Yesterday, turned out to be an order for delivery type of day! As I thought about what I was in the mood for, a Chipotle commercial flashed on my tablet's screen. Okay, Chipotle (Lake City) takeout it is. Since I'm in a watch my carbs state of mind, I chose a bowl over a burrito. Specifically, I went for the veggie bowl with brown rice, black beans, lettuce, fajita veggies, and all of the available salsas (love the tomatillo red chilli). They didn't skimp on the ingredients. The lettuce was crisp, the fajita veggies just right, and black beans were heavenly. I, of course, added chips with mild salsa to round out the order. I may like extra hot salsa on my bowl ingredients but not on my chips! The order arrived faster than the advertised expected time of arrival. Kudos to the staff and delivery driver for getting it to me ASAP. I thoroughly enjoyed eating my veggie bowl with chips and a couple glasses of wine as I sat on my deck (ambiance) watching the activity on Lake Washington. read more

Service was good. The food is the problem. Everytime I eat at Chipotle I think maybe it will be better this time. I am always disappointed because no matter if I order beef or chicken it is loaded with slimy fat chunks. I end up spitting half of it out trying not to gag. They should think about prepping the meat and removing the majority of the unwanted scrap. There's nothing worse that biting into the food and gagging on chunks of fat. I used to visit this store frequently as it was closer to my home. Service: The female employees in the store are quite rude and they don't really care about customer service. It is more like a third world country prison service if one of the female employees in the store were to serve you. They have at most disregard for your requests. Food Quantity: Recently, I was told that they have a new General Manager who has strictly ordered them to give no more than two scoops of anything and that they have to charge extra for additional scoops, even for rice and tomato salsa. The definition of scoop varies depending on who is serving you. They constantly underserve their customers to increase the restaurant's profits. This is especially the case with meat where they give significantly less than 4oz (standard serving size) just to err on the safer side. Food Quality: They use harsh chemicals to clean the serving area. I happened to see it one day when I visited their store. When I questioned about the use of chemicals near the place where food is stored I was told that it is safe to use these chemicals and they have been approved by FDA. The problem is that the employees drop food on the serving area that was cleaned using these chemicals and they pick the food and put it back into the bowl or they keep their hands on this serving area and touch everything else including bowl/burrito. As a results these chemicals make their way into our food. This is kind of sick where they have no consideration for the long-term effects of these chemicals on our bodies. Ambiance: I generally ask for a take out but the store has enough place to seat folks. To be fair, I definitelty had a better experience with this store when the store was managed by their previous manager and when I was served by one of their male employees. Most male employees in the store have a sense of customer service. Please stand up for what you deserve. This restaurant doesn't care even a bit about how and what they serve their cutsomers. My review has nothing to do with this location but it's just the one that I normally get my food. I have no problem with the location. Chipotle is one of my son and I's favorite fast food places but ordering online can be a pain sometimes. I would fire whoever is in charge of IT. Why would IT limit the number of gift cards you can add to an account and only allow one gift card to be used during a transaction? How other people do it must be mind-boggling to the IT department. I will get some food somewhere else. You can blame whoever manages your site they cost you money. Just to let you know your website has caused me to go eat elsewhere on several occasions. Please pass this on to corporate. I couldn't even do a contact us on the website because it just does a loop. This place does not care about customer satisfaction. All you have to do is look at their website under contact us it will direct your to an AI chat which I cant imagine has actually helped someone. You need to do better. I understand reducing costs of a business puts more money in your pocket but at the cost of your customers will lose that profit when they don't return from not listening to them. read more

