I felt like I was eating a lot of cold stuff like pico, sour cream and guacamole. I would have liked more chicken. When asking the employees about the toppings, they didn't seem real confident about what they were serving. They had white shredded cheese and 1 employee thought it was provolone. The other 2 shrugged their shoulders. None of them seemed very happy to be there. The restaurant looked in disrepair. You could tell when you walked in the door that the wall looked like plywood with cutouts. The 3 trash cans by the door were all overflowing. It was 2pm and they still had a long line to order food. This isn't a review from one visit, but a result of many visits over the past few years. Pre-Covid, Chipotle was great. Large portions, fresh ingredients, employees that seemed to like their jobs, a product that paired well with the higher prices paid there. It hasn't been like this for a long time. Product quality is erratic, there is a lack of consistently in portions and flavor. I've spoken to management. I've called corporate. I decline coupons, I just want to be heard. I want to like this place! This past two visits (within a month of each other) was it for me. I walked in to the Resy tiara y saying there was no guacamole and no fajita veggies - fine, but when the person in front of me got the last burrito, I was left with nothing I wanted to order. The restaurant was a mess too, especially the kitchen. Last time, my son received a burrito that was about the size of a baseball and my wife and daughter's bowls were half full. This particular Chipotle is located in a shopping mall not far off of Interstate 10 located in a shopping plaza so parking is pretty good. I have always been a big fan of Chipotle, but have seen a slip in their quality in recent times. I wish I could say that my visit to this location changed my mind. Sadly, this visit just reaffirmed that Chipotle has bern on a steady downward spiral. I was interested in trying their new cauliflower rice.i chose that as my rice and found out when looking at my receipt that they charge a $2.00 upcharhe if you choose cauliflower rice over either their white or brown rice. Service was not the best and lacked any friendliness. I had the impression that the employees here cared for nothing more than the click to say it is time to go home. A healthy choice of ingredients include corn, lettuce, guacamole, salsa, black bean, brown rice, and white rice. This mixed in the bowl make this wonderful to eat. This particular Chipotle is clean, efficient, and the employees have a nice demeanor. If you have never had Chipotle they offer a mix of meats and other veggie options that can be placed in a bowl atop rice or lettuce, wrapped in a burrito, or sprinkled on nachos or a quesadilla. Sadly on this day they were out of guacamole. While I love Chipotle's guac, I love Moe's queso and chips far more than this restaurant. I'm a little confused why this location has such bad reviews. It's by far the shortest line in Tallahassee. Sure, sometimes people give smaller portions, but I've had that issue at every Chipotle. If you want the most bang for your buck, try the Chipotle hacks. I enjoy this Chipotle a lot. Typically only a few people in line ahead of me, I've always had great service, and the people are friendly. I typically go double meat and it's always been plenty. Wow! Okay first of all I have never left a review for Chipotle before because usually its the standard meh to fairly good food. Lets be honest most Chipotle food quality and taste has gone seriously down hill. The last 4 locations the food was down right bad, but today I took a chance. Holy cow this is some seriously circa 2011 peak Chipotle goodness that was served up to me. Let me tell you about my burrito bowl because it seriously gave me all the feels eating it. The rice was perfectly cooked and hot. The steak was also perfectly cooked, not that sometimes way too spicy, or too salty or big hunks of steak. I mean it was that perfectly seasoned little tiny bites of chopped steak that mixed beautifully in the bowl. The fajita veggies were also cooked amazing, no sogginess at all, tender and crisp but still warm and absolutely no charred pieces that I am used to receiving. The pico salsa was incredibly fresh without any mushy tomatoes. Last but not least the sour cream was not warm or ice cold but again the perfect temperature. I don't if they get all of their produce from Trader Joes or what, but I swear to you this was the best burrito bowl I have had from Chipotle in 5 years. First time ever visiting a chipotle, I read most of the reviews, but wasn't too concerned about the petty complaints (they wouldn't just go to Trader Joe's to buy avocados, 1. Because they seem to stick with fresh, organically grown produce, and 2. That's a ridiculous request for them to spend the hundreds of dollars on avocados to please everyone, not just the one guacamole crazed individual that left the review). Anyways, first time visitors and they were quick to make us feel ridiculously special! We were advised to get the bowl as a way to try all of the ingredients, and probably because it's a ginormous amount of food! We were also given guacamole and chips on the house for joining the coveted chipotle family. The food was amazing and the staff was incredibly friendly. I highly recommend this place. Even if they just knew we were out of towners and felt the need to impress us, I'm impressed and happy to join the chipotle cult! read more
