My fiancé and I decided to eat here at chipotle. The gentleman putting my burrito bowl together did a horrible job! I asked what the difference was between the steak and the carne asada and his answer $1.25. Thanks for the info. So I decided to give it a try and the 6 small pieces I got were garbage!! It had fat and cartilage all over it. The other gentleman had no idea how hot the hot sauce was, so I asked for just a small amount, he ends up drenching everything! To make matters worse the restaurant looked like a landfill with garbage everywhere!! Trash was overflowing the trash bins, trash on the ground and the customers had to buss their own table!!! On top of that it was so loud with the kitchen crew yelling, screaming and laughing extremely loudly! This was the worst experience ever!! This Chipotle has got to be the WORST!!! All the negative, one star reviews pretty much sums up the experience at this particular location. First, they don't know the meaning of "extra". The food tasted cold and they always forget to put in my sides. That kitchen is always overcrowded and employees not wearing mask preparing food. The place is way overcrowded. And you now need a code to get into the restroom to wash your hands before eating. This place needs new management. Second, it clearly stated on the door that they're open at 10:30am. 8 of us customers standing outside waiting until 10:45am when one of their employee has to get inside, so they had no choice but to open the door to let us in. Two of the customers started an argument outside because due to the new trolley line, attracted a bunch of homeless ppl. I've been to many locations of chipotles from the IE to San Diego, and let me tell you, this Chipotle was disappointing. Not just because of price, but for the small portions, and limited options available. I came in at around 8pm and while in the midst of waiting in line, they announce that they are out of lettuce and cheese. I would understand if they closed early, or near the time I came, but they didn't close for another three hours at 11pm. Not only that, but when I asked for a certain item, they didn't seem to be paying attention because they would continue to move on, as if I didn't ask for Pico de Gallo three times, and they still didn't give me any. read more

Honestly, I got the smallest portion of chicken bowl that I've ever seen. There was barely a spoon worth of rice and chicken with tiniest amount of lettuce and the rest of ingredients. Pretty standard Chipotle. Stopped in for a new plant based chorizo bowl before our movie last night. Plenty of parking on a Tue evening at 7:30pm. There were a few tables outside. When we walked in, there was just 1 group of 4 sitting down and 1 person ordering take-out in front of us. We both got our plant based chorizo bowls topped with all the goodies and sat down to eat. The flavor was great but I would probably ask for steak as well to give it a bit more texture. The smoked chipotle Tabasco is always a move. Cheese and sour cream on the side of course. I've been eating Chipotle for a long time in different locations across the US, with mixed experiences. The burritos I got from this location on 12/4 around 4:20 pm were some of the best Chipotle I've had in YEARS. Both the steak and chicken were seasoned beautifully and tender while providing a satisfying chew. The fajita vegetables were fresh and had a hint of sweetness combined with that fire-grilled taste. The burritos were also wrapped perfectly, such that the ingredients were well mixed throughout and didn't spill out of the seams. Definitely coming back to this location! read more

I love the portions of this Chipotle! I got the plant based chorizo - this was my first time seeing it - and it didn't disappoint. Add some Smokey chipotle Tabasco and you're set! I got the burrito bowl and 3 small tortillas on the side. The tortillas are great to make tacos with the overflowing bowl they serve you. I came in today about 11am, to get a bowl with my gift card and I don't go to chipotle that much so I'm not familiar with the prices. I wanted to get double chicken and the chicken wasn't even doubled. Second, in the cashier I was considering tortilla on the side for later but I wanted to hear the price first and I had enough to get that tortilla so I said "Can I please have tortilla on the side?" The cashier rolled his eyes and sighed in a way so I could tell he was frustrated at me. I let that slide, but once he was done getting the tortilla he threw on the table like he was throwing at me. As someone who works in the food service, I understand why he was frustrated at me. It was busy and I didn't tell him right away. But to roll your eyes, sigh, and disrespectfully throw the tortilla on the table at a customer is just plain rude. It took less than a minute to get that tortilla. read more

