaurant to taste like, bland to mild flavor (It's white rice). I definitely would recommend this spot and you should try them out too. I know I'll be back!

(Wtf) the steamed rice was crunchy and the rangoon had to be a few days old. Another spot to scratch off the list. Don't waste your money, or your nights sleep from the potential food poisoning
