Chipotle is the best cheap & quick Tex-Mex in the area. Not that there are many other options (of course, I'm excluding Taco Hell from the discussion..), but it's far better than Moe's in South Windsor. Parking is usually a non-issue. Quick and friendly service. It amazes me that people are shocked that guacamole is extra--c'mon people, it's extra everywhere (avocados arent cheap). I'm a huge chipotle fan since I discovered it in DC years back. They have the best guac I've ever had. This one I've noticed gives much smaller portions for the burrito but it's probably for the best and I still love it. Parking is usually scarce. read more

This Chipotle is my favorite location hands down. I live in Hartford and make the trip to Glastonbury because the food is always fresh, the customer service is good, and the place is clean. They're pretty generous with their portion size too! Other locations that I've been to tend to be a little stingy in IMHO. Mind you I don't expect the bowl to be filled to the point where it's spilling over the top but, I don't want to be hungry in an hour either! I've never been disappointed at this one! read more

We eat here at least 3 times per month bc we LOVE the chicken ! We always get rice bowls; hub tried the beef but it was dry and chewy, so we all stick to the the delicious chicken. I wish they'd cook the rice a little more but it's still so good. We all get brown rice, chicken, black beans; I get the guacamole always bc it's fresh and has the right amount of heat from onion. Hub and kiddo add sour cream but I think it's far too fatty-/ almost butter like. The mild salsa is fresh and yum; hub likes the spicy sauce. Kiddo LOVES the nacho chips and I eat the guacamole. Wish the guacamole & chips were cheaper though. Always very good service, and if you ask for extra rice and beans, there's no extra charge! Best "fast food" there is. read more

Clean restaurant but no real direction of how to order and pay first. Food was just ok in my opinion and a bit pricey for the amount of food provided. Only went off a friends suggestion. The food handler was fine & fast but the cashier was 'nicety'- superficially nice and politely nasty. She asked the perfunctory "drink with that?" questions and kinda tossed my bag at me. I looked at the tip cup and put my change away. What happened to the free chips and the salsa/sauce condiments bar? You have to declare your sauce type at the time of your order or else you're outta luck! C'mon, it's an $8 burrito! Well, you know the saying, "Gotta go to Moe's" The Glastonbury Chipotle should take notes from the Berlin Turnpike location. They are friendly & have efficient service. Indeed, I've visited much better locations than this one. I like the food quite a bit. Their chicken is tasty, their beans are great, and their salsa is delicious. However, the service is awful! You have to practically shout to get the workers to understand you and sometimes you have to repeat yourself. They tend to skimp on the portions. And lately I've had the annoying task of having to heat the food on my own. Poor luck to people who eat right then and there, because I'd hate to bite into a cold chicken taco. Ah, another closer location needs to open up fast so I can satisfy my Chipotle cravings. Coming to this one is simply not worth it in the end. Oh, and I second Penelope's recommendation of Boca Grande if you're in the Boston area. Not as health-driven as Chipotle, but the food is so wickedly delightful. I was addicted to Moe's for a long time until this place opened. Then, this became my go-to lunch spot. The ingredients were fresher, and you could see almost everything prepared fresh right in front of you. The food also tasted much less salty. Moe's has made strides since Chipotle opened to be better about fresh, local ingredients, but is still in 2nd place in my book. The one knock on this place is that the parking lot is atrocious, but they're just renting space in a large mini-mall, so it's not their fault. But the food is as good as you're going to get anywhere for the price. read more

Hi I am a good lover of chipotle bowl. But this particular Glastonbury chipotle restaurant is very bad in maintaining the food quality. If taste is not as expected I would not have given the least rating. I was given expired guacamole with veggie bowl and I took additional cup of guacamole for by little baby. The guacamole is bitter and smells bad. Without noticing I fed to my daughter. She got vomitted after 10 min. When I reported they just said that it might have expired. I really didn't like the freshness of food in this particular branch. read more

