what a great find! discovered this place via the TooGoodToGo app and so glad i did. went through the drive thru to pick up my order which included ceviche & warm chips. the service was fast and the worker was friendly and helpful. didn't stop by inside to check out the ambiance but from outside it looks really cute. as for the ceviche, WOW! so refreshing, the amount of lime was perfect & i enjoyed the smaller bits of shrimp as opposed to whole big pieces. all the ingredients were cut very well and made for the perfect bite. the chips were warm and crispy and paired very well together. will definitely be back to try more of their food, love the convenience of the drive thru! read more

The person who took our order didn't seem overly friendly, but I don't judge at a fast casual place when food can speak for itself. The prices on the print menu and the wall were different, but rising food costs and inflation makes sense so yeah. Got a veggie burrito and it was loaded with veggies. Was told the whole beans were vegan and the refried beans had cheese in them, so they were vegetarian, not vegan. They said the rice was vegetarian. My kids got kid menus and the food portions were good for maybe up to a 10yo. Came with a side. Chips were added cost but the salsa was delish, so well worth it. Outside seating was perfect and it was a beautiful night. They have enough seating for about 12 people outside with lights but didn't see misters. Inside seating probably enough for like 20. Seems like a new place and I tried one of the Big Papa potatoes for $8.50. You could get meat on there, but I opted for the grilled onions, peppers and mushrooms situation. Beyond that, you choose three other toppings which for me was avocado salsa, sour cream and green Chile's. This was a massive, well cooked potato and everything was hot or cold and fresh and tasted delicious good job. I recently visited the drive-thru and ordered a chicken burrito with bell peppers, spinach, and mushrooms as my toppings. However, upon receiving my receipt, I was surprised to see a $5 extra charge, which I questioned. We LOVE these breakfast burritos. We have tried the steak, chorizo, and bacon burritos and all are equally as yummy. We bring our family and friends from out of town and they are also equally impressed. The burrito for the size is quite large (think Chipotle size). Add grilled onions and green chilis to yours and you will not be disappointed! I loved the whole pinto beans, and the rice had a subtle tasty garlic flavor. Loved the tortilla as well. You get to choose your entree and then customize it to your liking with your choice of meat, fillings and toppings. I think everyone in my family could easily find something they'd enjoy. My only gripe is that the *large drink isn't really that big, and they pack it full of ice. I would suggest asking for light ice if you're going through the drive-thru or getting a to-go order. This new shop is super cute. Owned by the same folks that own Los Olivos, Chispas serves healthy Mexican fare. The driveway is small - one way in, one way out, where I found a little drive through on the other side. The shop itself is airy and colorful. I was excited to see elote on the menu. I chose it in the cup, but you can also get it on the traditional cob. It was very different than I'm used to. The al dente corn was sitting in a whole cup of liquid. The hot sauce was on the side. But I had to drain the liquid and add my own mayo, the the hot sauce, to make it more palatable. So basically, I drained off liquid cheese in all that corn water. I also got a Sonoran dog, which was good. The bun had a really nice consistency, and the dog a good snap. My coworker decided on a bowl. She chose al pastor, which she ended up picking out. She said it was very chewy and fatty. The avocado salsa really had little taste - she ended up adding tons of hot salsa. Also, the amount of food you receive in your bowl for the price isn't great. The staff is really super nice. I would return to try other things just because they're good folks, trying to give a quality product. read more

Full disclosure: The food is good, not great. I added a star because the service is so wonderful, and you get so much food for the very reasonable prices. The value is polar opposite to the nearby Dilla Libre. I can't recommend the carne asada, but the chicken and carnitas are both really good. My two tacos here contain at least twice as much food as the three tacos I tried at Dilla Libre and for a lesser price. If you eat cool and atmosphere, go to Dilla Libre. This is a GREAT place when you're craving fast-casual, but healthy, Mexican food or you want to support a local restaurant over a big chain. In bonuses, this location has a drive-through as well as patio dining, making it a convenient spot for WFH or a lunch break if you live in the neighborhood. The food was excellent--filling, but not overfilling and made with real ingredients. On my first trip, I had the salad, which easily made three meals. The romaine was incredibly fresh and the ingredients were laid out beautifully. The next time, I tried the veggie burrito. The size and proportions of the burrito ingredients were just right. I like that you get to choose the included ingredients from a list, and add to those if you want. The only two downsides were that it does take a little longer than it would at a chain drive-through to get your food at lunch, but that's to be expected from a small business, especially in pandemic times, and especially since these are custom-crafted menu items, not fast food. The other aspect was the price point, which was entirely reasonable for the quality of the food, but places it in the fast-casual vs. fast-food category. read more