Workers are very rude and don't even acknowledge you when you ask them for a side of something. They just leave it behind the register and expect you to reach over and grab it. The least they could do is acknowledge you and hand it as a sign of respect. After calling out the worker (Lolita) for her rudeness she pointed at us and told us to get out. I tried to manager but he was high and didn't even understand what I was saying. This is me up at 3:30am having just thrown up my entire meal of barbecoa I had eaten around 6:30pm at this location yesterday. The guy scooped from the very liquidy side of the barbecoa which gave me very little meat so I asked for a bit more. He again gave me a tiny liquid serving from one side when there was a while pile of chunks of barbecoa on the other. I asked him to please give me a bit of the meat from the other side which he did, but sparingly. The next guy threw on a too generous helping of hot salsa and added some guacamole and lettuce. When I was eating each morel was over drenched with hot salsa and the meat was salty beyond belief. I've had diarrhea since about 30 minutes after eating this nasty concoction and apparently my stomach refused to pass it on since I just threw it all back up 9 hours later. I imagine the culprit was either the liquidy barbecoa or the dryer meat that I asked for a serving of. I've heard of problems they've had with e-coli contamination. I believe I got a good dose today. Hopefully my digestion will get back on track now that my body expelled my "meal". I've been a fan of Chipotle ever since they first opened their doors. I will never eat another morsel from any Chipotle after this experience. read more

It' resembles a Greyhound Bus Station with homeless sitting in booths with shopping carts filled with junk and the tables/booths that are open are filthy. I have to say, I support local food establishments more than chains in a heart beat. but dude...there is just something about chipotle. it really makes me happy. the whole concept of fresh food served quickly is so effective IMO, and puts a new and better spin on the fast food industry. I come here every once in a while on lunch breaks since it's down the hill from me. Word of advice...go at 11:30 and it's a world of difference from noon. This is the order of events every single time: I walk in, order immediately (or 30 seconds later) pay around $7 sit down and look at the huge burrito wondering how the hell to approach it ...almost feel embarrassed for eating the entire thing in one sitting and not even being overly full. well damn, now I HAVE to go running after work. leave to see a line all the way to the door, and think 'ha, glad that wasn't me' -- I'll bet you most of the negative comments about the place is that its too crowded. Well come at peak time and yeah that will be the case. It's fast, cheap, delicious, and near UCSD. Much like most food places I'm enamored with, they keep the food simple. I think that is why they are successful both in food and efficiency. I mean, I've never seen anyone sit there going "ummmm what should i have?' Dude, burrito, burrito bowl, or tacos with your meat of choice. That's it! It's great. For indecisive people like myself it's a haven to make us look less indecisive! I went in to this location with my family tonight and when we started our order the girl taking our order, (named Lola) didn't inform us that they were out of cheese when we started our order. Cheese is my daughter's favorite topping on her bowl so she was dissapointed and when she asked Lola if they had any cheese in the back she rudely replied "NO it doesn't work like that" to my 6 year old. Then I said do u think maybe she could just get a small cup of cheese from the back and she told us she wasn't giving us any cheese even tho she admitted that there was some in the back. Meh. Super disappointed. This chipotle is almost always busy, but because of the E. coli outbreak, there was almost no line (which never happens since this is the closest Chipotle to UCSD). I came because of a free bowl, and got a half chicken, half steak salad. All Chipotles have the same options: tortilla, meat (Barbacoa, chicken, steak, Sofritas), beans (pinto or black), fajitas, salsa (pico, spicy, verde), sour cream, cheese, corn, and Guac. Idk if it's because of how little people there was, but the workers were much more generous than usual today, which I was happy about (+1 star). I got home and was SO disappointed when half of the meats I ate were so stringy and hard to eat that I had to spit it out. I stopped eating the entire order after only eating 1/4 of it, if even that. What happened to the meat here?!? I'll be going to the Chipotle down a couple blocks in the Costa Verde center instead. read more

This place is me and my gfs go to for chipotle! They always have our order ready to go when we door dash, maybe, because they seem to have a lot of door dash orders and it's by the college.
