I stopped by here to get a drink as I was intrigued by their outdoor display offerings. They had so many options to go with but I decided to go with the Hibiscus iced tea. The service was excellent. The guy that helped me out was friendly and greeted me right away when I walked in. He made sure to greet me but also I didn't feel overwhelmed to order right away. I took a minute to myself to scan the menu and I ultimately decided for the hibiscus iced tea. I was thinking about getting an iced latte since the weather was warm but I didn't want to drink more coffee especially in the evening time. The ambiance inside is pretty laid back and chill. After I walked in there were other customers that walked in after me. I would recommend coming here and checking out their drink offerings and their crepes. Today, a Friday, I got there shortly after 12 and they told me that I couldn't eat inside because they would be closing for an hour. I could eat outside or do takeout. This cafe is small but mighty. Literally everything they make is delicious. They use fresh ingredients and offer a wide selection. My children say they make the best Nutella crepes in the world. I love their coffee selection and my favorites are their breakfast sandwich and breakfast burritos. Additionally, everyone who works here is so warm, friendly and welcoming. Bagel sandwiches with turkey ham, eggs and cheese are $5. Bagel and butter are $2.50. We all loved our food. There are sweet or savory crepes. The. Best. Gluten free. Crepes. I could honestly stop the review there. This little restaurant is super quaint, but doesn't have much seating. Fortunately, with a park across the street you could take your food to go and have a picnic if they're busy. Not all gluten free crepes are created equal, but Village Crêperie has it figured out. The combo I was looking for wasn't on the menu, so I just ordered a crepe with ham, gruyere, and an egg. So perfect. The chef even cleans the grill for me because of the allergy. My only issue is that when dining in a restaurant it's weird to be served your food with plastic utensils. This certainly won't stop me from returning though :-) read more

They changed their coffee... umph! Now it's Overpriced Deli Coffee only More Acidic which burns my stomach. Their supplier told them it's the same coffee, it isn't and they don't have the discerment to tell the difference. They use to have a great coffee that tasted like you were chewing the bean without the grit. Very disappointing :( read more

Really nice little spot across from Tompkins Square Park. They opened right before the shutdown , really tough timing - they have been showing up & working long days ever since, always with the most friendly approach. My usual is a cold brew & a delicious crepe - and I love that they have Il Laboratorio del Gelato , & great ice teas.
