    Cobb salad
    Dawn D.

Stopped in for lunch. I created my own salad with spinach, chicken, carrots, celery, cheese, and dressing. You get a huge bowl they put everything together and then mix and chop it then put in your bowl Very good but hard to find the protein that sinks to the bottom of large bowl. It's a great place but you have to love a salad. My daughter got the Cobb salad. She loved it. So if your in the Glastonbury area stop in for a very filling and satisfying salad. They also have soups and a small selection of warm items.

A reasonable quality but expensive salad place I do enjoy eating greens on the occasion, and this place was new to me. So I gave them a go when I was looking for a quickie lunch. place was clean, but pretty much standard for a salad place. leafy greens in the back, mix-ins in the front, and you walk down the line cafeteria style until you eventually pay. The floors behind the counter were not as clean, but I'd imagine this was due to a lunch rush and haven't actually addressed it yet Staff here are...apathetic. Not to the point of being rude or inconsiderate. They looked like they were on the tail-end of a lot of work and were in straight up work mode. Once again, not a detractor, just something I noticed. I opt for one of their pre-selected options, the chipotle chicken bowl. Their pricing for make your own is a little high, you get 4 mix-ins and that doesn't include proteins, then it's an upcharge for every mix-in after that. A single salad can end up costing a ton of money, so that's something to keep and eye out for. The salad itself, it was decent. I felt that for the money it was dressed and assembled well. the lettuce was fresh, and it had enough cheese and other little items to keep each bite interesting. The chipotle ranch was not hot, not really ranch either. The chicken was tender and chilled, seasoned okay. Overall, for the money it's on par with many other salad places. There's nothing here that makes this a better buy or a better bite over any other. That being typed, there is a whole foods right next to this place that offers salads for roughly the same price. So it's an option

On my first visit, I ordered the Verde Pork Pazole Bowl from the Glastonbury Chopt Salad. It came with cauliflower rice, hominy, shredded pork, tortilla strips, radish, cabbage and other stuff. It was good, and the Chimichurri Ranch dressing was flat out delicious. But I really want to acknowledge Chopt for actually serving its salads and bowls dressed if you want. Many places default to serving their salads with dressing on the side. That has merit if there's going to be significant lag time between the making and eating of the salad. The lettuce might get soggy under those circumstances. But I usually eat takeout and/or delivery salads right away. So I'd prefer to have a traditionally dressed salad, like a Caesar Salad, properly dressed when it arrives. An un-dressed Caesar Salad is just an ordinary salad with Caesar dressing. I don't want that. For such salads, I ask restaurants to dress salads when I get takeout and/or delivery salad. And you know what happens 80% percent of the time? The restaurant serves the dressing on the side. For our recent online takeout order, Chopt dressed the salads of people who wanted that, and had a side dressing container for the person who wanted that. Thanks to Chopt for asking, and for getting it right. Four Stars

Chopt Gives Harvest Bowl and my drink, a Propel I brought from my car.

Tried the Chopt Gives Harvest Bowl (Renamed back to Harvest Bowl as of 7-13 due to the gives promotion ending) It's really good. The two dressing work well and the portion is quite generous considering what they usually charge at other places. I would definitely go back if I needed a quick salad. P.S. bring your own drink if you don't like can soda or their limited selection of drinks.

Went today and I received better service. After speaking with the manager via Yelp they rectified the previous problem that I had and sent a gift card. Better service the second time around!

Some of the best salads I've ever had! This was my first visit to a Chopt location and I am seriously impressed. We had the Heart of Palm and Santa Fe salads, and what impressed me the most was the effort to include layers of ingredients throughout the salad so you aren't left with just lettuce after finishing the top. The bowl was huge, and I was so happy when I kept finding my favorite things, like tomatoes, chicken, or avocado, as I made my way towards the bottom. The wrap was delicious as well! Next time I'm going to try the lemon tahini dressing I saw on their board. Their variety is awesome, and Chopt has a beautiful space to sit and relax too.

WOW. Say hello to my new favorite salad joint! What an awesome addition to Glastonbury and central CT's first Chopt location! They weren't lying when they named this place Chopt... all the ingredients are chopped up making every bite perfect. I got the Spicy Sonoma Caesar Salad and it was incredible. Like easily the best salad I've ever had. I will order this weekly! It had chipotle chicken, avocado, parm crisps, pickled cherry peppers all dressed with creamy caeser dressing. We ordered online and the salad was ready in the pickup area right when we arrived. Such an easy process. This is definitely the best of the best. A+

    Mediterannian Warm Bowl
    Sho R.

I have seen Chopt in New York many times, but never tried. Good to see finally they opened in Glastonbury. I went for a Mediterranean warm bowl and chicken tinga warm bowl with cauliflour rice. Both were really good. Mediterannean bowl had a slight sour taste to it.

Tostada Ranch Bowl for $13.00 they ran out of the correct bowl. But this is the not same portion.... Don't know if I'll be back...

Great salads and a quick (yet healthier) choice for when you're on the run or have a few minutes to dine in. I've done both!

i had the best hot and sour soup i have ever tried excellent…read more the owner is a great chef. ALSO Great Thai fried rice. now i want to go back and try everything on her MENU fantastic food and atmosphere

"Down to the banana republics, things aren't as warm as…read morethey seem None of the natives are buying any second-hand American dreams" (Jimmy Buffett) Lunch at the Banana Leaf was a real triad of contrasts, as we had very positive reactions to their atmosphere and food but a very different experience with service. First of all, the décor is very pretty, with a thatched roof/tiki bar-like design at their small bar, painted designs and artwork on the walls, pretty light fixtures, sculptures, and Tiffany style glass. There is plenty of room between the tables, so you really have a sense of privacy and are not crowded at all. I love Thai food, and I loved my lunch. I ordered a small Coconut Tom Yum soup ($6), and it was a10/10. It had the coconutty mildly spiced hot and sour flavor I love and was loaded with chicken, A big bowl of just that soup would have been enough for my munch any day of the week. I also ordered their Spicy Eggplant with Squid ($18) stir-fried with bamboo shoot, snow peas, string beans, carrots, bell peppers and basil leaves in spicy basil sauce. It was served with a side of white rice. It was a great example of why I love Thai food because the flavor was fantastic. The portion was big enough that we brought home half for another day. Now, as far as we experienced, the real clunker here was the service. Perfunctory, unsmiling, non-engaging, robotic are words that come to mind. What a shame, because just a little effort really would have made a big difference.
