This is part of the Anthony's chain, and like most Anthony's, the food is solid, the service is good, and the views are great. This one overlooks the fishing docks and marina. Rob, did an excellent job, especially when we let him know that we had dietary restrictions. We both got the grilled Alaskan silver salmon, even though the Copper River salmon was hyped. This is an excellent fish, for less money than the Copper River. It's cooked through more than we like, but it's about usual for most restaurants. The deep-fried fish and shellfish, looked really good, and I would guess that they do a really good job with these. I just try to avoid deep-fried food. It's rough. read more

Flavorful, plentiful Manhattan Clam Chowder with chewy clams, potatoes, carrots, onions, and spices. The Shrimp Louie was also filling with avocado, asparagus, egg, plenty of bay shrimp, cucumbers, and tomatoes. Very good service and gorgeous views overlooking South Lake Union. Great spot for a late lunch or early dinner, hitting after the brunch craziness. The food was good and fresh. Chinooks is great. I really love everything I've ordered here, with the exception of salads, it's not really their specialty. Their tacos are tasty and happy hour is great at Chinooks. I have been going to Chinook's for many years, ever since it opened. I always held it in very high regard. So much so, that we took some friends visiting from out of town there today for breakfast. In fairness - I have never had breakfast at Chinook's before, just lunch and dinner. We were very disappointed in the quality of the food this morning, and the overall lackluster efforts the chef had (not) put into it. Bland and flavorless. Obviously not made with love. Worst faux pas? My scrambled eggs were not cooked to order, but were obviously mixed from powder and cooked in large batches then kept hot in a chafing dish. The kind that used to say on the outside of the box, "Guaranteed not to turn green." That sort of thing may be standard for a Holiday Inn free breakfast buffet, but not is not what you expect to receive, or pay for at a high end table service restaurant like Chinook's, or really any restaurant of the Anthony's chain. I've gone here probably 10 times. I usually get the seafood marinara, which is pretty good. Last time I got the crab and shrimp fettucine, which was mostly good, except for the shrimp. They were so tiny and clearly frozen and mushy and pretty gross. There were like a million of them in the dish. A $30 pasta dish with shrimp should have better shrimp than this. I would give 2 stars for that dish. read more

Not familiar with the area, it took a couple of minutes to loop around to find Chinook's. It was set on the water and had a lovely view of a small harbor at sunset. The setting was warehouse style and the noise level was a little loud; but not a deal breaker. My delicious dinner included shrimp scampi , red potatoes and green beans; it was so good and so was the bread! It was summertime, so Oliver, my friendly & super cool waiter with an award winning smile encouraged coffee and dessert. We figured since the food was so good, a fresh fruit dessert (peach mug sundae & blackberry cobbler) was a winning idea. It was so good (grubbing to the max)! Then Oliver helped direct me to a landmark for city views of the space needle. Thanks Oliver & Chinook's for a lovely tourist experience. I will be sending people your way. read more

To anyone reading these reviews!!! The review given by A.C. is ridicules. I eat at Chinooks all the time and I recently had both dishes that were bashed. The picture of the shortcake is so deceptive because the person ate the ENTIRE large delicious biscuit placed on top and most of the dish before taking the photo! Totally destroying the way it really looks I just had this shortcake two nights ago and yes it looked like that.... after I ate most of it!!!! And as far as the grey tuna goes, the staff at Chinooks are amazing, they would not send out grey tuna. Period. Another deceptive photo. That salad is the best! I get it every summer, multiple times! Why people do this is beyond me. Chinooks is amazing. The food is great, the staff is great. If you come into town and you want great seafood in a casual, fun, waterfront atmosphere, go here! While I love to walk around Fisherman's Terminal, I have to say I was underwhelmed with Chinook's. There was a long wait and lots of families on a Saturday night, so I figured it was a great place. Aside from the bread basket and the huckleberry lemonade (which really were delicious), I was not a fan of the food. The fish and chips are decent, but not for the price. The cioppino soup did not have great flavor. I'm used to Seattle prices, which are pretty inflated, but I wouldn't say anything our table ordered was worth the price. The atmosphere was also quite loud. We had a group of six and I could not hold conversations across the table. But the view of the boatyard through the large windows is nice. read more

My third time eating here......and no third time was not the charm.. more like 3 strikes and you're out! We celebrated Mother's Day early....on Saturday....beautiful day.....the view spectacular...sitting on the patio. Then came a table of 4 women sitting right behind us....the foul language spoken loudly over and over again was DISGUSTING!!!! My grandson was accompanying us...he repeated the main cause of the argument..."don't kill my baby" was continuously repeated... apparently one of the gals was pregnant. Trust me we were not the only ones hearing this fight....the whole patio heard and nothing was done to stop this conduct! I will never go back...the food mediocre to say the best! read more

Delicious food, the breakfast is amazing. They give you free orange cranberry scones which are to DIE for. This is not the place to go if you're on a diet, the food is very rich and decadent. I have dined here for breakfast and dinner and have no complaints! Delicious! read more

