Came here for my birthday celebration, beware that there is a 50$ cake fee (any size). We were seated at the top, not the main dining room, which was unfortunate, but the environment was still gorgeous. However, the service was incredibly slow, it took nearly 2.5 hours for all the main entries to come out (we were seated at 8:30 and didn't finish our meal until almost 11). The food itself was incredible - I highly recommend the burrata and the eggplant - but I don't think I would come back to visit tbh.

Gorgeous place! Fancy fusion Chinese food. The garlic squid ink noodles were delicious and such a fun take. Wonton soup was served in a teacup so cute. Really unique space in Chinatown! There's not many that are nice quality with good ambiance for Chinese food. Great use of space. It was a bit loud though as the night went on. Great for a nice night out. Check out opera house speakeasy below for the complete experience!

Came here for a birthday dinner, the restaurant was lovely and felt like an escape from New York City into an intimate establishment far away, amazing ambiance. The service was extremely attentive and caring. The food was just okay, in my opinion, for the portion size the value just wasn't there. I also didn't like that the items didn't come out together, but eating my meats with my sides is a personal preference. My favorite items on the menu were the oxtail buns and the specialty drink "year of the horse". Would definitely return for these two items.

10/10 would highly recommend. I would recommend getting a reservation! AMBIANCE First off the restaurant is beautiful. It has two levels and you would never know what's inside based on the outside. Perfect for date night or just having a nice dinner. Definitely wouldn't come here in sweatpants. SERVICE Service was pretty on point there was times a server disappeared a little when we needed something, but there is waitstaff circulating and willing to help so there's always someone that will get what you need. FOOD The food. TO DIE FOR! They offer complimentary hot tea which was also delicious and our drinks were unique and really good. I got the Mott Collins and my friend got Ting's gift shop. Everything was absolutely delicious. Expect the crispy eggplant. The sauce that they put it in made the eggplant soggy which made the eggplant not crispy at all. I think they should just drizzle it on top or put it on the side instead of a big pool at the bottom. Besides that I got out of my comfort zone and tried so much and nothing disappointed! Soooooo good. We got Spicy cucumbers, Vegetable spring rolls, Dan Dan noodles, Johny Fried rice, Chicken stir fry, Crispy Eggplant. 10/10 experience and will absolutely be back.

Lovely date night or celebratory spot - the ambience is everything. Everything is shareable! Make sure you have your entire order ready to put everything in at once. We got the oxtail buns, purse dumplings, dan dan noodles, pork char siu, johny fried rice, crispy eggplant, and snapper. The crispy eggplant was my favorite. It was all really good, my only critiques would be to warm up the oxtail buns more as they could've been hotter and the Dan Dan noodles could've used a little extra kick to diversify the flavor. Service was incredible, our waitress was lovely checking in often and offering to take photos of us.

Apparently, this is a very popular place in a quiet little block in Chinatown. From the outside, it looks like a small place but it's a really big restaurant and very intimate low setting light, which I always enjoy the romance. The food was delicious. I love the way they presented the food. Dumplings was in little tea cups order what you need to order too much because it is shareable food. The service was great. They was quick with bringing out the food quick with cleaning up the table. If there's an empty dish on your plate, somebody will come by and pick that up real quick. They are very attentive. it's just a nice way to enjoy food with a group of friends and have a great time.

10/10 ! On everything! The dinging room is gorgeous. The service is impeccable. The food is to die for. This was our first time and we loved it. Perfect birthday dinner. Our server gave great recommendations. We ordered a bunch of stuff but the star of the show was the Oxtail Bun and the Crab Noodles. My goodness! CHEF, we love you girl!! Wow. Everything went perfect with our white wine and we also had tea which felt great. Great job guys!

Chinese Tuxedo was an incredible dining experience overall. We were visiting NYC and stopped in for dinner--initially couldn't get a reservation, but one opened up on Resy through Global Dining (definitely worth it). Everything we ordered was fire. We had the Shanghai spring rolls, pork dumplings, oxtail buns, Johnny fried rice, gai lan, sweet & sour crispy prawns, and the half roast duck--honestly enough food for two days. The standout dishes were the Johnny fried rice, loaded with shrimp and pork floss (easily a meal on its own), and the half roast duck, which was cooked perfectly. The decor is beautiful and the overall vibe is on point--the music selection alone deserves recognition (someone clearly curated it with intention). My only critique is the timing of the food. Dishes are brought out as they're prepared, but that wasn't communicated to us. The duck ended up coming out just as we were getting ready to leave. That said, it made for a great lunch the next day. Overall, highly recommend--just be aware of the pacing of the meal.

