Rude owner, awful service. Place is pretentious and there's nothing in Brookline, NH so this place is WAY overrated. We got really bad service, one families hot meal came out before our cold meal (sandwiches) and we ordered first. Complained to the owner who started to deny that my recounting of what was happening was wrong until, to her credit, the waitress informed him that she didn't put the order in right away and that's why it happened, then he was apologetic but he was going be a jerk about it until his waitress stepped in. Honestly, this is a place with mediocre food that caters to neighborhood Karens that want their early evening wine. It's not a real restaurant. read more

Made a quick trip back to NE to check on the old homestead, been to Chrysanthi's several times so I figured it would be a good choice for a quick dinner. Sat at the bar, Nikki the bartender took my order promptly and poured me a great generous Jameson on the rocks. . . Just what the doctor ordered on a cold night. Me and my work troupe stopped here after working/being on the road since 7am, and we were met with incredible service from the get! the space is beautiful and clean, especially when you pass so many gas station 'yum yum' stops. such a breath of fresh air! The sweet potato fries, and more importantly, the EGGPLANT FRIES are SCRUMPTIOUS! veggies were fresh, fries were crispy, and it was absolutely what we needed to boost our spirits and fill our bellies! check them out, they're definitely worth the stop :) read more

My wife and I have come here many times and have enjoyed it very much but something has changed. Management? We asked to sit outside because we could see it was open and they said we could but couldn't use the umbrella due to wind. After sitting there for several minutes without as much as a slight breeze she be grudgingly opened it. Not quite fine dining, but definitely more than just a family restaurant: - they have ketchup on the tables, but it's a nice clean bottle of Heinz - the soda glasses are plastic, but they look brand new, and are set on nice Fat Bike coasters - the garden salad is mostly lettuce, but it's not just iceberg and it's obviously freshly chopped I had grilled salmon, which usually comes with rice and veggies, but I got a double order of veggies, no rice. The salmon was cooked perfectly and the broccoli, carrots, cauliflower and squash were slightly crunchy and great. Hubby had chicken marsala, which he enjoyed, and since I got his mushrooms, I can say that the sauce actually tasted like marsala sauce and was very good. Service was friendly and fast and our waitress checked on us during dinner and brought the check promptly. Overall a good experience. Only downside was that the dining room was noisy, even though it wasn't full. They have some acoustic panels on the ceiling, but I think they need more. read more

Absolutely delicious. I can't say that I've had many great culinary experiences in New Hampshire, but then again - I've only been 3 times so maybe my negativity is unfounded. That being said, this does feel like a diamond in the rough. Such great variety of hearty soups and salads, delectable pizzas (we had a thin crust with ricotta, spinach, and artichoke) and all sorts of pasta options. Open during construction! Warm staff and comfort food on a chilly late fall day. Stopped in on a Wed for a late lunch, craving something different to the usual burger, sandwich, pizza or taco lunch. Two other small parties were just finishing up. I was alone in an empty dining room for much of my lunch. The staff was friendly and attentive. The mousaka was a little pricey for lunch but it was a significant portion size. I have no idea if it was authentic but I enjoyed it! I thought the Loft rolls were a bit expensive at $35 but everything else is going up too. Shocked at the size of these Lobster rolls. Half a pound of lobster meat in a torpedo roll. We had them cater a party over the weekend for 40+ people. They were extremely easy to deal with over the phone to plan the menu. They offered to delivery at whatever time we needed. They didn't demand immediate payment, were very wonderful over the phone. The day of - he arrived on time with the food. Brought it in, set up where we needed it, included serving utensils as well. Tried to pay with a card and were told to 'not worry about it' that night - he told us to enjoy our party and call in the morning for payment. The food was amazing! Everything was delicious! Five stars across the board. First time visit as we were in the area and it appeared good on Google. We were there around 3:30 so it wasn't busy. We were greeted in a very friendly manner and chose our own table for two at the back. The dining area was really clean. Waitress was prompt, friendly and attentive to us and all the patrons she was serving. When asked about substitutions she made suggestions and stated it would be no problem in the kitchen. Everything came out better than expected, hot, full of flavor and presented beautifully.
