The chicken is flavor forward, the filling is savory while maintaining that perfect wet to dry texture you'd want in a bowl. But it's a Chopanini!!! I appreciated that the flavors don't overpower each other and allow for you to consistently take bites that leave you wanting more. The food is made quick, they apparently have a drive thru, I don't really know what to say other than we should have more of these around town! Great to have a fast food salad-focused restaurant...with a drive through! Conveniently located on Plumb with parking out front if you prefer to walk in. Clean standard seating inside and out. Prices are pretty reasonable and there are a lot of options on the menu: straight salad, grilled wrap, rice bowl base, and quesadillas. I've tried the grilled wrap (chopanini) and quesadilla and both were great. Wide selection of toppings, including edamame, black beans, walnuts, tortilla strips, quinoa, and broccoli. They offer pretty good salmon and shrimp as protein options, and the manager talked to us about the high quality of the ingredients overall. A few lowlights: Sadly, the app and website ordering have never worked for me, so it's nice that there's a drive-through. There is a dedicated pick-up lane in the drive-through for app orders in case you get that to work. Also, after having the soft pretzel side left out of the bag multiple times, staff told us it doesn't show up on the ticket, and they have to remember that it comes in combo orders. Other items have been missing, so it's also probably part of the restaurant and staff being new. That said, have gone back several times since the opening. Great option to add into the takeout mix. I Went on the app to order a salad for dinner. It was pretty easy to do. There was a special it said for 15% off for orders on the app with a time set to qualify so I put in an order for pick up in the timeframe stated but when I went to pay the discount wasn't there. I checked but there wasn't a code to enter. I decided to get the salad anyway since it was a hot day and didn't feel like cooking! I was given a time my order would be ready for pickup so drove down. They have a drive through so I didn't have to get out of my car! Bonus points for that! There are two lines, one to order and one for pickup so I chose that line and was helped at the speaker right away. I was told to drive up and when I got there was asked the order name and it was ready a couple minutes early. The girl was cheerful and the experience easy. The salad was a good size for two but could have used a little more portions especially the extras I paid for but the avocado was fresh and not premade. read more

I recently tried ChopStop through a Yelp Elite promotion and absolutely enjoyed it! I ordered the Powerhouse Chop, which comes with romaine/spinach blend, Atlantic salmon, avocado, carrots, radishes, cilantro, walnuts, and a sweet gochujang vinaigrette. This salad had everything I needed -- it was fresh, flavorful, filling, and perfectly balanced. The vinaigrette had a little kick to it, but it was just right. So delicious! The service was also great. The gentleman behind the counter was quick, friendly, and explained the whole ordering process to me, which made everything super easy. I topped it all off with a Diet Dr Pepper and left very happy. We enjoyed it so much that we went back again the very next week! I'm always trying to get my in-laws to eat a little healthier, and this place is perfect because there's something for everyone. I would definitely order the Powerhouse Chop again! read more

Love the food and love the service. There aren't a ton of easily healthy and quick food choices here in Reno, so Chop Stop fills a very specific need, and they do it well with delicious, satisfying options that are well prepared. I've had their Classic and Salmon salads and found both to be just what I was looking for in terms of flavor, quantity, and quality. My only gripe has been that of the four times I've been there, they've missed a side item on my order three times (once a pretzel, once a drink, and once a brownie) and I had to request a makeup item on the subsequent visit. I keep going because I love that we have this option here in Reno and I think the service is very friendly (they're always super quick to address the issue), and I just chalk it up to them being a new restaurant and not yet having their sea legs (farm legs?). read more

Decided to come here for lunch after having salad at a Yelp special event. I was quite impressed with it. I used the app to order a shrimp chop. The apple is nice as it allows you to adjust toppings that comes with the salad. A nice feature about ChopStop is, let's say you don't want the tortilla topping, when you remove the item, the app allows you to pick a different item at no charge. So you can adjust the specialty salad toppings without penalty. After you reached the specific number of toppings, you can have other toppings added on for a fee. Extra protein ranges from $.85 for boiled egg or Tofu, $2.35 for non premium protein like chicken, and $3.85 for premium protein like shrimp or salmon. What I ordered: Shrimp Chop Mixed spinach and romaine base Tomatoes, corn, red beats, mushrooms, boiled egg, (I removed the tortilla chips, cucumbers, red onions) Price $12.99 It took me about 10 minutes to get to the location on Plum Lane. Another nice feature is you can have the staff toss dressing in or have it on the side. The app recommends eating the salad within 30 minutes if you have the dressing mixed in. Finally, they have a sort of happy hour time if you order and pick up between 3 PM and 5 PM you get a 15% discount. One of the girls remembered me from the day before and was quite elated that I had returned. Very friendly, there was an issue with the happy hour price on the app. So she just gave me a two dollar off coupon for my next visit which I was OK with. There are some fixed tables in the middle and a bar style seating area. There are also half booth half tables along the right wall with movable tables in case you have a larger group of people. I stopped in here to pick up lunch while running errands, and took it to-go. Thought I would try out this relatively new location for fresh healthy food. The Good: Ordering for pickup through DoorDash was seamless, and my order was ready promptly. The staff member I interacted with was friendly and kind. The creamy miso dressing I chose was delish and elevated the whole dish. The Not As Good: I ordered the Salmon Chop Salad straight off the menu, no additions or deletions, but did sub out the dressing for a different one (which they got right). But the salad has 6 veggie ingredients and they left off one (crispy onions). The salmon tasted fine, but there was very little of it, maybe 2 ounces (less than a serving of protein). The tomatoes were mealy/mushy and not fresh. I get that good tomatoes are hard to come by in the off season, so I give a pass on that. An additional note, make sure to check for silverware as they don't automatically add it to your bag (which is fine) and I had to ask for it. I will probably give them another try and hope they get it right. Maybe something without tomatoes. read more