Extra star for great customer service. I asked about the guacamole and chips and wanted to know if it was extra because chips and salsa is free at Moe's. he manager Queen overheard me and she said give her a free guac and chips. Wow! I got the chicken burrito. They don't offer whole wheat wraps like Moe's does so that was disappointing. The onions and peppers are not as caramelized as Moe's either. I guess I compared the whole experience to Moe's because it basically the same menu. I would definitely go back and get my burrito with no peppers and onions and no lettuce. I absolutely LOVE chipotle... But the two times I've been to this location has been disappointing... I love Chipotle so much I have the app on my phone, I order it ahead of time so I don't have to wait. Usually I'm coming home from work and I order it before I leave so I can go pick it up and come home. The first time I got there and it wasn't ready. This time I ordered ahead I got there it was ready took it home. The bowl is half full and my fajita vegetables aren't cooked. There's tiny drop of guacamole. Chipotle has GREAT food. I have been through their entire menu and haven't had a bad experience yet. First time I tried them was down in FL and then when they opened up here in Glastonbury I have been several more times and still enjoy their food. The portions are good and best of all.... Fast, cheap, and easy way to get lunch (or dinner). I normally get a bowl to go. Their guacamole is pretty good. Depends on the time you go but parking can be an issue since its location is surrounded with other shops. There's extra parking on each side of the circle. There's also a Starbucks across Chipotle. I go to this Chipolte three or four times a week. It is, by far, the best quick-service restaurant in the area. Despite being on location for years, they have kept the restaurant so clean it looks like it was just built last week. The food is always perfect, no dry meat or overcooked/undercooked rice. The portions are generous, the employees are always in a good mood, and even when there is a long line everything moves quickly. I highly recommend that if you want Chipotle and you are anywhere in Hartford County, you go out of your way to eat at this location. read more

Lately, the last couple of Monday nights I been coming in here and I have to say I've enjoyed the atmosphere. Nonetheless, this past Monday night I came in a little after 9 and noticed the food looked quite appetizing. Usually, on other nights around this time certain items may not be available or don't look any where near as fresh. I'm not sure if theres a new cook or new rules but I noticed the chicken sizes are much smaller (in a good way) much more paletteable and the white rice was super flavorful. This is literally the only place for Mexican in Glastonbury that I would eat considering it's a chain. I'm a addict when it comes to the barbacoa tacos. I respect the sustainability factor along with no antibiotic meats. Best place for lunch, love the salads, but be careful the nutritional factor vs serving size, which is 4oz for meats, A salad, dressing with chips can run you over 2000 calories. The decor is contemporary a lot of wood paneling and metal. For a chain it's not bad if in a hurry. read more

The food here is ok if you have them heat the burrito on the hot press but you have to ask the staff to do this and they seem annoyed that i had requested my food heated otherwise the burrito is cold and nasty but it is severely over priced for what it is for two people to eat here ordering 2 burritos and 2 drinks cost about $25 its a total ripoff. if you have the time i would recommend a sit down restaurant over this place you may even save money. The only thing chipolte is good for is a quick lunch that is more healthy than a typical fast food place. I give chipolte as a restaurant 2 stars but i gave the glastonbury branch 1 star because of there horrible staff they do their jobs for the most part but most of them are not even the least bit friendly to customers and have no communication skills what so ever they are dismissive and rude i have no idea who the manger is at this place but they need to consider overhauling their operation if they want to stay in business. If you visit this chipolte expect mcdonalds level service at sit down restaurant prices. if you are in the mood for mexican food go to azteca or on the border resturants you will pay just about the same price and get larger portioned better tasting food and much better service than at chipotle.wherever you choose to eat in this area i would highly recommend avoiding this chipotle. read more

Chipotle is my favorite fast food joint. The food here is relatively healthy(still loaded with salt and fat and such but at least the meat is real meat and the veggies are nice and fresh) and good. I always get the burrito bowl with brown rice(yes they have brown rice here), black beans, carnitas, corn and guac and it's always made well here. The staff seems nice enough but it's hit or miss as to how much food you get, some guys pile it on while others are pretty skimpy about it. Food quality is about the same as the West Hartford location but the parking situation is a lot better so I generally come this way when I have a chipotle craving. There's also a Moe's in town a few miles away but for me it's an easy choice to come here. Chipotle has far better rice, meat and guac which is what I come here for - sure Moe's has a lot more topping choices but the main ingredients fall short in my mind. This isn't fine dining but $8 for a delicious bowl of food is something I can get behind. read more

everytime I come here I get a bowl, they never give enough of anything . Manchester chipotle atleast fills it to the rim of the bowl.youre better off getting the burrito because it seems like they put a lot of filling since it always breaks on me and they have to wrap it with two tortilla . interior wise of the restraunt is pretty good. but they need to realize we pay $7+ for food and should get our money's worth. there's always flaws with this one in particular like One time there was no lettuce for atleast 5 days,ridiculous . and the sour cream is sometimes watery at a certain time in the day.do yourself a favor and go down Glastonbury main at Taco Bell and get a cantina bowl $5 and you'll get more . read more
