Overall I seen this place a few times I went to the wharf and I can't believe I chose this over Boudin....the service is average, workers seem like they don't want to be there. The sprite was flat, thankfully they addressed it. The good, the clam chowder is not too bad. The clams are actually huge which I can respect. The downfall was the bread bowl was heated or toasted, such a bummer. Plain cold bread bowl with hot chowder. I will give the clam chowder bowl a 3/5. The crab chowder was terrible. It was super sweet. I had to put tobasco to make it flavorful. Another cold bread bowl. I give this 1.3/5 The saving grace is the the fish and chips. Fish was tender and juicy a the garlic fries were good. However the fish had so much oil it was almost biting into oil tenders. 3.7/5 Overall I won't come back and I will just stick to Boudjn.

This is a solid place in the fisherman's warf. We stopped here for a snack and some drinks between some attractions and really enjoyed it. There were several beers on tap and a full bar. The only (very small) complaint I have is that the bartender was also the server for the bar area, and he seemed a little overworked. He was super attentive, but it would have been better if he had some more help. He seemed to be having an issue with one of the mixers, and it was cool to see the attention he was paying to the quality of the drinks. We had a few beers and some of the garlic fries which were great. I do want to include one anecdote, the second bartender (the main guy got some help) was shaking a mix and splashed some of what he was making in our direction. Nothing got close to us but he was super apologetic and even offered us free beer, but we couldn't do that to the guy!

I really liked this spot! It is a nice outside restaurant with very quick service! We had a group of 6 and all of our food was ready within 10 minutes. I got the clam chowder which was very good! The bread was soft and crisp. It did not have bacon in it, which is perfect for me because I don't eat pork and it is hard to find that a lot. Another person in my group got a smash burger that she really enjoyed. She said it was juicy and a good size. The prices are a bit high, but that is expected given the touristy location. I would come back again and try other menu items if I were in the area.

My sisters and I were here recently last week on Saturday during an outing in SF. We came across here when we were trying to look for a lunch spot. Service was great, food was decent. We shared fish and chips and crab chowder. The fish and chips were pretty solid, good enough for me and my sisters to share. The crab chowder was a different story; as much as it looked good, the taste had a hint of San Francisco tapwater. At least we finished it though. The ambiance was pretty solid too. Not packed like other places around us. Overall, part of me might come back again.

So glad that The Chowder Hut is still open. Seeing a lot of restaurants closed on The Wharf nowadays. We made it simple this time around...Lobster Chowder and Lobster Sandwich Both were tasty and fed three of us. The sourdough bowl was so fresh and soft. I just started eating that with butter and I was satisfied. But that was only the beginning...Next came the lobster fest! The chowder had a nice, peppery kick to it. My only gripe is to leave out the corn. The lobster sandwich was also excellent and had a lot of lobster. My business partner and I had a few hours to burn and decided to drop by the wharf before leaving. I've walled by here many times but never stopped before. Today we had limited time so decided to make it a quick lunch. It was 11am on a Tuesday so it wasn't busy at all. The bartender is also the server and she was super helpful and friendly. We got our drinks (thankfully they have Coke products) quickly and ordered a few minutes later. The tables were pretty comfortable and surprisingly the chairs as well. It's pretty simple inside and the menu is pretty simple. I ordered the clam chowder and spicy fish sandwich. It comes with fries but I didn't want them. My partner ordered a chicken sandwich. The call chowder was pretty good. I liked that it was piping hot. Good flavor and I would order it again. The bread is real thick for the sandwich. I liked the bread and the fish was a thick cut. The breading was good but unfortunately no seasoning on the fish. A little salt and pepper even would go a long way. It wasn't bad but just would have been nice to be seasoned. I'd come back here though. It's a good deal for a quick bite to eat.

