To top it all off, after I waited 25 minutes after pick up time for my order today, it was only one bag (which is weird for my family of 5). I asked if that was the only bag and was told yes. We picked up lunch today and super disappointed. It's go often and usually really good but today the staff was so mechanical and not paying attention at all. I'm glade I ordered more steamed because my salad had hardly any, my fajitas veggies was like seven I could actually count them today that's how little there were on my salad. Tip: take a breath, LISTEN to the customer, and be respectful to each customer instead of rushing to the point of making mistakes. They rush on making the food to an idiotic degree and creating a back up at the pay station. Music is always too loud to the point employees can't even hear you talk when you're speaking at the top of your lungs. They skimp you on the portions here like no other, literally HALF the amount of Qdoba & much more expensive. The steak & carne asada is always very fatty. Every single time I've come in here, I've regretted it but it's the only quick "mex style" food spot in kitsap. Highly disappointed in the customer service and food quality & would not recommend coming here. Here's a lengthy post of the rise and fall of a brilliant concept that continues to fail on the very foundation to which it first envisioned to be.. Taqueria style dining catered to Coloradonians. I initially saw Chipotle as an occasional treat from your typical food truck or Mexican food chain. They have a vast selection of options of dishes, toppings and dietary focused exceptions which I think separates them from a lot of restaurants. They have built this vision of a sleek and fresh approach not only towards their food but also their look - it made you focus on their food rather than a snappy mascot or other bells and whistles when you enter their establishment. So Kudos for that. So here's where my relationship with Chipotle fell off and take heed of my warning since I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who was affected. Also, this particular review falls into this branch and this branch only. Reports has been filed and documented but it stopped short of that. So here it goes... A while ago ,when my hopes are still up and had a craving for some Chipotle, I drove up to visit the local branch in Silverdale. Its your typical Chipotle, sleek and glimmering, with its accolades posted on the windows and doors. Its nothing out of the ordinary and ordered a chicken dish and a pork dish for take away. Its literally just a grab and go situation but realized the first mistake when I got home... no chips? No big deal, crack open some taquitos and call it a day. The food tasted great. Fresh, flavorful and satisfying like how its supposed to be. The second mistake is more of an offense really... food poisoning. A family member fell ill with the chicken that they ate and it wasn't until a week when a formal diagnosis was filed which prompted me to reach out to their corporate office. I then eventually, a day or so, received a call back from a representative asking the details and apologized for the ordeal. The apologies felt and sounded very insincere with no assurances. I gave them pieces of my mind but it felt like it fell into deaf ears... just another complaint. I mentioned about the lack of attention to detail with their food preparations and perhaps the knowledge of their staff with regards to food handling. Now that given a chance to speak out anonymously about it, I find it appalling that it was taken nonchalantly like we are just another negative statistic. So definitely a big no-no or not even an assurance that it will be addressed or regain loyalty to their franchise. None of that. I wrote a few reviews of other franchises before and they've reached out to me to directly for more details of the encounter. They wanted to know more and even go to the extent of providing a free meal to regain my loyalty as a customer... but not Chipotle. Chipotle had a humble start and staying true to its roots. Believing not only to its followers but also the community it serves. It doesn't stop there too... it changed with the time and believed in social change that support people past its own community. I've lost confidence with this franchise and its a shame that it has to be a gamble every time you want to have their food. I chose not to gamble with my health and the health of others I care for. If I could give this place a negative I would! This is one of the worst chipotles I have ever been too. They are unprofessional in every way. They are out 50 precent of their food options every time we come in. The last time I came in to get a bowl they were out of rice, I decided to wait because of my far travels and after 20 min of waiting I noticed the workers in the back looking at me and laughing. Turns out they were never getting more rice because of their broken rice cooker and failed to update me, instead they left me waiting in their lobby. Tonight after driving an hour (this being the closest location) they closed their doors on us due to lack of staffing. I keep trying to give this place a chance but I give up. The Silverdale Chipotle is THE worst location I've been to. Unfortunately it's the closest one to my home so I keep going back- at least until the Poulsbo location is built. Hopefully that location will have an owner who cares about prompt service, consistent food portions and cleanliness. Today my son and I went to this location and arrived at 1045am- the posted open time. There was already a line forming with five people in it. After waiting for 12 more minutes in the cold and after knocking g twice and being ignored, an employee came to open the door. The staff was less than welcoming, quite dismissive and bothered to be at work. The lady in front of me ordered a fajita burrito. She was told they didnt have any peppers. Having already waited 15 minutes to get served after the doors were supposed to open and telling the employee she was on her lunch break she asked how much time until they were ready. The line cook turned to a prep cook who mumbled some under his breath which made the line cook laugh. The line cook turned to the woman and said 5 hours!! Yes, f-I-v-e! For cooked peppers and onions!! The woman was irate and asked to speak to the manager. The manager kept busy grabbing items while looking away and pretending to listen to the woman. Having worked in food service before all what I was witnessing was appalling. The manager then talked of staff shortages and blah blah blah. Here is a tip- don't open, stay closed if you can't provide the service people pay for. The woman then noticed the to-go order station had peppers, just not the walk up line. The woman told the manager it was clear to-go orders took priority over their walk in customers! When my son and I ordered the employee scooped up like 7 pieces of steak i to my bowl. This location never has consistent portions. The spoon serving is not consistent and needs to be replaced with a measured cup. Lastly, 30 minutes after their door opened a customer noticed here was no ice in the soft drink machine so he alerted the cashier. The cashier then grabbed the ice bucket, hoisted herself up on top of the drink station and stood on top of it with her filthy shoes while emptying the bucket into the top of the machine. She never returned to disinfect the counter. I'm sure the health department would like to hear that one. OVER ALL THE VISIT WAS 0/5 stars. Can't wait for a newer location to open closer to me so I can never return here. If it wasn't for the food being so good I would have stopped long ago. read more

I normally would say I love this place- mostly because it is the only Chipotle in the local area in which I live. The good: service has always been friendly and fast. Food quality is usually good - fresh, crisp lettuce, no brown guacamole, hot food. The bad: I came here today for the first time in a little while with a very strong craving, with my dream burrito in mind, made just the way I like it and always get it. Only, I come to find that like other fellow Yelpers, they were out of guacamole. How do you run out of guacamole and so often?? I made do of course, but it just wasn't the same. I placed numerous over the phone orders only to arrive and it's either not ready sometimes resulting in an additional 20 minutes. 90% of the time they mess up my phone order and even my online orders. So I've succumbed to going in store and waiting an hour because it's slightly healthier than burgers. I came in store tonight been in line for 35 minutes. They are out of chips, lettuce and fajita veggies. Definitely not worth the money of the wasted time. Set up like a cafeteria, bad lighting and even worse layout. They had the radio in the kitchen up, and the music in the lobby up so loud they couldn't hear my kids tell them what they wanted.
