What a great location on the main strip of Hartville. This restaurant is surrounded by other…read morerestaurants: sit down and fast food as well as gas stations. The location is an easy option if you are looking to do multiple things in the area. Mi Casa is enriched in community advertising: on the screens, their tables, and their glasses. It is unique to see a restaurant showcase their community the way Mi Casa does. The staff were helping one another out and were thorough. Whether pick ups or sit down there seemed to be a steady flow of customers. The menu did have a section of combination meals as well as an ala carte section. The salsa was served in little saucers and definitely had a bite to it. The combination 26- Chile Poblano, taco, rice & beans were a delicious and unique choice. This is the first time I've seen chile poblano on a menu and it did not disappoint. The large cheese dip was decently hot and had a little bit of a kick to it compared to other Mexican restaurants. The reason for 4 instead of 5 stars was due to the blandness of the rice & beans including the plating of the cheese enchilada.

When traveling for work from Toronto, I usually take the opportunity to have my bosses pay for me…read moreto enjoy new and interesting foods. This time I was inspired to look for a Mexican ceviche. In my most recent adventure, I visited Taqueria La Loma in Akron and very much enjoyed my meal. After ordering from the counter, I sat down and was quickly given some fresh chips and salsa to snack on. Although these were delicious, I probably should have passed on this because what I ordered was much more that I could eat alone. I was impressed by the flavor and value of the Mixed (shrimp and octopus) Ceviche, and would absolutely suggest it to anyone. I'd never had octopus ceviche before, and was concerned about chewiness, but was pleasantly surprised at how tender it was. I assume the shrimp ceviche is similarly good. I also ordered 3 birria tacos. I found there was maybe slightly too much cheese in the taco, but the tasty consomé dip was impressive. To wash it all down, I had one of the best horchata drinks I've ever had in my life. It was sooo good and a must-have. The staff was attentive and helpful, and the food came out quickly. The restaurant was basic, but clean, and looks like the kind of authentic place you'd want to go for a casual but tasty Mexican food meal. I will be recommending this place to my co-workers in the Akron office, and will go back again next time I'm in town.

One of the best parts of a chimichanga is the deep fried exterior and crunch. Here they smother the chimichanga in cheese so there was no crunch to it. I know places like this are very popular so I gave it three stars but if you want authentic food look else where.

We discovered Amigos a couple years ago, when seating was very limited, but they recently expanded and the decor is more inviting and authentic. We've tried a lot of things on this menu and have never been disappointed. Our food has always been fresh and plentiful, served with a smile. Two things I can ecstatically recommend: their house guacamole and their margaritas. Their hearty and bold guacamole is made fresh to order right at your table and it's become our favorite guacamole. We love their mango margaritas. We have found chunks of mango in ours, and make certain to always get the rims coated with tajin because they use tamarind to get the spice to stick to the rim--so tasty! This is a really enjoyable restaurant we always look forward to visiting!

The chicken tacito appetizer was just okay, but they will make fresh made guac at your table while you watch. That quac was superb. We made it disappear quickly with nachos. The barria tacos were excellent and the sauce they make for them is delectable. The cole slaw was different and delicious. Wasn't expecting that. The torta was superb. Great food, great service. We'll be back!

The first menu had splashes of food inside, so we traded it out for a different menu - same thing. Eventually we realized that the worker behind the desk was supposed to be cleaning the menus (we took the menus from the clean pile), but she was distracted on her phone instead. The staff seated us fairly quickly - within the allotted wait time. We had plans afterwards, so we placed our order as soon as the waitress came to the table. Our chips and salsa were delicious and were refilled while we waited...and waited...and waited. It was easily over an hour before our food came out. The chicken fajitas were good - nice size portion. They came with a side of rice, sour cream and shredded cheese. They were lacking pico de gallo and shredded lettuce toppings which are pretty standard. Refried beans and/or black beans are usually also served at other Mexican restaurants but were missing here. My husband ordered a chicken dish. He said the taste was fine - not something he would re-order though. Overall Good chips and salsa Fajitas were tasty Restaurant floor was exceptionally sticky Menus were kinda gross Wait time on food was exceptionally long (the restaurant was busy but not every table was filled - which was strange since there was a wait list, but maybe they didn't have the staff available.) With other Mexican restaurant choices available locally, this isn't a restaurant we would revisit.

The ambiance was a little bit loud as we were seated next to a larger family who had alot of kids but we both didnt mind much and just tuned them out. It was quite busy, but we were seated in five to ten minutes and presented with a heaping bowl of chips and salsa. The margaritas are gigantic, yet pretty weak. I would NOT recommend getting the large, as they start to get way too sweet and they also start to melt. And unless you are super-human and love sugar, you aren't finishing it before you get out of there. To be fair, Oakwood Square is a "DORA" district, so they offer to put your drink in a to-go cup and send you on your way. Food is standard Mexican fare. Good, but to be honest, everything tastes kind of the same, with minor variations. I still am not sure of the difference between the enchilada, chimichanga, soft taco, burrito, etc. Dump some rice & refried beans on the place, mix it all together and it is basically the same thing. Friendly and speedy service is the highlight of this joint. I don't always love Mexican food, so I likely won't return again anytime soon, but it was a solid supper.
