I live in rural area where I don't get to eat yogurt very often, so it is usually a food I seek out when traveling. As ridiculous as it sounds to me to go to a restaurant to eat yogurt, I was intrigued by the idea of a yogurt-themed cafe after reading an article about Chobani's founder in the Costco magazine. I've visited both Chobani locatins now and the Soho one is definitely nicer--go to this one if you want to get an idea of the experience. Go to the other one only if you also need to go to Target. In my case, the Soho location was a convenient breakfast stopping point in between Brooklyn and Queens when I had to go from one to the other. I ordered the Peanut Butter Banana breakfast bowl to stay. It was presented beautifully. It consists of a bowl of chocolate puffed millet, which are very tiny balls that are crunchy and never got soggy. There was also banana, cocoa, strawberries, and lots of peanuts. It is served with an open bottle of a thinned yogurt that also had peanut butter in it. It was delicious, nutritious, and a filling breakfast. As simple as it is, it was well-crafted with quality ingredients and I fantasized about a repeat visit to get another one. I also got the Green Goodness drink to go, which served as my lunch. This was one of the more unique smoothies I've had, and I really enjoyed it. It has fruit, veggie, and yogurt in it, and was a nice contrast since it seems to be hard to find smoothies with cow dairy in them. It had nice herbal flavors as well, and I especially appreciated the mint. It is something I would order again. The ambience in this cafe is relaxing and they have free wifi. read more

The most shamefully yuppie thing about me is that I regularly visit yogurt cafes. Well, second most. Yelping is obviously first. I first tried out Chobani's brick and mortar cafe when I lived in Soho a couple summers back, and it's become a standard stop when I'm overwhelmed from shopping and sightseeing in this part of town. The interior, white-walled and hip though it is, is not particularly soothing. It's always a little too overrun with tourists and children, though the staff does their best. The store offers sweet and savory yogurt "creations," as well as some salad and sandwich options. On my most recent visit, I opted for the Peanut Butter and Jelly, which is plain yogurt topped with concord grapes, roasted peanuts, peanut butter, and jelly (duh). At $5something after tax, it's not exactly a steal, but it is a significant portion. It was ready in a few minutes, and I took it to go given the crush of families. It's good stuff. The sad truth of the Chobani cafe is that you could make any of this yourself, with their products and a trip to the grocery store, so it's hard to get too excited over, but it's good stuff. Recommended for a healthy improvement over the other options (trucks, cronuts, and macarons) in the neighborhood. read more

I loved the pistachio and dark chocolate (w/ orange, mint, and honey) sweet creation. I loved the crunch from the pistachios and the mint was a nice touch. I liked how there were so many other options on the menu besides just yogurt. I'll probably try one of the sandwiches next time. Super cute place. I really liked sitting by the window. This place is just awesome! It is located in the intersection of Prince and Broadway. Their menu is very succinct so that customers can make their choices quick. I recommend the combo option of taking half sandwich, small soup or small salad. Among the soup - the Turkish lentil is the best..very smooth! I recommend the quinoa tabbouleh salad with beets in them. When you want to taste something sweet, I recommend the pistachio chocolate flavor on Chobani. Its an ideal way to end your lunch. One issue is that this place is very small and you may find it hard to get seating especially during peak hours. The staff is very friendly and ensure that you have a good experience. Absolutely love this spot! I feel so healthy and nourished every time I come here and order my favorite Blueberry + Power bowl. The cafe itself smells like heaven, and is nicely tucked away on a corner in SoHo that feels homey and vibrant all at once. I've encouraged all my friends to try this place, and none have been disappointed! The staff is always friendly and helpful, eager to make recommendations and hand you your order ASAP. They greet you at the door if you don't know what to get, and you order from a cashier station on the side. This store has two entrances and a decent amount of seating despite the small space. Props to the interior designer for making a space that has good flow but still feels cozy. The prices are decent for the atmosphere and quality of food, and they also have a durable loyalty card that you can keep and swipe every time you visit. La Colombe is next door and the stores are actually joined so when I wait for my order, I head over there to order myself and iced coffee and once I get back to Chobani, my order is always ready. It's a pretty winning combination! Stop by for a quick recharge during lunch, or come with your whole family (as most people do), or bring your laptop (Free WiFi!) and get some work done. Love this unique cafe (yes, from the Chobani brand) when I'm in need of a healthy snack. I believe this is the only location