This is the original Delicious Food Corner that I know of, and I remember there always being a line. I haven't been back in a long time since this location is a bit farther from me, but after seeing someone post about the $8.99 beef chow fun, I had to come check it out. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They had actually remodeled this location and everything is all nice and new.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I came in knowing exactly what I wanted, but I was also pleasantly surprised to see that they offer an afternoon tea menu. I'll have to come back to try it sometime, but my main reason for visiting was the beef chow fun. It's also available on the afternoon tea menu, but it's about $4 more to include a drink, which I decided to skip this time. Here is my verdict on the been chow fun: the portion size was solid, and I noticed they used both red and yellow onions in the dish. I do wish there were more bean sprouts, but they were generous with the beef, which I appreciated. Flavor-wise, it was quite good as well. Overall, I would come back if I happen to be in the area. Otherwise, the pricing is comparable to other Hong Kong-style cafés, so I wouldn't necessarily go out of my way just for this location.

Haven't been here in a long time... Stopped by for breakfast and the place is remodeled. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside has less tables/chairs now.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We got two combo meals and two dim sum dishes. Dim sum dishes from the combo meals- be aware that there will be less, i.e. ha gow usually comes in 4PCS, the combo comes in 3 PCS. The claypot porridges- preserved egg and the watercress with pork ribs were both good. Overall good.

I came here eat lunch and ordered the Sizzling beef udon with black pepper. I found out the bell peppers were spoiled. I told the man I think he is the owner who always wear the hat about the spoiled bell peppers. He noticed and went in to the kitchen. Then he came out and didn't say anything. Not even apology and pretended nothing happens. What kind of service is that. It will be my last time coming to this restaurant. I will put zero star if it lets me.

We hadn't been back for a while. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I think they just remodeled the dining room with new chairs and tables. Very nice and comfortable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The servers are very nice and efficient. Make you feel comfortable like you are in HK. Thank you for the amazing food and services, I remember I had bad experiences many years ago. I am pretty sure they changed ownership. Highly recommended and will be back more often too. Thank you.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]So glad to see this spot finally back open after their renovation! The inside definitely looking fresh, though it's still on the smaller side, so be prepared for a bit of a wait.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]This place gets super busy in the morning.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The best part? They're running some killer reopening promos right now: * $6 Congee: Perfect for a quick, comforting breakfast. * $6.99 Beef Chow Fun: This kicks in after 11:00 AM and is a total steal. If you're missing the Arcadia location while it's closed for its own renovation, you'll be happy to know it's the same crew working here now. The menu is basically identical to the Arcadia one, including all the solid dim sum options we usually get. The food is as consistent as ever, but honestly, Monterey Park is a bit too much of a trek for us to keep them in our regular rotation. If you're in the area, though, definitely hit it up for the deals while they last!

DFC is one of my Cantonese family's favorites whenever we come to SGV! [[HIGHLIGHT]]We came a bit past 5 pm on a Saturday and it surprisingly wasn't busy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We found parking easily and were seated right away. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Pretty spacious interior and fast service.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Great prices and portions, we ordered 3 dishes for our family of 4 and still had leftovers! -Seafood chow mein crispy noodle (4.5/5): crispy and chewy noodles, came with lots of seafood, sauce was a good amount of flavor -Salty fish chicken fried rice (4/5): nicely flavorful but rice was a bit too soft/moist for me, more salty fish would've been nice -Salt and pepper pork chops (4.5/5): tasty, crispy, flavorful, not too salty but not too much meat

My first time at this Monterey park location after I loved the Rosemead DFC! It surprisingly wasn't too busy for a Saturday dinner around 5:30PM, we found parking and were seated instantly. We ordered 3 dishes for 4 people and even had leftovers! DFC is one of our favorites as a Cantonese family Salt and Pepper Spare Ribs (5/5): my favorite dish to get at Cantonese restaurants and this one did not disappoint! Crispy, flavorful and not too fatty Salty Fish Chicken Fried Rice (4.5/5): I would've liked more salty fish pieces, but still good overall and a huge portion Seafood Chow Mein Crispy Noodle (4/5): actually tasted more flavorful and better than when we got it at the Rosemead location, but still a little bland for my taste Service was fast and friendly. I would definitely come back!

First time in this restaurant. Very good breakfast place. They've breakfast comb for $14.95. You get to choose 3 items. We ordered 2 sets of breakfast comb. So we choose the seafood congee, Chinese donuts, sticky rice, soy sauce chow mein and Siu Mai with milk tea and lemon tea. It all came out perfect. It was a bargain. Totally recommended.

