Never had a bad experience in this place. I'm a creature of habit and I always order the same thing when I come and its consistent and delicious every time. Do yourself a favor and order a Wellbeing Bagel, I get mine with regular cream cheese on an everything bagel. This bagel looks like they took a whole avocado and dumped it on top, amazing! Also comes with tomato, onion and lemon pepper which is a perfect combo. I also add a fresh squeezed orange juice as my preferred drink and I'm all set for my day. This combo will set you back about $14 which is not bad considering the quality and amount they give. The ladies working there are all such sweethearts, don't forget to tip them! Descent place to grab coffee. Service was nice, but pretty slow and the drinks a bit inconsistent. Nice selection of drinks, hot, iced and blended, with and without coffee. My son had a cookies and cream shake, pretty good. I had the blended mocha and my husband an iced caramel, both ok, but not stellar. I was in town for an all-day vet surgical procedure and picked this cafe per a friend's recommendation. I ordered a breakfast wrap which contained hash browns, eggs, cheddar, and salsa. It was very tasty and so large I could not finish it. Both the male cashier and female runner were friendly and professional. I spent hours sitting outside in their patio doing remote work and never felt like they wanted me to leave. I found this coffee shop during my lunch break at work one day. I've started going almost every day now for a coffee and lunch . 2 years have passed by and I had no clue the friendships and memories that would await me from this amazing establishment. This is a family run business and it shows in the outstanding customer service. The owners Jane and Chris are dedicated to the quality of food and coffee they roast. Their daughters Kelly and Sally are kind and friendly. Every item of the menu is fresh and packed with ingredients for the price you pay. My favorite thing to get to drink from here is an iced caramel macchiato with almond milk and sandwich wise I'll get a vegetarian on sourdough. I've probably tried over half the menu and you can't go wrong. My husband likes to get a half tea/half lemonade to drink and then a turkey sandwich. The breakfast is so good too! Absolutely delicious and the employees are so kind. I ordered the Baja Bagel and my family ordered two sandwiches. My Baja bagel was a hit, a little spicy and it feels really fresh and light. Loved it and I would absolutely order it again. Also my coffee was perfect for me, but I also just ordered a caramel macchiato. Perfect amount of sweetness, not too bitter and not to sweet. Located in the Pavilion's shopping center is what appears to be a locally run coffee shop. The establishment is clean and they have your fairly standard coffee selections in addition to a small food menu that included sandwiches and breakfasty type items. I ordered a blended vanilla latte, but it was way more blended than latte. Two drinks in and I was still searching for any semblance of a coffee flavor, but sadly it was a merely a high priced vanilla shake. Not bad, but not what I wanted either. I have been coming here for years! It's family owned, so I'm always willing to support. Their "ChocoChill" is a known staple, so definitely try that. Their coffee is great but I can admit that their syrups are not the best. The food is AMAZING. They make great, heavy duty sandwiches that are worth every penny - breakfast and lunch. I love this place, everything I have ordered is just what I order! BUT, I usually get the Salmon Cream Cheese Spread on bagel with tomato and capers, jalapeno and cheese bagel, it's so delish and half the cost of the lox and bagel. They are so accomodating, whatever you like, they do it for you! Oddly, I don't drink coffee, so can't say much about that, but what I have found is the Peppermint Lemonaide, it's so good! First of all I'd like to start off by saying this review is long overdue. Secondly is that this review is extremely well deserving of five ***** hands down!!!!!! Chocobean coffee has there own equipment inside the restaurant they use to roast there own coffee so you can taste the freshness of there coffee . Chocobean offers the best and I mean THE BEST COFFEE IN O.C. Trust me I've tried mostly all the coffee restaurants in OC including the chain restaurants and not one of them even comes close to CHOCOBEAN. Chocobean offers exceptionally great tasting HOT coffee as well as a nice reasonably priced menu of some excellent foods including breakfast sandwiches, fresh bagels, breakfast wraps, breakfast scramble entrees, freshly made sandwiches inc. panini sandwiches (my favorite), soups, salads and more. All there menu items are cooked to order unlike these chain coffee establishments such as Starbucks where there food items are mostly frozen , taste nasty, and are all way overpriced. Honestly I don't know how these other coffee places like Starbucks have made it as far as they have. Personally I do NOT CARE for most of there coffee drinks especially there house blend coffee and definItely don't care for any of there over priced frozen bagel sandwiches or other frozen foods they offer. Chocobean would be an awesome coffee chain and would be way bigger and better than any of these chain coffee establishments hands down but I like family owned restaurants for there warm friendly customer service vs any chain of restaurants. I've been coming to chocobean for well over twenty yrs now and have had the privilege of meeting some very nice people that have owned this restaurant but the previous owners have moved away years ago and sold it to another really super super nice family. This very sweet family are very welcoming to everyone that walks in the door and are very accommodating to your needs as well. You can't ask for better customer service than this pretty much anywhere . Awesome little place we stopped in for a quick breakfast on Saturday morning. I'm ashamed to say I didn't actually try the coffee, which really is a shame because they roast their own beans right in the store. We were just in a hurry for something healthy and fast and happened to be in the parking lot and thought we would try it out. They have a good sized menu with both breakfast and lunch, mostly sandwiches, and it isn't marked anywhere on the menu but they offer gluten-free bread and it's delicious and they don't charge you extra for it! I had the California sandwich from the lunch menu and my guy had the California breakfast sandwich on a bagel. My sandwich was pretty big and everything was fresh and tasty, same with my guy's.