left in the city. They used to have a pop up inside one of the Target stores. Their menu shows the many different ways to create healthy and delicious snacks using Greek yogurt, ranging from sandwiches to fruit bowls. The sweet and savory yogurt bowls are my favorite! Blueberry and Power, Hummus and za'atar, Mango and avocado. In the past, you could keep the glass bowl as a complimentary gift but now it's only about a dollar and some change. The Chobani SoHo of 2015 (five stars) was a much better Chobani SoHo of 2018 (three stars). In the past, the price you paid would allow you to take home the little Chobani glass bowl as well, making for a beautiful little souvenir. Now, they no longer let you take the bowl home! I had the salmon and cream cheese which was delicious. I always enjoy that combination. The simit chewy but easy to eat and the labne was slightly sour but not overpowering. My friend had the turkey avocado. I couldn't really taste the turkey cause the portion was so small. It was more of like a vegetable sandwich but still good. Really cute cafe for the famous yogurt brand! I really liked their any two combo (either half salad, half sandwich, or half creation). The roasted turkey and avocado sandwich was particularly good. Also loved the sweet creations we got (peanut butter and jelly, dark chocolate and Pistachio) and it's nice they come in either half or full sized. Would highly recommend for a healthy meal with a sweet and still relatively healthy treat at the end. Interior of the cafe is also very cute! I rolled my eyes when I heard about the Chobani bar. I assumed it was going to be overpriced and just a waste of space. I was wrong. The "priciest" one is at $3.75 and just a plain yogurt is $2.75. And they are all served in a glass bowl...that you can later return for 25 cents off of your next yogurt visit. I got the plain Chobani and cucumbers...which also has mint, salt, olive oil, served with pita chips. It was absolutely delightful. The mint was the best part. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by a Chobani employee carrying an iPhone ready to jot down my order. I gave her my name and she suggested some of her favorites. Each employee takes care of their own customer's orders (commission and whatnot, I believe). They couldn't take tips. While you wait for your yogurt(s) to be made, you can go over at the bar and watch the people make it. There are no seating areas, so it's all to go. The bar looked like a showroom for kitchens. Totally and completely in love with this cute little *newly revamped* soho spot, I can't give it more praise. The cafe is a quaint, bright, clean space that lets you peak at the kitchen while your food is being prepared, which I do love. As far as the food, they have the obvious options of smoothies, breakfast yogurt bowls, and the classic sweet bowls you'd expect. However, they also have some more surprising things like soup, salad, savory options like dips with artichoke and avocado, and more - all of which include of course some Greek yogurt! This was my second trip, my sister and I stopped in for lunch after yoga, and I loved every second. I ordered the half salad half sweet bowl option (I'm a sucker for combos so I can try more things at once!). I did the Mediterranean salad - their spin on a Greek with some seriously amazing tangy dressing, it's all about the dressing! Phenom. My second half was the peanut butter and jelly yogurt bowl, it came in an adorable glass Chobani bowl with wooden spoon and was so so tasty. Their presentation is so lovely, with little glass milk jugs for the smoothies and copper platters the food comes out on, they do a really nice job and thought of just about everything. Need an outlet to charge your phone during your lunch break? They thought of that too and they're at most of the seating areas. Love! If I lived or worked down near here I'd be here at least once a week! But I will definitely still try to make the trip when I'm in the area because there are way too many things I still need to try. First, Chobani is yogurt as in actual yogurt. This store front is not Chobani's version of frozen yogurt. This first location is kind of a big deal if you think about it. But damn I feel lucky that I now live in the city where Chobani opened its first storefront. The creations are genius. The quality of ingredients are of the utmost best. I am looking forward to the creations changing due to seasonal offerings. Right now your yogurt base options are plain. I'm hoping they will come up with creations using their flavored ones. My favorite Chobani flavor is the pineapple so naturally I ordered the Pineapple + Toasted Coconut. Jazzed up with hazelnuts and drizzled with agave, this was "parfait" perfection. Peanut Butter Chobani Time. Yup, Chobani done did it and made a pb&j creation. Decadent all natural peanut butter, grape jam, toasted peanuts, fresh red grapes, who needs bread anymore. The attention to detail here was crazy town. Ridiculously efficient order taking via iPhones. Loved the glass dishes they were served in and there are a few things that can be done with those. You can take them home and bring them back on your next visit for 25cents off your next purchase or turn them in when you are done eating and they will give you a voucher. We turned them in after we were done eating but the place was so packed we didn't want to wait for our voucher. Loved the cheese cloth "lid". Totally thought it was nifty that the uniform shirts were cheese cloth as well. The see through glass paneled kitchen was stunning. On the humanitarian note, 100% of the proceeds of their bottled water goes to the Water for Water foundation. They've got a good thing going on here and I'm a total supporter and will be along to try every new flavor creations they come up with. read more

