Highlights: They have a menu window where you can actually see the dishes on their menu before you order. I thought the Grilled Fish Tacos were ok. After having a nice dinner from Sabellas, we decided to sit here by the fire and enjoy a nice Irish coffee and some hot chocolate for the kids. It's really nice with the Adirondack chairs, plenty of room for the kids. It's definitely windy and cold, however the fireplace just makes it so enjoyable. Franco was the bartender, and he took care of us really quickly and he seemed very nice. What we ordered: 5 x Hot chocolate 2 x Irish coffee Extra Bailey's Irish cream to add to the coffee. This is really a target place for us now. Comfortable seating, lots of room, the prices are OK for downtown San Fran at the wharf. Decided to take a stroll down the piers after managing my way through the crowds at Pier 39. I often go to Boudin for my clam chowder, but decided to try other ones around the area. Happen to run into this one first. Place has great reviews on Yelp, so told myself "Why not?" - plus, I've never really had disappointing chowder within the pier. We decided to order the crab chowder -- I mean scratch that. They ran out of it. I mean to say... we decided to settle with their regular clam chowder in a sourdough bowl. I have to say, the price was about $12 for what I saw, two scoops of chowder. Not bad, I guess. Chowder wasn't so bad. It had all the basics in it, but didn't really give me the "OH MAN I HAVE TO COME HERE AGAIN" type of feel - something chowders from Monterey Bay usually give me. Such a cool place to sit and eat after walking around the wharf. The food is more affordale here then in the other spots around the wharf. I had a clam chowder in a bread bowl and their fish tacos. So the reviews didn't look great but I decided to give it a try. I like that they have visuals for you in front. It definitely helps! I wanted a Dungeness crab and they had it at the current Mkt price $36.96 so I decided to try it since it was cheaper then the other restaurants I was looking at. I could tell by the visual how they cooked it so figured why not. I was very pleased with my crab!! It comes with 2 Boudin rolls which I took home with me.
