Christo's is in the best location when it comes to Alki beach. We opted to sit outside. We got the Greek sampler to share - it came with standard cut tomatoes, pickled sour peppers (the yellow ones you can buy from a can), some pretty good quality salami, some lamb, Pita and Feta, tzatziki sauce. The Greek sampler was quite big in size which was what I would expect from a $20+ dollar dish, they were also very generous with the pita (more than enough to eat it with everything on the plate. The tzatziki has a strong Greek yogurt taste which is nice. The yellow pickled peppers was extremely sour and my guess is that they do not make any of the ingredients for the sampler instead with exception of possibly the tzatziki. They also used not a very quality oil with the platter (definitely not extra virgin olive oil)z the waitress recommended the chicken so we have it on the try, it came on a wooden stick so it was a bit hard to remove if you did not use your hands. The chicken was very average nothing special, the seasoning okay but nothing that blew me away, the chicken was not dry but also not juicy. The Greek salad was just lettuce, tomato and feta with a very sour sauce , we were surprised to not see olives in the salad. The salad dressing was very sour. The clam chowder was a pretty good chowder you can take small potatoes and some clams. Our bill came out to be $58 after tax and tip which is quite high so you are definitely paying for the beach side view (if this wasn't for the beach I wouldn't pay more than $40 for this meal). The staff did not let us use their bathrooms and told us to use the filth porta-potties across the street which is rude for a paying customer when they have bathrooms read more

If you are planning to eat here on Sunday for breakfast, just a warning, it'll be over an hour wait for your food. But unless you order a pizza, it should come out faster. I arrived here at 12:45 pm thinking the rush was over. I was wrong. I ordered. 15 mins pass. The waitress said my food is coming right up. Well it took another 40 mins. I kept asking her, "where's the order?" They apparently ran out of hashbrowns. There was a couple that showed up after me, ordered a pizza, and left. And I still didn't get my food. This was my first time here and I wasn't lucky, I guess. I just ordered an omelet, toast and hashbrowns. So unless you have lots of time to kill, then come on in. read more

Food: Good Service: Appalling After a long day of exploring Seattle with our families, we decided to stop in for some delicious food with a beautiful sunset view. Christo's seemed to check those boxes. We requested to sit facing the ocean, where there was a large table to accommodate us. The server, albeit reticently, agreed. I walked my nieces to the restroom when I overheard our server being sarcastic and complaining to the other staff "the customer's always right". Then, once we were seated, our server asked if she could leave the pitcher at the table for us to serve ourselves. This was inconvenient for multiple reasons We had had children at the table, and there was not enough space with the appetizers and plates being out. (Plus, who leaves a pitcher of water on a table with kids?) Next, our pizzas came out; which take about 20-30 mins in the oven, however, our salads were not out yet. My cousin politely asked about them, to which our server rudely replied, "I only have two hands." Everyone could sense the rude service at that point, so we skipped dessert and rushed out. Absolutely recommend this spot! The customer Service was outstanding. In town for the Alki Beach Sunset Run, stopped in for something lite. Our waitress recommended the happy hour salad with homemade ranch blue cheese dressing. It was perfect hit the spot and delicious. Denise was our waitress, super friendly and made us feel at home. Came back on Saturday morning for breakfast and Denise was on shift! More excellent customer service, delicious breakfast, portion is large enough you could feed two people! This place could use some work. It is a great spot and the view is wonderful. We went in Last Saturday as we wanted to enjoy the beautiful day at the waterfront. It did not look too busy although Alki was very busy. We got a table and waited a bit to get our drink order in. Our waitress seemed like she would rather be somewhere else, no smile. The kids had crayons to play with while we waited, and we got a cocktail. The drinks were good. We finally got asked to take our order, simple really, ceaser salad, kids had chicken strips, and some fried cod and chips with a cup of chowder. 40 minutes after we ordered we asked why the long wait as there was not a lot of food coming out of the kitchen. We were told that since the deck is full the food typically takes an hour or more to come out. In that 40 minutes I had to walk to the bar and order another drink as our waitress never stopped at our table again. If they had informed us of this we may have just grabbed the drink and left as we wanted to spend more time outside. The food arrived an hour later. It was ok, I couldn't understand why a salad would take an hour or my soup didn't come out before the meal. The cod looked like something I could by at Costco, and for the price I would have thought they freshly bread it there. It may have been the day, and our waitress said it's the first busy day of the year so they were figuring things out. I would have thought they would know by now that a nice day brings people to Alki? I will not be going back, unless it's to grab a drink because the gentleman behind the bar was great. Some of the best food I've ever had hands down. At a Greek restaurant I was not expecting to have the best buffalo wings ever. I also got the beef/lamb gyro in which every bite my mouth exploded with flavor, great meat to topping on the gyro. My friends order a pizza and even that was just mouth watering to look at and even better eating it. Finished off my dinner with the green fries which were hand cut perfect French fries highly recommended. We stumbled upon this place and LOVED their brunch. The kids meals were massive and we let our twins split one. So even though it was a little expensive for a kids meal, it was a fair price given the amount of food. I had the 3 eggs meal and did egg whites scrambled with cheese. Christos could be the setting for a classic 80's sitcom. You've got the big Greek family that run the joint, cute waitresses, a small bar packed with regulars(like the older couple I always see there wearing Hawaiian shirts) and wacky customers. Like for example last night there was a very large group mostly filled with puffy, aging frat boys who kept talking about strip clubs and that ugly broad they banged after doing two beer bongs and a fifth of Jack Daniels. There's definitely character here, but the food is good too. Mostly Greek Pizza which is a little thicker than standard pizza. But they also have Gyros, Souvlaki, subs and pastas. For pasta you choose the type of noodle, the typce of sauce and the type of topping which is kind of cool. They also do breakfast on weekends with portions so big, you'll want to sleep the rest of the day. read more

