This location is always very efficient. I appreciate how the food in the counter doesn't sit for long and you can most often get or wait for a fresh batch of mushroom chicken, chow mein or fried rice within minutes. The portions as always are really generous and the price and quality are even cheaper than Chinatown. For a Chinese American style fast food joint, Panda Express delivers. It's economical during a time where prices for food are skyrocketing. I spent close to $35 at McDonalds, $45 at Taco Time, $30 at Taco Bell for simple take out for my two kids and me. For $45 you know how much food I can get at Panda? Guess? The sauces are always delicious and rich which coat the chicken and beef perfectly. I like how tenderized the protein is and it balances well with the rice which absorbs it. The egg roll is. nice and big and I like that when you bite in it you taste a satisfying flavor combination of chicken and veggies. It's not skimpy. Some of the sauces are thick and you can taste the trifecta of sugary, salty, and some sour which I like. There is a PF Changs taste to the food but more mild and less generic. I stopped by this location for some take home for dinner last night. I ordered the mushroom chicken, kun pao chicken & black pepper beef which cost another 1.20 for their premium beef. Anyway got home having dinner with my parent., I was the only one who ate that black pepper beef and that was pretty tasty. After about a hr or so my stomach was making funny sounds and lots of gas. Not much pain, but then I starting to have diarrhea and pretty much crap my pants. Then changed and thought it was done, came another one . Continue to have more diarrhea. The staff is EFFICIENT and i've had zero bad experiences with them. I generally go for a "plate" and here's mini reviews of everything i've tried. Super Greens: 10/10! Steamed but with a nice crunch and a buttery garlic finish. Fried Rice: 9/10, yummy but greasy due to the nature of the food. Orange chicken: 10/10, perfect amount of sweetness and zest. Teriyaki Chicken: 8/10, good but they're out of the actual teriyaki sauce more often than i'd expect. Highly recommend their app for the rewards, my personal favorite is to redeem the medium soda (it's a VERY generously sized medium) and sit down while i drink to relax for a bit, the tables are always clean and noise is at a minimum aside from the occasional highly volumed customers. The family meal deal they have off and on right now is INSANE value! It's 20$ + tax for your choice of two large sides and three entrees. This location uses the red containers which supposedly hold more food too. I jokingly put "please include lots of food!" for special instructions and they did not disappoint! When I went to pick up my food and they handed me the bag, I thought my arm was going to fall off. The food lasted me three meals and you could probably stretch it out even more if you made your own rice at home. Of course, it's Panda Express so it's not super amazing food, but you know what you're getting and you can't beat the price with the deal. LOCATION & PARKING // It's conveniently located off of Lake City Way with a large parking lot behind it! You might miss it if you're driving down the main road. It's really nice and convenient, in case you want to hit up any of the nearby shops. The location itself is on the corner so it's a medium size joint. FOOD // The food is honestly standard quality. I haven't been disappointed with any of the food I've gotten here (and I've been here twice). Everything always tastes the way I expect. SERVICE // This is where it gets cut down for me. The service here is pretty slow. Both times I've been here, I've waited for someone to help me in line (even though I'm the only one in line) for over five minutes. I don't know if it's because they're understaffed or if I've just been unlucky and come in during busy times. It's just proven to me that this is not the place to go if I were to ever be in a rush. This location gets worse every time I go to it recently. I used to frequent this place almost weekly, but the last few times I've gone the food is awful. The kung poa chicken is all zucchini and vegetables and barely any chicken, the rangoons are stale and old every time I order them, and the portion size has decreased significantly over the last few months.
