    BBQ Pork Fried Rice
    Wai S.

I was here yesterday and had a fantastic experience. The dining room was bright and lively. Service was good and better than what I usually expect at a Hong Kong cafe. I got the lunch special and was impressed by the quality and value. Good prices and the portion sizes I remember from my youth. I ordered the BBQ pork fried rice, and they nailed it. It had that wonderful wok hei. My only small nitpick is that it was slightly under seasoned, but overall I enjoyed it. We also ordered the baked pork chop with fried rice, and that dish really stood out. The pork chop was nicely cooked and meaty. The tomato sauce and cheese were savory. Baked pork chop is pure comfort food for me, and this version definitely delivered. Would definitely come back.

Good service great deal. Noodle was not over cooked , lots of pork chops . Tasty food

Saw a post recently about their salted egg yolk chicken wings so I had to check them out! Love salted egg yolk anything. They did not disappoint! So delish outside and the wings were so moist and tender! Loved it! Steamed rice noodles were excellent as was the beef chow fun! The wok hei was . So good I kept wanting to eat more. Loved the on choy (hollow stem veggies) cooked in a spicy fermented tofu sauce, had a little kick. The scrambled eggs with shrimp were cooked to perfection! Shrimp was not overcooked and eggs were moist and fluffy! Baked sole filet rice was huge and cheesy! So good. Everything we had was excellent! Definitely recommend this place for dinner. Sorry I forgot to take pics of menu. Too busy chatting. Service was good too. Restaurant is nice and roomy with high ceilings and nice decor. Great parking too! Plus it's free!

Haven't been here for a while. Ordered the seafood and bean curd clay pot, deep fried fish filet with spicy salt, salted egg & minced pork clay pot rice, and black pepper beef udon. The dishes were good, but the minced pork & salted egg clay pot rice wasn't as good. It lacked flavor and didn't tasted like a clay pot rice. The fish filet was very yummy and our favorite dish. There was only 1 server since there weren't that many people, but it was a nice, friendly, and quick service. Some of the items on the menu have changed, but they haven't updated it. You will need to ask the server upon ordering. It was pretty empty and quiet with only a few tables. Food and prices are still good tho so will definitely come back.

French toast was good. Their breakfast menu provides excellent value. Their tomato baked rice however was not as good as before. Perhaps an off day or change of recipe. Coffee milk tea and lemon ice also lacked flavor on this recent visit.

One of the lesser known HK cafe spot in the SGV. My favorite place for their baked items. Pricier items compared to other places but the quality makes up for it. The baked pork chop rice comes with a beautifully broiled cheese on top. Crispy and has a tasty sauce. Good ratio of sauce and rice. Standard pork chop pieces. Good service and quick with refills. The pork with preserved egg congee. Came out hot. RIce it self didn't have much flavor but the pork was flavorful along with the preserved egg which carried it. Spacious cafe with underground parking. Was quiet for a Tuesday night dinner. Would come back for the baked items and to try their other stuff.

Order this. Apparently the best in town according to the moms.

Five stars!! This place deserves to be busy on a Tuesday night. The white fish with black bean sauce, amazing. The steamed salted fish patty with ginger, even I liked it...tge french dtyle strak cubes, tender.. .the portions are generous...the food is hot....everything authentic and delicious. Parking is free, underground...don't take the surface street entrance, go below. The dining room is spacious and open....our 80 and 90 year old moms love this place. Bring yours.

I came to this restaurant looking for one thing and exactly one dish only, baked pork chop rice. I have been scouring all of san gabriel valley for the best pork chop rice comparable to what I grew up eating. The baked pork chop rice was more fried rice than sauce and pork chop. There wasn't much pork chop to begin with and wasn't the thicker kind. The fried rice at the bottom was pretty tasty but the lack of tomato sauce made it taste dry. There just wasn't a good balance of sauce to pork chop to fried rice. It felt like a 2:1:5 ratio. My must pair with a baked pork chop rice is a lemon iced tea. Their lemon iced tea was way too sweet for my liking. Even after adding more slices of lemon, the sugary-ness was too strong. It did not pair well with the baked pork chop rice. Overall, I came with high expectations after being told this place specializes in baked pork chop rice. It did not live up to the hype and I was slightly disappointed. My search continues.

I have been coming back to this restaurant many times because I like their food and prices. The waitress was very friendly and helpful. We had chicken served with ginger and green onion sauce, beef chow mein (Hong Kong style), seafood with tofu in clay pot, fish fillet with vegetables and spicy salt chicken wings. All the dishes we ordered were delicious. By the way, If you like your chow mein noodles crispy, tell the wait staff you want Hong Kong style chow mein with crispy noodles. If you don't like crispy noodles tell them you don't want crispy noodles. You can order it the way you like it. At lunch time, you can order coffee, tea or half coffee half tea for an additional $1.99 (special pricing). A very good deal. You can get one free refill. The dining room and restrooms are nice and clean. Plenty of parking underneath the restaurant.