The inside of the restaurant is so beautiful and the service was very fast. The eggplant was my favorite of the order and had an amazing crisp and texture. The Dan Dan noodles were good, however I wanted a little more meat. The duck was also very good, not fatty at all, and extremely filling

The service was good. Food is more Asian fusion. There's two sub basement levels. It was quite dark in there. My eyes took sometime to adjust to the dim lighting. We had the tofu bok choy- very tasty. The pork belly- it was good but the skin was not crunchy and was chewy, the cha sui was lean. The gluten free dessert was amazing. It's citrusy and all textures - chewy, mousse - like , shaved ice , jelly. Worth trying.

Food review: 4/5 Service: 2/5 I'm usually not someone who cares that much about bad or slow service because I get it can get chaotic but this was a whole new level of slow/bad service. Had a reservation for Friday night at 9PM but didn't get seated until 9:45 which was pretty frustrating. I understand waiting 15-20 mins but 45 mins when I have a reservation is ridiculous. Food and drinks were good but again our waitress was just slow. Also it gets really loud so you will find yourself screaming across the table just to get a word in!

I've never heard of this place but my friends took me here for dinner last night! I felt like a celebrity very hidden in china ton, the block is closed off to cars and feels very mysterious in a way. We had a reservation and as soon as we walked in we were seated right away although the full group wasn't there. I thought that was pretty cool bc I've been at places where you can't sit until the full guests are complete. The dining are was a big open space. Dim lighting, kind service. Our waiter was super friendly and recommended all the dishes we ordered -- we had quite a few and everything was really good. The portions were small for 5 of us.m so we ordered multiple items. One my favorite dish's was the steak and I don't even eat meat but it was so juicy and tender.

Chinese Tuxedo is one of those places that actually lives up to the hype -- the space is beautiful, but the food really holds its own. We ordered a mix to try a little of everything, and honestly nothing missed. The Crispy Pork & Chive Dumpling was a standout right away -- super flavorful and perfectly cooked, not heavy at all. The Crispy Eggplant was probably one of my favorite dishes of the night -- really tender with so much flavor packed in. For mains, we had egg fried rice, 'char sui, plus a beef and chicken dish (I wish I remembered the exact names, but both were great). The fried rice had that perfect balance where it's not greasy but still really satisfying, and both the beef and chicken were cooked perfectly and well-seasoned. And OMG the crème brulee tart !! You have to get, one of the best desserts I've ever had! The whole experience felt elevated without being over the top -- great atmosphere, great service, and food that actually matches the vibe. Definitely a place I'd come back to, especially with a group so you can try more of the menu.

We walked into a modern atmosphere with a mix of bar seating, high tops, and traditional tables, the kind of place that works comfortably for anything from a casual lunch to a longer dinner experience. The room had a polished, energetic feel with a layout that accommodated both quick stops and more leisurely meals, and the open kitchen added a layer of engagement as we watched the dishes being prepared. The ramen is the main attraction, with rich and flavorful broths that showcase a lot of depth. We ordered a few bowls and found the tonkotsu ramen standing out with its creamy, savory broth, the porkiness coming through clearly without being overly heavy. The tan tan ramen offered a nice balance of spice and nuttiness, with a broth that had a subtle heat and a sesame undertone that lingered after each bite. Beyond ramen, the menu had plenty of options worth exploring, including pork belly, sticky ribs, bao, duck tacos, and sushi selections, each dish arriving well assembled and thoughtfully prepared. The pork belly was tender and well charred, and the duck tacos offered a rich, savory contrast to the lighter ramen bowls. The lunch sets were also a good way to try multiple items while keeping the meal more approachable. The service was one of the highlights of the experience, with the staff being attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Their recommendations helped guide the meal, and the overall hospitality added to the quality of the visit. The restaurant has a polished atmosphere that feels more like a full dining experience rather than a quick ramen stop. The team moved through the room with efficiency, and the pacing of the meal kept the experience smooth without feeling rushed. Overall, Momosan Ramen & Sake is a great option for those looking for ramen with a more refined touch. While the pricing is higher than a traditional ramen shop, the combination of quality ingredients, creative dishes, and atmosphere makes it a worthwhile place to visit for a more complete Japanese dining experience.

