P13. Steamed Juicy Pork Dumplings (10)

Everything we ordered tasted great and came out quickly. The service was excellent as well. I hadn't been back to this location in a couple of years but it was still consistent. It's a small restaurant so expect there to be a wait during peak times. I highly recommend the soup dumplings, sweet and sour chicken, salt and pepper fish, a choy vegetables, and the stir fried egg and tomato dishes.

Some of the best orange chicken I have had in a long time! Very fresh tasting. Smaller area for dinning The service was great.

Food is always so tasty. We have tried a variety of dumplings, soups, and entrees and enjoyed each. Service is always courteous, prompt, and attentive. As soon as you walk in the door they immediately get you seated at a table when there's availability. Menu is extensive, offering entrees we are not familiar with along with many of the usual suspects. And everything is served up quickly. They've recently posted an illustration on the walls about the dumplings, advising how to eat them so you don't burn yourself or your tongue. A little too late for me, but it made me chuckle. Each item we have tried has been fresh and delicious. I suppose we have gotten hooked on a few of our favorites and frequently order those items. Chous has become a favorite and certainly worth the wait when there is one. In the mood for Chinese food, specifically Northeastern Chinese cuisine? Or do you have the urge for delicious, homemade dumplings? Craving bold, hearty flavors? Chous fills that niche.

I have been here quite a few times and constantly forget to leave a review, which is insane because this is one of favorite Chinese spots on the East side!! This family owned small business really kills it every time. They're fast, efficient, polite, and welcoming. Oftentimes regulars fill the establishment and that alone speaks volume. The inside is quiet without much seating but the service is so quick it works out well for them. Not to mention the costs are a steal! I order an insane amount of food with my group when we go and I'm always shocked by the large portions with plenty of leftovers and the low bill. Our favorites?? - egg drop soup (the small size is huge) - soup dumplings - orange chicken (so so good with real orange chunks) - pork mapo tofu (such a classic Szechuan favorite dish) - house noodles (chicken noodles) - spring rolls - chicken with mushroom and bok choy This place is an absolute gem and I cannot recommend it enough!! We go about 1 time a month and could easily go more often. Must give it a try!

Very disappointing experience As I say ok my Yelp profile I tell it like it is Service was slow Dishes came out in random fashion We ordered fried dumplings to start then sweet/sour chicken, spicy fish filet and house fried rice Sweet/sour chicken came out after a long wait We asked about the dumplings and were told they would be coming Dumplings barely fried on one side - undercooked at best - not good Fried rice was unappetizing to say the least- no flavor at all and chicken looked boiled - two measly shrimp on the platter - terrible Spicy fish was not spicy and way too oily from the fryer Food was barely average Chili oil was bland and the container was dirty with dried drips on the outside and the lid looked like it had not been cleaned in ages - pretty bad We will definitely not be going back My wife had a bad feeling when we were seated I asked her if she wanted to leave We decided to stay - bad call - should have heeded my wife's intuition

We live 45 minutes from this Chinese food restaurant, but anytime we're in the Chandler area. This is where we go. The staff is great. The food is amazing. You can't go wrong.

Charles kitchen offers a pleasant, comfortable dining option if you're in the area and wanting Chinese food. The service is some of the quickest I've ever had. I ordered and then received my food within five minutes. I ordered the Mapo tofu, which had the warm tofu taste with the Beaty ground beef sauce. It also had a little spice cake that I really enjoyed. I would say the main differences between their style on other Mapo tofu dishes I've had are the emphasis on the Szechuan pepper (it really lingers to the point of the Dandan noodle sensation) as well as it's oiliness. The service and the price are great factors for coming back, but I would probably explore other dishes the next time. Spent ~$12

Craving Chinese food, we saw this place on Yelp and found it in an outdated strip mall. Decor needs updating. The place was surprisingly crowded with several orders waiting for pickup on a Sunday. We liked the fish and pork dishes we ordered, but will probably get takeout next time.

My son and I were craving dumplings and came to try this place. Very quaint little restaurant in a typical strip mall. The ambiance is very humble, but we were immediately greeted with sincere joy by the staff when we walked in. The servers were very attentive and helpful when they noticed we were taking a particularly long time looking over the menu. There were so many great things to choose from that we just couldn't decide. We ended up ordering a ton of items so we could sample a large array of their menu. The dumplings are handmade and you can taste the love in them. You definitely have to try those! I was not impressed by the fried rice for its seasoning or the scallion pancakes because they were dry and too doughy. The orange chicken had a delicious sauce and flavor. The eggplant dish was so authentic and absolutely delicious reheated the next day when I was having my leftovers. Despite the couple dishes that didn't wow us, we would definitely return. The food was great, prices were decent, service was excellent for how friendly and welcomed we felt. Very authentic feel for Chinese food in this little place.

Small, cute and fun. Looks like this place is the hotspot around town, pretty busy for a Thursday night but we were able to get a table right away. Upon sitting down, before ordering had the cutest older couple sit down and start a conversation with us, as unconventional as this might be, it was welcomed as they told us how much they loved the food here. The staff was super nice, bringing utensils after figuring out quickly I cannot use chopsticks (I should learn) and keeping the drinks full. The chicken mushroom and bok choy had a wonderful flavor, especially enjoyed the mushrooms. Husband ordered the vegetable egg drop soup, perfect for a cold rainy night. Hope to be back soon!

This place is amazing my girlfriend brought me over here for my birthday lunch and this place is hidden treasure. The food is absolutely yummy for my tummy and it's only four minutes for my daughter's house so win-win for me. The service is excellent, I would highly recommend it.

This is one of my favorite Chinese restaurants in Phoenix. It is far from our house, but we often make the trip and we have never been disappointed. It is always fantastic, highly recommended!!

This was my first time here and I thoroughly enjoyed everything about this place. If you are a fan of pandas, you would love the decor here because they have everything imaginable that is panda based. And every so often the musical entertainer puts on a panda mask and sings for the crowd. Tonight was not one of those nights that we got to see her wear the panda mask however she did entertain us with many classic hits from Barbra Streisand, Carole King, Liza Minnelli, and many other popular standards that you have all come to love and enjoy throughout the years. She also gave us a bonus treat in having her niece Jennifer come up and sing a couple of 70s disco hits for us. As busy as the night was the service was pretty good and we were pleased. There were 24 of us in our group and we each got waited on without most respect and happiness. I ordered the chicken lo mein and really enjoyed it. That is usually my go to for most Chinese/Asian restaurants. I will have to come in on a day off and try their lunch special because it is reasonably priced whereas the dinner prices are more. TIP: they include your gratuity (tip) in on the price of your bill so you don't have to try and figure out what to tip the wait staff. There is also a separate tip jar for the entertainer. I will be back again as I said to try the lunch special and maybe a special night out again. This was fun and a great way to and a Friday eve (Thursday).