My #1 place to eat is Longten Cafe!!! I love this place so much. The food is just phenomenal and I would highly recommend this place for anyone who just loves to eat and eat. The service here was hands down amazing! So kind to their customers and cooked the food to perfection! The ambiance was nice and cozy. We wanted to watch something on one of the TV's but it was broken. But that's okay. 100% highly recommend this place and that I would definitely come back here.

Definitely my favorite place for Hong Kong-style breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The food is delicious and affordable, and most of the time there's no wait at all. The ambiance feels like stepping into a once-fancy neighborhood restaurant, with a nostalgic, classic charm. Service is consistently fast and friendly, and parking is free and conveniently located. What more could you ask for?

With underground parking in the plaza, Lengthen Cafe offers classic Cantonese cuisine and Hong Kong cafe style dishes. The decor of the restaurant was a bit outdated, but there was plenty of seating and fairly open layout. Service was fast on a weekday. We went for the lunch special available 11am-5pm with entree selections between $11.99-12.99 and drinks $1.99 (hot or cold HK lemon tea, milk tea, coffee milk tea, coffee, and Chinese tea) with 1 refill. Price wise, it's a great deal as the portion was generous; however, the flavor didn't wow me. We tried beef chow fun, beef chow mein, grilled chicken steak, and fried pork chop with spicy salt; all were average or under seasoned. The mushroom sauce for the grilled chicken steak had more butter than mushroom flavor, wouldn't recommend. The drinks were not too sweet, and the condensed milk jar was readily available on the table to add to the desired sweetness.

Longten has lunch specials so you know my dad and I are going to try this place out. And by try, I mean come by at least once every two weeks. It's pretty close by but also the quality of food is pretty good for how inexpensive the lunch specials are. You have to pay for the drinks, but so far I haven't seem a limit on the refill (I typically refill only once though but I've also been able to take the drink togo). I would recommend getting the salt and pepper pork chop - my dad says this is literally better than most places we've gone to. I think they season the batter, which is how its so flavorful. We also typically get the eggplant, which comes in a huge plate and comes with rice. My dad likes their curry but I'm not super excited about it. Its good, but not exciting, if you know what I mean. Service is typically pretty good. They move around pretty quickly and food typically comes out pretty quickly too. I would spend about 50-60 dollars and its enough food to last two people maybe an additional 2 or 3 meals, especially since most dishes come with a dish of white rice. The rice isn't great, like it's kind of dry, but its free so no complaints here.

It was bright inside and tables were mostly separated with tacky table dividers... The ordering process was unique. Chilean sea bass was sold out and we were told that pea shoots were not in season, despite seeing them at the grocery store next door... Started off with the signature lobster noodles. The staff brought out a lobster and claimed that it was 4.1 lbs. Lobster was priced at $40/lb. Noodles were a $20 surcharge. The lobster dish was gigantic and perfect for sharing. Flavoring was good and the e-fu noodles were decent. Portions were generous too. The seafood soup was okay, it felt more like an instant soup vs the traditional soups that were made overnight. The ong choy with beancurd was a gigantic portion and well stir-fried. The Vietnamese style filet mignon was tasty. Beef was tender, fragrant, and flavorful. Service by the staff was good. Meal ended off with a complimentary dessert. ~$75/head after tax and gratuity for dinner.

First, parking was so difficult!! So many cars crammed close to each other and the restaurant wasn't even full, but we parked in the street nearby. The place had plenty of seating when we arrived, spacious tables that fit our group of 16. We had a large party and split into two tables, each table had peanuts and tea, we also ordered our own bit with the same serve at the same time. We ordered our usual dishes such as corn soup, honey walnut shrimp, salt and pepper squid, sal and pepper pork chops, filet beef dish, hainan chicken and many more. The service seemed slow, the bad part is that our other table got all their dishes while we had none. It took a while before our first dish arrived which was honey walnut shrimp, it was good, a bit soggy but flavorful. We asked for rice and started eating, once most of the shrimp was gone the rest of the dishes came. They were delicious, they tasted great and had good portions. The pork chop was great fresh but soon started to get tough as it cooled. The fried squid had parts that were very seasoned and some bland. My sister in law ordered a seafood tofu dish that was the best one but we ate everything before I took a photo. We also shared dishes across the tables to try out our orders. I tried the fried crab but it had more garlic than crab! The restroom was the sad part, there was no toilet paper, and no paper towels. The women's restroom door was propped wide open as well. I had to call my sister to bring in napkins for me... Overall a great meal, we may come back if the occasion allows.