A Chobani retail outlet in Soho... How much more basic and trendy could we get? All jokes aside, this unassuming yogurt and coffee bar by a national brand of somewhat mediocre, sugary yogurt is the real deal! I even came back twice during my stay (don't judge), just to try a different flavor! Service is quite professional and friendly at entry. An employee took my credit/debit card order right from a mobile iPad both visits. Definitely get your yogurt creation to stay if you can find a seat-- it comes in a great glass bowl and a wooden tray! Both the cucumber savory yogurt and pistachio/orange/chocolate sweet yogurts were exceptional! The yogurt and toppings were fresh, perfectly portioned, and balanced. I prefer mixing the toppings in (after pics of course), but it is also quite tasty to dig your spoon all the way down and experience the contrast of the plain, tart yogurt with the salty, sweet, or fresh toppings! I certainly could not pick a favorite yogurt out of the two-- and the rest looked divine as well! The small size was plenty for an afternoon snack or a quick morning breakfast. Perhaps the most unexpected highlight of the experience was their cold brew coffee! I'm not a huge fan in general, but in a relatively hot, humid NYC, it sounded like it would hit the spot. Their cold brew is out of this world delicious! The coffee flavor was bold, fragrant, and served at the perfect temperature out of their coffee tap. This is by far the best cold brew I've had in recent memory! Overall, this is a must-stop if you are a yogurt fan wanting something healthy, tasty, and different. The Chobani Soho yogurt bar has grown on me. I tend to avoid fancy corner stores in Soho as I find the staff and the clients to be somewhat snooty. Or perhaps I am jealous of their European chic? Be that as it may, this café is an exception in that the service is personalized, the product is customized, and the said clientele is too busy ordering or consuming to act fancy and noteworthy. I am drawn to most of the yogurt concoctions in the menu. My favorite is the Fig and Walnut, drizzled with honey. The glass cups are keepsakes, and will someday sell for a dollar or two on eBay I am sure. I even like their lentil soup and other savory creations that are as far-removed from yogurt as the economy of Greece is from rest of the Eurozone. Next time I will be sure to try their rice pudding. OK so maybe this isn't the hippest indie yogurt store in town, as it's obviously owned by a large brand that sells their products at most grocery stores. But after a few trips there I felt like I had a unique experience, tasted some great things that I couldn't get at my local store, and at a great price to boot. A half-sized yogurt 'creation' is $5.50 and is a very hearty snack or even a light meal. While some places (cough cough Greecologies) will charge you for every topping you put on there, each creation comes with a ton of fun toppings for free. My favorites have been the toasted coconut and pineapple and the fresh fruit and granola (the fruit changes by season). You can also get some savory varieties, and even some sandwiches and soups. It's not just for yogurt! Oh! And last time I was there I discovered that they sell packaged yogurt too, including flavors I had never seen before like a seasonal watermelon, a seasonal plum, and passion fruit - all were delish and I think they were just over $2 each! I've always taken my order to go, and sometimes they give it to you in a cool glass dish that I totally re-use at home all the time (the size is perfect for cooking prep). Warning: I've lived in Turkey, so this review is gonna get all sorts of pretentious up in here. Because despite the fact that it's "Greek" yogurt, Chobani has a Turkish founder and the people of Turkey know their yogurt. Ok first off, this place is GORGEOUS. It's the perfect extension of the Chobani brand and emphasizes fresh and wholesome ingredients in every way. Their employees wear white coats while crafting your perfect bowl and are just the nicest people. Sorry I'm a branding nerd and this place literally inspired me to write a blog post for work. I'm not going to go too much into their yogurt as everyone else already has. Just know the Toasted Coconut + Pineapple and Fig + Walnut are delish. What got me most excited about this place is now they've opened up a cafe section with simit sandwiches! Simit, aşkim, how I've missed you like how one misses an annoying friend from a past life. A little background on the simit: I guess it's like the Turkish equivalent of a bagel or pretzel that's sold on carts that old men push around. Many a mornings were started with simit and many a mornings I've been disappointed by their rock hard horrible nature.
