All I wanted was just to get apology. But the manager said she has nothing to sorry about. The food came from a factory, so they don't need to apologize to me. Rating a 3 overall as an average. 4 for take-out, 2 for buffet. My husband and I have been getting their take-our for years - if only we lived a tiny bit closer so they'd deliver to us! I give it 4 stars because it is always fast, hot, and decent-quality. Plus, they throw in complimentary cinnamon-sugar donut-things. Mmm. The food isn't amazing, but for Denton, I don't know anywhere better for Chinese take-out. I've only been in for their buffet once. Wasn't very impressed - lots of selection, but while the food wasn't bad, it wasn't as good as their take-out. Really excellent food. My only complaint was the wonton. The sushi was delicious. In fact if you want, you can ask the sushi maker to make you a special one just for you. This was my first time going and I can assure I will go again. For ten dollars, it was absolutely worth it. read more

This is the best Chinese buffet I've ever been to! They have such a good variety and all the times I've been the staff doesn't have a problem with keeping everything stocked and full. Completely disgusted and deeply hurt. I have been coming into this establishment for years. So today, my experience should have been a pleasant one. Instead, I was humiliated and disrespected in front of the entire restaurant. I'm currently under dietary eating restrictions and I do not eat meat nor dairy. So as I normally do when I go here, I get the carry out and fill my container with whole prawns/shrimps and veggies. I took the rest of prawns and when I turned around the lady who perhaps is the owner and/or manager stood behind me and gave me a dirty stare. My sister who was with me asked her, "Can you bring out some more shrimps." The lady said to us rudely, "She took it all." I told her that's right because I paid for it and that dirty look you gave me is very tacky and unprofessional. I went to the front desk to complain about her. She cowardly power walked out of sight. I spoke to the man who might have been the manager and/or owner. I believe they are married as well. I explained to him what had occurred. He stated to me I cannot get too much of one thing and that I need to get some of different things. What! Are you joking?! I'm not a child, your patient, or stupid! I informed I paid for this container and I can fill it with how much I want. He told me I can't if I'm not dining in. I asked him to show me the sign that states that. Of course he couldn't. I told him you can't because you wouldn't have customers. Even other customers came to my defense and told them they was wrong. My sister and I ended up getting our money back and advised them we would never return. Well, my mother was very disturbed by this as her and my dad go there often so she called to get answers. The man who I talked to told her that customers get mad when the dish is gone. My mom said well that's why you work quickly to bring more food out. At the end of the conversation he apologized and told my mom to tell us to come back and it would be free. No, that's not good enough. That lady who disrespected me and caused an unnecessary problem needs to apologize for her nasty attitude and actions. You do not treat loyal customers like this. We ordered about $50.00 worth of takeout for dinner. Very bad decision! We ordered a couple of beef dishes and a couple of chicken dishes. After returning home, we realized that the substance that they use in all of the dishes is neither chicken or beef. It was a disgusting gristle type substance. This is not what we ordered and we were very upset. We were cheated out of our money. What a Ripoff! I would encourage anyone to eat elsewhere for American Chinese food. By far the worst dining experience that I have had in years. The first problem was finding a clean plate. After going through about five plates, I found one with no food baked on. I should have left at this point. Even though there was steam coming out of the serving tables, a lot of the food was luke warm at best. The large prawns were mealy, rotten texture. Owned by same people that own Red Peppers in Denton. They do not have the largest slection in Denton, Evergreen Buffet does. On my visits there was no shrimp and no crab legs. There was a grill that cooked red chicken in the open which was good and there was alot of American food. Very generic place. When first seated had to wait for a server to take a bev order and basic order which has always taken too long to even be recognized. Food that was there was tasty and everything the correct temperature. nothing stood out as exceptional. They told me to go to their other restaurant if I wanted crab legs or shrimp. Food was ok, but what bothered me the most was that we were done eating but when the waitress came to pick up plates she reached over our 1 year old and grabbed the plates and almost dropped them on him and she spilled all kinds of food in my wife's lap. I do not know why people can't wait until you get up or at least wait until u can grab plates so that u aren't picking them up over a child's head. Their food is very good for the price, and dinner they have Mongolian. Would suggest going when it's a little busy though so it's fresh.

The inside area is not too bad, but when you arrive, they are in rush to get your order for drink. They didn't let us to take a seat. We were sitting when the lady took the order for drink. The table was too small for four people. A square table with less than 40 inches width. We couldn't move when we put some plates. There was no knife on the table :( and when you need some napkin, you have to ask the waiter or waitress. Usually in buffets, someone takes care of your table and take the extra dishes. No one was doing that in this buffet. Grill had slight variation, and most of the time nobody was there to take care of you. Limited sauce, no ranch for salad. The worst thing that was bothering me all the time was the way the manager and the receptionist staring at people. I felt like they are watching me to find how much I'm eating, BUFFET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