Since it was my first time in SF, my friends really wanted to take me to get a famous clam chowder bread bowl. Many locals had suggested the Chowder Hut and I'm glad they did! The place is a cute little spot by the Pier and is nearby Boudin. My friends and I ordered the clam chowder bread bowl which was $13.99 which wasn't too bad! Service was just ok in my opinion. The place wasn't too crowded but it was a little diffciult to get the attention of the staff at times. I had to walk up to them a few times and ask for napkins, to go boxes, etc. The clam chowder was good but my only complaint was that it was not hot at all. It was just warm which I did not like. Had it been hotter, it would have been 1000% better in my opinion. Place wise, this seemed like a chill place for people to grab a drink and food. However, the restrooms were disgusting. It's a public restroom located outside the restuarant and it was NOT clean.

Went inside. It was happy hour if you eat inside. Ordered the nachos and classy. Chowdee. the guacamole was delicious n fresh but the chips was cold. The clam chowder was good but small. Not sure what to think since ive only been there one time. The service was good and the atmosphere was acceptable.

My friends and I were busing fisherman's wharf and pier 39 area and got hungry along the way. I ordered the clam chowder which had the creamy texture I love. However the flavor did fall a hit short for me but the bread bowl from boudin made up for it. My friend ordered the calamari which came with fries and both were pretty crispy. The service was fairly quick and there's indoor and outdoor seating. I wouldn't go out of my way here but not bad for being around the area.

Maryori was an amazing server! Bowl of their Original Clam Chowder and lemonade was the best $20 I've spent in this city! Very touristy area yet many customers appeared to be local. I highly recommend this place - very chill, close to the water and good people working here.

Everything was good overall! The only thing was my garlic grilled shrimp , the garlic tasted a bit burnt, which made it slightly bitter. I'm not sure if that's how it's supposed to be prepared. I love my shrimp just wish the seasoning hadn't been burned

Line moved quickly and food was served just a few minutes after ordering! We sat outside but had heaters to keep us warm. Lots of construction happening next door but was paused for Super Bowl weekend. We got the clam chowder bowl and fish and chips. Soup and fish were average; great fries!

I'm not the biggest calamari fan, but it comes with a lot of calamari and it's pretty good as well. Onto the pasta, my favorite used to be the Spicy Rigatoni but the Shrimp Scampi is just perfect! It's so heart warming and heavy, it's such an interesting pasta. The shrimp is also very good and they provide a few pieces and it's not too much, or too little. The service is also great, they consistently check in to make sure you're helped and have everything you need. The environment is also very nice, the seating ranges from outside with or without heaters, inside at either tables or booths and also a bar. My personal favorites are either the booth, indoor table or outdoor seating on a sunny day. This place is will forever be an SF staple and I can't wait to celebrate more birthdays here.

The atmosphere here always sets a great mood for a celebration. The service was a bit of a mixed bag. When our waiter came over, I asked for some recommendations to help guide our choices, but was just met with a somewhat indifferent, "Well, what are you looking for?" It wasn't rude, but it felt a bit uninspired for a special night out. On the upside, the kitchen was relatively prompt. They did accidentally forget one of our items, but to their credit, they corrected it and brought it out incredibly fast once we mentioned it. Food-wise, everything was really good! We shared a great spread across the table: Chicken Piccata: Bright, savory, and perfectly tender. Lasagna: Rich, classic comfort food done right. Fettuccine Alfredo: Creamy, decadent, and delicious. Spicy Rigatoni: Had a fantastic kick and great texture. Overall, the food absolutely delivered, and it's a wonderful location. With just a tiny bit more warmth in the service department, it would have been a flawless 5-star evening. We'll definitely be back for the pasta!

What originally started as a disappointment became a huge blessing once we found the board room. Feet aching, sweaty, and tired we made our way to this bar. Immediately you could tell it's a local favorite, the ambiance was nice and a great spot to people-watch. There was a cup flipping event which was super fun to spectate, along side the rotating pictures of the bar's beloved pooches . We ordered 2 western burgers, 12 count bone-in wings (half bbq, half Hawaiian), and an appetizer of corn dogs, tater tots, bacon Mac & cheese bites, and mozzarella sticks. Later we also added boneless buffalo wings which were so tangy, well-seasoned, and HOT. The western bacon burgers were so delicious, crispy bacon, crispy onion rings, and some bomb.com bbq sauce. The wings were drowned in sauce (just how we like them) , the bbq was to die for and the Hawaiian had the perfect little kick of spice for our picky eaters. The appetizer platter was also fried to perfection, with the perfect crunch on the tater tots & corn dogs. The Mac & cheese bites & mozzarella sticks were perfectly cheesed, with an amazing cheese pull on the mozzarella sticks. Along with the food, my boyfriend and I ordered some drinks. I got a margarita and he got a Guinness. Both drinks were good, very standard and well served. The couple behind the bar were very funny and super kind to us being dazed after all the walking. On our way back down to SoCal my brother is still raving about the burgers, this is a MUST-STOP the next time we come up to San Francisco!!