We went there on a little jaunt to Seattle & to Fisherman's Terminal last week and found this place. They were not serving halibut fish & chips anymore due to the cost of halibut, but their cod fish & chips were good. My wife had the salmon tacos with salmon chowder & she said they were both very good as well. read more

This is the hidden gem of Seattle. It is just far enough away from Seattle touristy areas for great dining and views of the water. I had the salmon cooked on a alder plank with veggies and a Hale's Kolsch beer. I will come back when I am in town. read more

Very disappointing! Knowing this was an Anthony's restaurant, we were excited to spend an evening celebrating a friends gma's b-day however this noisy atmosphere is not condusive to conversation! Not only is the noise repelling but there are no shades on the windows and we spent our first 20 mins there blinded until the sun went down behind the trees. Now onto the food, let's just say I spent the next day trying to get the taste out of my mouth. It seems they think by smothering not so fresh seafood in butter makes it taste better. Not the case, the fishiness still comes through and the supposed red pepper buerre blanc had a lovely moldy after-taste. The only plus was the green beans were crisp and fresh. My husband ordered the Halibut Cakes that he said were good but they were also smothered in butter. The others at our party seemed to enjoy the Tuna, although from what I could see it wasn't seared rare like I prefer. In addition the potatoes served were like home fries for breakfast however they were semi raw in the middle. We made the mistake of ordering desert, Burnt Cream, the crust was not even burnt! Instead it had a crumbly sugar coating that tasted stale. Lastly, I opted to join G-ma for a Martini, Grey Goose straight up. It arrived warm, in a small glass and had too much Vermouth so for almost $10 it was a huge let down. Maybe if the drink was better I wouldn't be writing this now as I would have been dillusioned to think things were better than they were! Thank God we had excellent company to make the most of this place! I'm glad I now know to avoid this place in the future as we are lucky to have some of the best fresh Seafood restaurants in this city with much better atmosphere and prices. This is a place with great seafood and service. The scallops we had as an appetizer were devoured, as was the bread they provided. And the view of the marina - beautiful! Great scenery for a nice dinner. However, when we received our meals, the potatoes seemed undercooked and soggy, and one of the meals was served with potatoes when he asked for french fries. A very mediocre seafood restaurant with a good view. Took my friend from out of town here. We split a clam and mussel appetizer. He had salmon and I had the blue plate special (ling cod) which came with clam chowder. I did the clam chowder new jersey style (half New England and half NY) and thought it was alright. Both of our entrees came with the same sides (potatoes and string beans) so it was a little boring. The seafood was fresh but really wasn't anything spectacular. Excellent!! These folks know how to throw down. Where to begin? We had a terrible time deciding. Everything looked so good. So we decided on the dungeness crab cakes and clam chowder to start. The crab cakes are 100% crab and literally melt in your mouth. The chowder was thick, creamy with lots of clams ans flavor. For dinner we had fresh grilled wild salmon and fresh wild alder smoked halibut with a burre blanc and garlic sauce. For years I thought I hated halibut. Now I know those before didn't know what they were doing. Also had a margarita with fresh blueberries and raspberries...and they didn't skimp on the alcohol. The best seafood place in Seattle. I also love 6 7 restaurant at edge water. It's a bit pricey. Most affordable seafood is at chinooks!!! Love love love it. Causal, laid back, coastal, nautical and buzzing with chatter and life cozy diner. Food is decent, but priced on the higher end. I'm guessing the real estate is driving the prices. I had crab and shrimp scramble with seasonal mushrooms and some bechamel like sauce which was pretty good. Boyfriend had Seattle scramble aka salmon, cream cheese, dill scramble and that was also delicious. We had two adult drinks each and totaled at $72, which is rather high for brunch. After finally having an opportunity to visit Chinooks again following my unfortunate experience this past summer, I was able to return as a guest of the management so they could have a chance to show me that my earlier experience was an anomaly. I am happy to report that not only did Chinook's step up to the plate with regard to addressing their shortcomings, but upon my return, they absolutely nailed it by providing great food and excellent customer service! We went to Chinooks on a busy graduation weekend for dinner. The wait for a window table for 6 people at 7:30pm was only about 30 minutes. The food was amazing...literally the best salmon I've ever had! The atmosphere was fun and casual. The restaurant is in a little strip mall, but don't let that fool you! The restaurant overlooks a marina and the view is incredible! We'll definitely go back the next time we're in Seattle! read more

Wonderful, spacious waterfront dining! Classy, professional servers who treat you like a king. Seafood to die for, and a delicious brunch, but the BEST thing about the place is their pre-meal garlic bread! I'd go there just for that if i were you. Also they will pack up anything and everything togo. Not just after your meal, but you can call in and have them pack it up so you can take it to a picnic or party. Chinook's is close and has pretty tasty food. We never wait for a table, but the resturant is quite loud. It's a place I'd consider taking a family for a reasonable meal, but not a date (mostly for the noise factor).