So glad that Chipotle has come to Lake City! Co-worker and I walked over here to grab some lunch today. Service was friendly and prompt; we were ahead of the lunch rush so that definitely helped. The line was getting pretty long when we were on our way out. I had the chorizo burrito, it was very tasty, full of flavor and spice, and just the right amount of heat. I added guac to my burrito, which made it ultra huge, so the person behind the counter had a hard time rolling it up. It wasn't pretty, but it tasted good! On Wednesday, 3/2/2022 my husband ordered 4 beef burrito bowls with extra meat for each one. The server wasn't putting a lot of meat into the bowls. So he asked her, what's going on, can you please give us extra meat since we are paying for it? At which she grudgingly and very sloppily put some meat into the bowls. After doing this, she yelled "I AM DONE"!, then stomped off. I say that she was sloppy because when he arrived home with the food every single container was leaking oil all over through the bottom of the containers. The containers were soaked through, drenched in oil from the very little meat. Note, although there was tons of oil in each burrito, there was not even the regular amount of meat. Suffice it to say the appropriate portion of meat was not there. All the burritos were OIL burritos, not Barbacoa burritos. In fact, the recyclable containers were so drenched in oil, they were deteriorating and pieces of this material got mixed into the rice and were part of the burrito. So we received terrible customer service on top of the meager portions of Barbacoa mixed in with recyclable material from the containers. This is the worst experience we have had at Chipotle. read more

This location is not great. I went in recently for two burritos, and my fave chips and guac. The guy working there told me they ran out of guac for the night. Ok, that sucks, but whatever. I decided to get some chips and queso instead. The queso was all old and crusty but they tried to fill up the little container with it anyway and it wasn't even half full. As I'm paying I look over to the mobile order prep area and they are serving up guac left and right.... then I glance in the back and there's a man making a huge bowl of guac. I asked why he told me they ran out and he says "yeah we are totally out". Whaaaa? It's right there!! I told him and he totally didn't even want to hear it. The meat marinade flavors and other seasonings are a lot more intense than Taco Del Mar. I like that. I've ordered 3x online and "bam" it has been made as ordered and on time. I like the alphabetical pickup shelves for online. The burritos are not huge but certainly big enough. For Lake City, this is a nice location with parking and not too near the scary homeless epicenter that Seattle has bestowed upon the business district. read more

I love burrito bowls. Normally when I go to other locations it's stacked well above the edges of the bowl. Even though I asked for lots of lettuce I got about 1/2 cup at most. The cheese was also sprinkled on there like they didn't have enough to last the rest of the day or something. Very stingy with portions even though it wasn't busy and it was late at night. We're from Denver, where Chipotle was launched, and there is one in almost every neighborhood. Not so here in Seattle. So when one opened by us, we were thrilled. However.... Be prepared to wait. At 7 pm on a Thursday night, there were 4 employees and two customers waiting (including me). Chipotles in Denver are FAST--they have it down to a science and no matter how long the line is, the wait from the line to your food is rarely longer than 10 minutes. At the Lake City location? I waited 15 (FIFTEEN!) minutes for the ONE guy working behind the counter to take his sweet time filling his station and getting the order of the guy in front of me. 15 minutes before he even asked me what I wanted. The guy at the cash register stood around and the two cooks also just stood around. It was infuriating. But not only that: when the guy was FINALLY rolling my burrito, he was so unskilled and took SO long to do it, I thought the food would be cold by the time it got in my bag. And the portions? Chipotle is know for having generous portions. For both our burrito and bowl, we got maybe one quarter cup of rice and beans each. I mean, seriously stingy. Hey Chipotle? If you want to be successful in that location, how about you train your people better? The young men there were as nice and friendly as they could be but by the time I left, 25 minutes later (!!!) I live fairly close and was very excited when I found out it was going to be chipotle :) I visited a couple of times already with an overall good experience and even received a buy one get one free coupon! I decided to have chipotle for dinner today and my experience today was a little different. Ordering the food and the service was great...but.. while I was taking a bite out of my burrito I kept smelling this awful stomach turning smell! Then as I continued to pull the foil off the burrito.. I noticed that the smell of coming off the inner layer of the foil?! I'm not usually a big fan of chains. The news that Chipotle was opening a spot in my neighborhood was met with a detached interest. An email from my daughter's middle school changed that. Chipotle was hosting a fundraiser and donating 50% of the entire day's proceeds to the school, nice! So we go for dinner, and the place is a total zoo. Line out the door, tweens everywhere. But we stick it out and the line's moving pretty quickly. We get to the front and I am sincerely amazed by how friendly and patient the workers are. I interacted with at least three of them, and they were all super pleasant. The food was fresh, made properly and quickly, and the kids meals were a really good deal. The whole experience was a really nice surprise. To me, Chipotle showed with this fundraiser that they are not only interested in joining our neighborhood, but also our community and I really appreciate that! Welcome to Lake City! read more
