    Shrimp roll was good
    Life's An Adventure X.

The porridge was too runny. The shrimp roll was food, but shrimp tasted like it's been frozen for awhile. Because it's a small business and family run, it's alright. But not the hype that Yelp is giving the rating at. Cash only.

Good , I like the rice noodles rolls. I eating in here more than 7 years. I like egg noodles rolls, noodles soup.

Stopped by this place after we went to delicious food corner and couldn't find a parking spot. I've been to my fair share of Hong Kong cafe restaurants. The experience here was bad. There was little to no service. When we walked inside the restaurant, there was no greeting. We dined in and sat down at a table. Menus were being given to us with no word. No "hello" We ordered green onion pancake, fried potstickers, 豬肉腸粉加蛋 and the soy sauce noodles. When the food arrived, we were in shock they were still using styrofoam plates and utensils. Food did not look appetizing and the soy sauce noodles were not crispy like delicious food corner. The green onion pancake looks like the frozen kind you can get at 99 ranch market. It was chewy but only gave a few pieces on a super tiny plate. For the portion, it did not meet the expectations compared to the price we paid. I believe it was $5-$6 for a small plate of onion pancake. I would not come back again.

3.5 stars - It was very quiet as we were the only people there for lunch. Two TV screens covering tennis & soccer. The food was overall good. I found the beef wonton soup to be somewhat light in taste needing some more flavor, salt and spice. Food came out hot. Service was nice. Our server spoke Chinese and English. The place is clean. At times I could smelled a hint of cigarette smoke in the air that affected my overall experience,...(even with the front door closed, IDK. ) Parking was adequate. I hope more customers come to keep them in business. I would explore other things on the menu if I were to return.

CASH ONLY! This place is super tiny and run by husband and wife. Looks like they had to bring their daughter/grand daughter to work today. With that said, it's understandable for service to be slow since it's only then. Yes they use styrofoam plates to serve for dine in. If you are offended by the waste, go somewhere else! It's probably a cost savings decision for the owners not to hire a dishwasher. The rice noodle rolls were evening I thought they were gonna be. Personally I prefer the shrimp over the BBQ pork. Could be better if they added like yellow chives or something but still yummy. Price has gone up within the last couple years.

I'll just leave a picture of the shrimp noodle roll on here and you can be the judge as to why I gave this place 1 star. It looks how it tastes.

Looking for a carb overload that you won't regret? You've come to the right place. Here's what we got: - BBQ pork rice noodle roll ($4.50) add egg ($1): 5/5 - Beef rice noodle roll add egg: 5/5 - Shrimp rice noodle roll: 4/5 - Beef chow fun ($9.95): 4/5 - BBQ pork & wonton noodles ($8.75): 4/5 "E&J YUMMY Kitchen" lives up to its name! Everything tasted fresh and it's so cheap. Def would recommend adding egg to the rice noodle rolls. Adds more ~dimension~ and fills you up for longer. My fave of the rice rolls was the BBQ pork. I am craving these now I hate myself!

For pick up: On a Friday morning in August, I was craving for wonton noodle soup and beef rice noodle soup. I seen the sign open and parked in front. I ordered both wonton noodle soup and beef rice noodle roll in Cantonese/English $11.22. The wait is 10-15min wait. I asked about their new hours and it's the owner son says 9-6. Cash only. I took it home to eat. It taste like how I remember before cov19. The wontons are good size w/ 4-5 pieces with pieces gai lan. The beef rice noodle is good and melts in my mouth. The way they make is Hong Kong style. Egg on top is optional. They also make chow mein or chow fun or appetizers. Nice staff.

Thankful they are open for to-go during this covid pandemic! They have delicious rice rolls! I ordered noodles and porridge as well but have yet to try it yet as I'm trying to save it to eat throughout the week. In regards to the rice rolls, they're definitely a must try! It's simple, yet so delicious - great comfort food. There are many protein options to choose from and you can choose to include egg in it. I ordered one with shrimp and one with pork - both including egg. The soy sauce complimented every bite of the rice roll. The texture of it was silky and smooth. Hope they are able to make it through this pandemic! Would love to go back again. Worker was friendly and made sure we had all the sauces we wanted to go with our food.

I went and ordered pickup today (04/18/2020) and I had the worst experience ever. I walk in and menu in is to the left side entrance. The girl gives me a little paper to write down my order. Then she takes the same paper and rewrite it in chinese for the chefs to understand. She could have taken my order instead. I pay and they told me it will be ready in 10 minutes and to wait outside. 10 minutes later, it's not done yet. "It'll be done in a few more minutes, I'll let you know" Another 10 minutes later I walk in and asked again "is it ready yet?""Oh yes, it's ready. I tried looking for you outside but didn't see anyone" (I was staring at the entrance the entire time I was waiting outside and I never saw anyone come out to "look" for me) I go home and see they did an extremely poor job of packaging my food. I ordered 2 orders of beef brisket ho fun noodle soup and 2 century egg and lean meat porridge. The lids for both porridge was cracked and the porridge was spilling over the cracked lid. Things they can do better during COVID-19 pickups. 1. Have hand sanitizer available by the menus. 2. They should take the order instead of me writing it down (who knows how many people have touched the pen before me) and they have to rewrite it in Chinese. 3. When packaging food in one plastic bag with containers stacking on top of each other, they should put a cardboard on top to improve stability of the containers. Anyways, I don't see myself coming back for their comfort food anytime soon. The only measure they taken was to wearing a mask but as a customer they did not provide hand sanitizer or provide good customer service even if they were already lacking in that department.