I keep coming back here for their unique fish paste 魚滑 noodles soup or fish paste porridge. You can't eat this anywhere else but here. So yummy and sift for my Dad aka senior citizen with little teeth left . You should try it! Next to Fwy 60 in Montebello .

    Hk Style Pineapple Bun
    Sheeny N.

I've been coming to Delicious Food Corner ever since I was young with my family! Very scrumptious Hong Kong style cuisine! My favorite items are the Pineapple Bun with Butter and the Minced Beef & Egg on Rice. The pineapple bun has a sweet crispy crust on top of a pillowy soft bun. The butter adds a savory flavor to the bread. The Minced Beef & Egg on Rice is one of their most popular dishes. It's well seasoned and I like how the egg comes out runny. Make sure to mix it up before eating! They also give you the option to order this dish non-spicy or spicy. Honorable mention: Their Macau Style Pork Chop Sandwich, Soy Sauce Chow Mein, & their Rice Macaroni! The pork chop is very crispy and comes sandwiched between buttered baguettes. It does come out in a large portion, so it can be hard to eat. I recommend cutting it into smaller pieces. The rice macaroni has such a unique texture, and I love how it comes in soup. The chow mein is a classic. Soy sauce based and comes with veggies. You have the option to order it in a small or large portion. Overall, very authentic Hong Kong style dishes and one of my favorite restaurants in Monterey Park! There is free parking in the lot and on the street. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I highly recommend going early on weekends because it does get crowded.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Very spacious inside and there are tables and booth seating offered.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

We like this Delicious food corner as the staff is nice and they have an A grade here. Super fast service for your Cantonese favorites. Plenty of parking in front and on the street. Good specials on weekdays. Excellent Sweet & Sour pork!

This was my parent's favorite afternoon tea spot. However, the taste if food significantly changed recently. We ordered the same dishes from their afternoon tea special but everything is only salty and has no flavor to the food. Especially the black pepper stirred fried Udon, it was unacceptably salty and we had ask them to remake it. We asked the server to taste it himself and he agreed it was super salty. We are glad they were happy to remake it. Because sometimes at these Chinese restaurants they could make a big deal out of it. Not sure what happened to the original Chef, but everything was just mostly overly salty. Very disappointing. We wouldn't be coming back for now. Hopefully they can switch the Chef soon.

    Jia M.

Came on a Monday morning and got the set menu with Instant Noodles + Spam, Pineapple Bun + Butter, and Hot Milk Tea. Also ordered the Toast with Peanut Butter + Condensed Milk. Make sure to mix the noodles before eating because all of seasoning is on the bottom! Giving 3 stars because the spam was really salty this time, along with the instant noodle soup base. But the milk tea hit the spot. I like how I can add the condensed milk myself. There's also free refills for the drinks!

Everything came out piping hot and packaged well for takeout. We only waited about 15min, which was not bad at all. We really liked the siu mai and chow fun. Both were savory and addicting. Siu mai were especially juicy and meaty; they definitely satisfied our dim sum cravings. Soup dumplings were ok - I found the wrapper to be doughy and the filling kinda plain. The black sesame roll had an interesting rolled look and a sticky, chewy, jelly-like texture. It tasted like lightly sweetened black sesame paste mixed into what seemed like a combination of mochi and agar. The small parking lot in the back is free. We got lucky finding a spot in the late morning, but when we were ready to back out after getting our food, cars were either circling the lot or waiting for someone to leave.

They opened and closed the door for us which was a nice touch because it was busy inside. We ordered the pork ramen, pork buns, and pork soup dumplings. On to the food! Pork Ramen: 3/5 They give you a hefty amount of noodles and pork. They use a thin noodle here which pairs well with the broth. I truly do believe this was around average for ramen as the flavor in the broth was not as strong or savory. The highlight of the entire entree was definitely the pork, which was tender and flavorful. I probably would not order this again. Pork bun: 5/5 The pork buns were soft and fluffy, almost too good looking to eat. There was the right amount of soup and meat inside that made for a wonderful bite full of flavor. Not dry at all. Would recommend ordering this if you visit. Pork Dumplings: 5/5 The star of the show, the dumplings. They were soft and just like the buns, they had the right amount of soup + meat which made for a delicious bite every time. My toddler even ate some and she's usually super picky about meat. Overall, I'd definitely recommend coming here for the other noodles, the dumplings, and buns. You can skip on the ramen. I would 100% come back here to dine in.