In hindsight I should have gone for the platter with salad as it was about the same food and $2 less. That said, my wife thinks I got more meat. I am pretty sure I got half a pita though. We were looking for somewhere to grab breakfast on our way out to Olympic National Park on our anniversary trip and found this spot not too far from our West Seattle Airbnb. We had found another spot a bit farther down but they were too crowded for us to sit anywhere so we came on over. The coffee was great, food was delicious, and prices were reasonable. This place has the same name as an old favorite diner from my college town in Indiana. So it was a hopeful sentimental try. Different food, ambience, and price from my old place. But family friendly. Humongous booth seats (and other seating). I'm on the keto-train right now and did fine with the lamb skewers and Greek salad. They let me have "extra salad" instead of the pita bread which was appreciated. Gyro and Greek fries looked good. My 6 yr old was happy with his cheese pizza. (He's always 50/50.) Grill was just being fired up, but the place was warm, clean, and hot water for tea and hit coffee was in the ready! Then the neighborhood began to fill the place up! A Greek mom and pop dinner. People and service were good. The menu was extremely overpriced 18 for fish and chips. Fish was good the fries were seasoned terribly to much salt on some and no salt on others. Gyro salad was good and mozzarella stick were amazing. The down fall of this place is not not bad food, but the price for the quality and expectations of the food. All in all ehhh can get same thing down the road for 10 bucks instead of 20. read more

However, waited 30 minutes for a drink, then an hour for 2 out of 3 entrees, which came out luke warm at best, then had to wait an additional 15 minutes for the third entree. My second drink was 20 minutes after that. The tables around us got their food first, even though they were seated 20 minutes after us. Nothing was said, no one apologized, waitress didn't explain why the wait was so long. The bill was then presented at full price after sitting at the table for 2 hours and 15 minutes. Walking in Alki on a busy sunny Sunday, we chose Christo's by default, since they could seat us immediately. They have outside, inside and upstairs outdoor seating. We chose to sit inside, where we could clearly see the beach and people watch. Little did we know, we would also be entertained by the owners of this establishment. The matriarch sat at the table next to us, we watched as she looked over the restaurant, keeping the employees on their toes, making sure all customers were being served. One of her sons tended bar and was actively running drinks to clientele. Before we left, we had a chance to speak with her, only to find out that she and her husband had owned this restaurant for 20 years, she told us her husband and another son were in the kitchen cooking as well. This matriarch takes obvious pride and joy of her establishment, making sure her customers are being well taken care of. There is some yelling by owners, as if they were home and not in public. read more