The beef soup is clear and light and the noodles have a delightful texture, with a slight chew and good bounce. There's a good portion of braised beef as well. Tender but a bit fatty for my taste, but given the portion it's not going to kill you. Lamb burger ended up as overkill and will be consumed as leftovers but a quick sampling let me know that it's gamey and fatty with strong notes of cumin. Not a bad thing, but something to note for people that might not generally enjoy lamb or cumin. Black pepper beef rice bowl was solid too. Spice wise, you can calibrate accordingly but I'd recommended at least their regular spice level. Decent amount of tenderized but still chewy beef. Both dishes came with a salad of celery, carrot, cucumber, peanuts and seaweed strips in a light sauce. Couldn't quite figure out the sauce but it was lightly tart and refreshing. Space is clean and modern. Neutral wood, well lit. Service is friendly enough. If you dine in, you order at the kiosk and they'll deliver to your table. The Ahi Tuna was the perfect and proper color it should be. The flavors were SPECTACULAR-WONDERFUL!!! NOTE: WAGAMAMA has added to their menu, since my last visit, so you now have a RAMEN SELECTION, and other yummy additions. I was too full from my spectacular Ahi Tuna Poke Bowl to try the Korean bbq Chicken Wings ($8.95) but, I will definitely be back to try them!! I'll post menu photos so you have an idea of the delicious food choices. (April 2026) My very first delicious bite of Ahi Tuna had a heavenly garlic flavor, it was wonderful, and the sweet green seaweed with rice only added to the wonderfulness. Vertical slices of cucumber, onion and scallion, also add deliciously to my wonderful Poke Bowl. Toasted sesame seeds, too. SIMPLY MARVELOUS!!! Remember to be sure to mix the poke bowl rice as you eat, so that you mix the rice with the yummy sauce that may accumulate at the bottom of the poke bowl. I usually eat a little while, THEN, mix the rice. This was so good, I had to eat, eat, eat, before I could stop to mix. LOL. That sweet green seaweed was so yummy!! A lovely mix of flavors...the garlic, the sweetness....I LOVED IT ALL SO MUCH!!!! When was the last time you enjoyed a dish so very much that you felt like standing up in the restaurant and telling everyone: THIS IS SOOO DELICIOUS!!!! Well, I felt like that, but I didn't stand up and tell everyone, but I did tell the manager, who happen to come to the table to ask how everything was. And I let him know how much I was enjoying the Ahi Tuna Poke Bowl. He explained why and how the tuna was so flavorful. We had a delightful brief foodie chat. What a joy!! The service is very nice here. I like the atmosphere too. And the music, which is cool; it does not interfere with thinking, or having a conversation. I really like it here . The women's rest room was very nice, and clean, with a Dyson Hand Dryer, so no paper towels on the floor. Yay! Helping our environment, too!! And I like the black and white wall paper, too. See my photos My last visit I enjoyed the Pad Thai, and the same non-alcoholic beverage, " Asian Mint Limeade", from the MINDFUL DRINKS area on the beverage menu. ($9.50) (April 2026). A nice treat! It does have a light carbonation (bubbles). This visit my delicious meal was from the BOWLS SECTION of the food menu, it was the AHI TUNA POKE BOWL ($17.95) (April 2026) With warm, and hot weather on the way, I know I will be enjoying this AHI TUNA POKE BOWL again...and again! I remembered i liked my experience going to one in London in 2024 and decided to go. I love how attentive the wait staff are, a little too attentive. A waitress, she had long hair and a nose ring, approached me when I was just glancing her way during eating. I didn't need anything, but I appreciate the favor. That same waitress gave me my receipt too early like she wanted me to leave ASAP. This was right before I asked to look at the desserts after I finished my meal. A "Would you like some dessert?" would have be appreciated. Cedrick, my principal waiter, was phenomenal. He decided to take care of me after no one was at the hosting desk for 5 minutes after I arrived. I had the chicken potsticker ramen and it was delicious! The potsticker was seasoned very well: my favorite part. To drink, I had the Asian Arnold Palmer and it was a cute drink! Only downside is the sweetness was not even distributed through the drink, even after I mixed the drink. Even though I had an issue with the service, I saw how caring they were (he looked like a manager now) to a family that came after me with organizing their seats and getting a baby chair. I just wished they gave me the same respect instead of rushing me out the door.

Of course they had classic shio and miso ramens, but they also had a duck tsukumen, a red snapper ramen, a black truffle ramen, and the dish I set my sights on-- the uni mazemen. There were also lots of appetizers and a long list of high end onigiri featuring proteins like scallop lemon shio, A5 wagyu ponzu, and bluefin chutoro on offer. This place was the real deal. Our group shared the tebasaki wings-- so crispy and so flavorful, I could have inhaled a whole plate of these. The salmon, ikura, and apple appetizer that was served in a glass chalice was superb but even better was the bluefin tuna avocado sashimi with wasabi. That one was a winner across the board. And then my uni mazemen, which really stole the show. There was a very generous portion of uni that mixed with the savory sauce and al dente ramen noodles perfectly. This dish was rich, unctuous, and fresh and definitely delivered in value, though it was double the price of most other noodle bowls. Uni is a delicacy. Having just returned from a second trip to Japan I can say this place is really as good as any restaurant I visited in Japan, and it's right here in Murray Hill. These Murray Hill bros are lucky.