The outdoor patio is definitely a blast for a summer day in SF, also converting to a free Tango class at 6:30 on Wednesday evening. We started with some special drinks as recommended by Ali, the most generous guy you've ever met. We got Japanese Artisan Gin Pomegranate Mint Martini and AB's Espresso Martini. They were so refreshing after we had to walk on some hills in 80degree weather in SF. After that, the appetizers we ordered came out with Caprese Salad & Mahmoud's Delicious Pork Ribs. The portion was huge for just appetizer. It's been a while for me to have that crispy baguette toasted with olive oil & vinegar, nothing could be better than that. The ribs were tender, the bonus point was definitely the sauce as it wasn't too sweet like the other places. You can't miss pizza in an Italian restaurant, so we ordered my favorite Crispy Prosciutto De Parma, Poached Pear. Prosciutto is my love so I'll just order it wherever I go if they have it on the menu. Super crispy, even though it's not as thin as I expected, I'd still order it again when we come back. It's served with a bowl of cheese powder and chili flakes so you can customize your pizza. The main entrees were definitely pasta and we just had our eyes bigger than our stomach. If you don't know what to order, ask Ali and he'll be more than happy to help you with all the recommendations, and even offer some alternatives for your pasta when the restaurant is not too crowded. My favorite was Pasta Dellacasa with Prawns added, mixing of all the sauces they have. It was so rich and I felt like no other pasta we had can be compared. They serve it hot and you can ask for as much cheese as you want for your pasta because they make it at the table for you. The place was really cool since the building was built over 100 years ago. Even the trees we were sitting next to are over 100 years old, which is pretty cool. You can even find the menu when the original place just opened, with pasta price ranged from $2-3.

Exceptionally crispy flaky and fantastic texture with the multiple layers. The crispy paella balls were also excellent, Very flavorful and what a nice slight crunch to their exterior. Unfortunately I was half disappointed by the rest of the food we ordered The flatbread was just alright, and I regretted we didn't do at least one of the add-ons for it as that likely would have improved it a lot. The albondigas were a lot to get through and I'm glad we were sharing the dish. They went well when paired with the other dishes as it was very one-note with getting through each of the meatballs. The crispy cauliflower had good flavor, but surprisingly were far more mushy than crispy. Red Window has a really nice spot on Columbus, great vibe and friendly staff each time I've visited. They have both interior and heated parklet /outdoor seating. However, the food really feels like there's a only a few standouts on the menu and the rest aren't really bringing more to the table. Peek at other reviews before you go to get an idea of the hits on the menu.

While we were outside, we made friendly conversation with a bartender. I overheard another bartender come out for a cigarette and call him by name, so I jokingly used his name while asking if we could come in. At that point, the bartender became extremely aggressive, got in my face, and said, "Say his name one more f*cking time," repeatedly. I was genuinely confused and asked what she meant. Shortly after, a friend who was already inside came out simply to check on us and see why we were still outside. The bartender then told her to "get the f*ck out of my face" and instructed staff not to let her or us in, even though my friend hadn't done anything wrong. It was so confusing and extremely inappropriate. The behavior was unnecessarily hostile and disrespectful. This bar does not treat its customers with basic courtesy, and that bartender showed zero professionalism or customer service skills.

Totally surprised me for bar food but it was tasty and a great price! The vibes are casual and more sports bar vibes but I really liked it, a great chill place for good drinks and yummy bar bites!
