Pros: -line moved fast, despite "traffic hours". -good amount of each topping/item to create that perfect burrito or bowl. -clean environment! Water is free for all, and it is a very spacious location despite how small it looks from the outside. -window seating/outdoor seating available. Yay for more options! -food is piping hot. Throughout my four years at UCSD, I never had a bad experience with these guys! Chipotle in itself is one of the world's greatest creations, so giving this establishment any less than four stars is offensive to all things in existence. The line moves quicker here than any of the 5-7 other locations I've ever been to. The parking lot is really odd and crammed, but not much of an issue if you know how to drive and park right. In addition, I've always received generous portions from here relative to other Chipotle locations + the people there are awesome! I worked with these guys quite a bit when I had to order loads of burritos for school events. They were extremely flexible and always a pleasure to work with. read more

Chipotle is awesome, period. The flavors are always classically delicious and good portion size for the price! I feel that this chipotle is more flavorful than the ones at home: I barely needed to use my favorite green Tabasco sauce (that's pretty awesome if the food could stand on it's own.) This is my second day in a row of having some Chipotle for lunch, but this experience was definitely not as good as the one in Mira Mesa. For starters, I could barely understand the woman behind the counter because her accent was so thick and her voice was so small. It took several tries and a hold up in the line to finally get across the line, but finally managed to get there. I went with the chicken tacos this time with the black beans, fresh tomato and corn salsas, sour cream, cheese, and lettuce. The beans were extremely wet and made it very messy to eat the tacos without spilling all over the place. Likewise, the tacos were carelessly slopped together and I was forced to finish the lot with a fork. I was definitely unable to differentiate the flavors like I could at the Mira Mesa location and the ingredients didn't seem as fresh. I'm not sure if it was the food quality, service, or location, but this Chipotle was definitely not as pleasant to eat at. Despite being fairly slow, many of the tables were left dirty and nobody seemed to care to wipe them down as they did at the other location. I've never experienced a I believe manager be so rude to their stuff and also the costumers! They had just a little bit of chicken left and my friend saw them cutting the fresh chicken in the back so he wanted to wait to get some fresh chicken,the manager(short with glasses) was so rude and inpatient she ended up putting him the chicken that was sitting there for hours even tho he was willing to wait for the fresh one,she was saying OMG all frustrated and all when we were being so respectful saying please and thank you just showing her how mature people act. I watched as another customer walked in and stood there for about 8 min without getting served (but at least she didn't get yelled at). Everyone knows Chipotle and it's my most frequented fast food restaurant because I [used to] go once or twice every month, but I have a really conflicting relationship with them at the moment because they didn't give me my points lmao. For long time, I would've given the location a 4 stars, but because of some experiences, it's a 3. Parking: Hectic lot but usually can find a parking spot. Pro tips: ~ It definitely seems like you get more in your bowl when ordering in person than on the app. ~ This location can get busy so if you order for pickup, don't expect it to be on time. I've waited 15-20mins before. A lot of times, you have to wait for the cashier to be free so you can ask for your pickup order. ~ For more veggies, get the salad without the dressing. It's practically the same as a bowl ~ On the app, cash in your points for a free entree/etc sooner than later because they increase the points price every now and again. I've had really great and smooth sailing experiences with them, but I've also had experiences where: - I ordered 2 barbacoa bowls without beans or fajitas. One of them was a chicken bowl with guac, beans, and fajitas? - Piece of thing in my food - Customer service on the app sucks tbh, and I don't even complain about half of these issues. - At a different location, I specifically went to get points: brought a friend, used a birthday reward, and the points never got counted even after contacting them twice. This wasn't the restaurant's fault, but I was pretty disappointed. I haven't been since. As for the food, there's always a kick of spice to it, which I personally really like. I used to eat chipotle often but now it's rare. The rice is never all the way cooked and crunchy. I make better rice at home. The price goes up but the portions stay the same or get less and less. Okay I don't usually leave any reviews (let alone bad ones) but I kind of have to. I ordered a veggie burrito and a drink online for pick up. I go in and the store is kinda dirty but no big deal. I pick up my order and open the bag to grab my cup and it's messy but again, no big deal. I grab my drink and head home. Fast forward and I'm eating my burrito right? A few bites in I notice a weird texture and i look and it's literally steak. Not like a ton but at least a few cubes of it. Just be careful if you're ordering a meatless option I guess. read more

Went to Chipotle on La Jolla Village drive. Needs new managment or a supervisor. We counted at least 8 employees, practically falling over each other by the door that goes to the back area. Only three people were working in the cooking/ food area, placing our order was fine. The place was almost empty , less guests than employees , yet not a single empty table had been cleaned off! My first time experiencing Chipotle in San Diego and it wasnt a great experience. First off, the customer service is TERRIBLE! Not only do the employees look like they hate working here but they act like it as well. My friend asked for a little extra rice and the worker gave her a disgusted look then started slamming things as if it was an impossible request? Also, their meat is cut in such huge pieces! It was hard to eat because we kept getting mouth fulls of meat and my friend got some fatty excess in her bowl. Our experience was so very poor. We ordered online to expedite the experience since we were ordering for hungry kids. We were surprised to drive all the way to the restaurant to see there was no line and no one had started our order. Once they started our order they burnt one of the kids quesadillas so had to start over. The second attempted quesadilla was dropped on the ground. The employee picked it up off of the floor and without washing his hands started the third attempt at our quesadilla as well as someone else's order. Not sanitary at all. Thankfully another employee called him out and told him to go wash his hands but it was a little late. Once our order was finally ready we had been waiting for 20 minutes and during this time the restaurant only had two customers. I noticed before leaving they gave us the wrong drink orders...so we fixed that. BUT the worst part was we FINALLY made it home and the orders were wrong!! Dirty, incredibly slow service, the staff looks miserable, the vending machine is down the whole time, they close earlier than their scheduled time, see even on yelp it says 10pm but they close as early as 9pm with no notice and they are always late to open in the morning. Their tables and bathrooms are never cleaned during the day. There are 6-7 people in the back and only one serving food in front with 20 people in line. Shame! I've been to this location twice and they do a good job of getting people in and out with their line of workers behind the counter. I love getting their barbacoa it's always juicy and tasty with all the ingredients and seasoning in it with my pick of two flour tortillas and for my two sides I opt for pinto beans and fajita veggies. I tend to get the "*Build Your Own* kids meal" as it is just the right portion for how much I eat and I also like to request some sour cream and lettuce for extra fillers. When I came by yesterday the girl was giving me a hard time about the sour cream and lettuce because she said I can only get "two sides" which I already had. She said she can do a one time exception for me, which I've never been told like that before and they normally give me my sour cream and lettuce no hassle. First of all its toppings not sides, and second she can charge me if she wants to be like that, but don't deny me of my sour cream and lettuce please lol like it's the last time I can get it?.. I came in on a Monday around 6:30 ish and it was surprisingly busy. Chipotle's pretty standard all across the land so I'll keep my review short. There were just two things that stood out to me as a little inconvenient. 1. They were out of lettuce! That's such a strange thing to be out of. 2. They had over toasted my friend's tortilla and when we got home, it was very crispy, like it cracked if you tried to bend it. Pros! 1. The staff was so sweet.