    Salty Chicken Feet
    Cam P.

Came here on Saturday noon time and there was no wait. The cashier lady greeted us cordially. It's a mom-and-pop shop and it isn't too big of a place. We ordered the chicken feet for appetizer. For entrees we got the steamed rice roll with egg and BBQ pork and the wonton pork legs noodles. The chicken feet was a cold appetizer and they were kind of hard. They can afford a bit more time to cook the feet. The steamed rice rolls were not the most silky or smoothest ones that we've had, but for the price it was, there was a fair amount of BBQ pork. It was standard. The noodles came in a moderately large bowl. The broth was hot which is ALWAYS a plus. Noodles with lukewarm broth is kind of nasty anyways. There were 5 pieces of wonton and 4 pieces of pork legs. The noodles were not broken, so that's good. The wontons were standard, fairly meaty. The pork legs were not over cooked because they were not super soft or soggy. The staff were very friendly throughout our visit. For a relatively quick bite with super affordable prices, I'd recommend this spot of Cantonese "street foods".

small family restaurant with decent food located inside a strip mall, this place looks small but actually have some tables inside. The staff are all family so you can tell they make all the food ingredients themselves. The food taste is not bad. Pretty professional. The rice rolls, the congee, and the noodles all taste pretty good. Only downside are the drinks, which taste blend. Seems kind of weird because you would think the drinks are much easier to make compared to more complex dishes like rice rolls. Inside is pretty clean. Staff are ok friendly. Price is reasonable. Portions are good. Overall, a good place to visit for some quick noodles!

Elizabeth's Star Rating System 1 star = Terrible, would not recommend, will tell family and friends to avoid 2 stars = I won't be back but you might enjoy it 3 stars = I'll be back eventually 4 stars = I'll definitely be back 5 stars = I'm telling my friends and family about this place! E&J makes the best Cantonese style rice rolls! My favorite is the shrimp and I always add an egg. Their pork rice roll and porridges are good too. Their Beef Stew is so good too. I always ask for more sauce simple, home-style food. Their lemon ice tea reminds me so much of Hong Kong, down to the size. Americans may think it is too small but this is the norm outside of the US. I've been a loyal fan for years since this little HK Café opened, highly recommend. P.S. Yelp is wrong on their business hours. They are closed every Wednesday. I learned this the hard way

I'm sure you can find something for yourself or order a couple of items if you're going with one other person or a small group as well. Made a reservation for a group of friends that meet up for a meal from time to time and this restaurant is perfect for that dynamic. When we got there, I checked and and we were seated right away. It's not often I get to go to these full service banquet style Asian (mostly Chinese) restaurants but I miss going to them as a kid with my family. The service from the folks who sat us and the ladies taking our order was great from the beginning. So friendly! For myself, I got some milk tea to wash down all the delicious food we ordered. Although we didn't do any of the specials that required ordering a day or two in advance (the braised morel and chicken soup or the winter melon soup), I think we ordered really well! As a group, we ordered: -Sauteed water spinach with spicy bean (needed some veggies) -Cantonese style mapo tofu (classic) -Spicy salt shrimp -Chestnut and chicken in clay pot -Lamb and bean curd hot pot (soup) -House special Vietnamese style lobster (more than 5 lbs), with added noodles I thought everything was tasty and just having a variety like that in a sizeable group makes this type of dining experience such a delight. We splurged a bit with the lobster and without it or per person cost probably would have been a lot lower, but sometimes you have to splurge and with a dish like the lobster here, it's a good one to do so!

First, parking was so difficult!! So many cars crammed close to each other and the restaurant wasn't even full, but we parked in the street nearby. The place had plenty of seating when we arrived, spacious tables that fit our group of 16. We had a large party and split into two tables, each table had peanuts and tea, we also ordered our own bit with the same serve at the same time. We ordered our usual dishes such as corn soup, honey walnut shrimp, salt and pepper squid, sal and pepper pork chops, filet beef dish, hainan chicken and many more. The service seemed slow, the bad part is that our other table got all their dishes while we had none. It took a while before our first dish arrived which was honey walnut shrimp, it was good, a bit soggy but flavorful. We asked for rice and started eating, once most of the shrimp was gone the rest of the dishes came. They were delicious, they tasted great and had good portions. The pork chop was great fresh but soon started to get tough as it cooled. The fried squid had parts that were very seasoned and some bland. My sister in law ordered a seafood tofu dish that was the best one but we ate everything before I took a photo. We also shared dishes across the tables to try out our orders. I tried the fried crab but it had more garlic than crab! The restroom was the sad part, there was no toilet paper, and no paper towels. The women's restroom door was propped wide open as well. I had to call my sister to bring in napkins for me... Overall a great meal, we may come back if the occasion allows.
