We stopped in for an early dinner on Friday, 5/21 - place was hopping! Lots of happy customers in the dining room and out on the deck and at the bar, I am so glad we got there early! The food was worth the trip, amazing spanakopita, authentic greek salad, chicken-lemon-rice soup, and then the entrees were out of this world. Service was excellent, we never had to ask for more water or anything - our waitress got a good tip and she was just wonderful all on her own. I had the sweet of the day - a strawberry hunk of cake that was perfect. We will go back again and again, even ordered a pizza to go home with which was great cold and heated up the next day. My husband and I, now living in Amherst from the Midwest, have passed this restaurant many times and yesterday, I checked the menu and realized it had great items on the menu. We went today and were so pleased. We started with the Haddock cake appetizer and my husband had the lamb kebabs and I had the baked Haddock. Both were suburb. Kept hearing about this restaurant. Finally made it and it was excellent. Started off with a dirty spicy martini, my wife had cold beer. For apps zucchini chips and calamari. Both cooked perfectly and served hot. For dinner I had the Creamy Chicken Carbonara and bride had the Chicken Mediterranean Salad. We shared Baklava for dessert. What a diamond in the rough find!! On our way back from a day at Mason, NH, through the help of YELP , we stumbled upon this gem. The food, service, and hospitality was excellent!! You can order higher end full meals, or pizza, calzones, and salads. For those looking for lighter meal, there's panini , sub sandwiches, wraps. Appetizers choices look amazing too. Gluten-free choices as well. Our waitress recommended to look at their dessert menu- great suggestion. They have a special dessert can't remember if weekly or monthly, but think the latter. We were in the area for an event and found this restaurant. We needed gluten free and their web site indicated good options. We were seated immediately and our waitress was fantastic. The service was excellent. The food was very good and well priced. We had the thin crust pizza, steak tip sub, gluten free Mac and cheese and seafood chowder. The only surprise was the price of dessert. My son got the extreme chocolate cake and my daughter the gluten free chocolate tort (both ala mode). These two items cost about $25 with tax and tip. The Averill House Vineyard crew works hard and when they are hungry this is the perfect treat. I say treat as each meal is as savory as the next. Seafood, Pizza and Pasta all delicious. We've tried this place a few times since they're so close, but honestly it's very mediocre and extremely over priced. Most recently we got Chicken piccata that was bland and average, fish and chips which was decent but the fries were soggy, moussaka that I liked but I have nothing to compare it to, a Cesar salad and avgolemono soup that tasted like lemony chicken noodle. This dinner was $70, for that price the portions should be giant OR the quality of the good should be phenomenal. Overall: it's overpriced for mediocre food, but it's also pretty much the only restaurant in town, so I guess it can get away with high prices. read more

I Eat here often. Good pizza and calzones, seafood is good, pasta dishes are large and delicious. Eggplant fries are awesome. I've had several burgers and sandwiches that are are subpar and that's the only reason I'm giving 4 stars. I've only been let down a handful of times which is expected when you frequent a restaurant. Went once, the place was dead. We ordered cold sandwiches and waited 30 mins before we got up and left. We left because a family of four came in after we were seated and got their hot food before us. Either tells me the waitress was really bad or the hot food was pre-made... whatever the reason, I won't be going back. This is the closest restaurant to my house, so I'm glad it's a good one. The food here is above average, and some menu items are great. The corn chowder with bacon is worth the drive alone. That said, you won't be shocked by the amazingness of the food. You also won't be shocked by the higher prices at close restaurants like Giorgios. Long story shot, good solid food and great prices. All that said, the reason I'm happy to five star these guys is the management. Every time we've been in there and had even a minor issue the management has swooped in to solve our problem. Here's an example, I had a glass for my beer that smelled like it had not been rinsed after cleaning with a harsh cleaner. The manager (pretty sure he was the owner) explained that the dishwashers were somewhat overzealous in application of cleaner. He then grabbed my glass and went in the back and hand washed it for me. A last note is that they are set up real well for snowmobiles. They're right off a major artery for snowmobile trails and they actually advertise in said trails. In the winter you can drive right up park your machine outside and make use of the hangers for helmets and snow gear. Good food, great prices, and some of the best service in NH. Very nice place. Simple, pleasant decor, loads of customers this Saturday night -- dining inside, outside on the deck, or stopping in to pick up takeout orders. They're doing a very good job at this restaurant. Went with another couple, and I had Oven Baked Manicotti; it was very tasty, as was the garlic bread that accompanied it. Another person had Fried Sea Scallops (he is the former owner of a popular fish market in the Nashua area), and he liked the scallops just fine...his portion might have been a little small, though, because he finished what the rest of us left of our meals!). My husband enjoyed his Chicken Broccoli Alfredo...he kept looking for the broccoli, and I had to keep telling him it was smaller pieces that were mixed in with the alfredo sauce (I like that presentation better than chunks of broccoli). The other entree was "Spinach and Mozzarella Ravioli Tossed in Olive Oil, Parmesan Cheese and Herbs," and our friend enjoyed her dish very much. All in all, we enjoyed our first visit to this restaurant, and I would definitely go back -- especially a little later in the season when it's warm enough to enjoy their pleasant deck (they do need umbrellas at the tables). read more

This restaurant was recommended to me a couple of years ago, and I just made it to Brookline NH with my husband, sister and B-I-L to sample their lunch fare. Boy, were we wowed! The butternut squash was exquisite; the sauce light and flavorful with a hint of sweetness. The chicken, tomato and spinach made it a filling, satisfying meal. My sister had the fried clams, and they were also excellent; perfect breading with a taste that brought us right back to the ocean! B-I-L had the haddock with risotto, and he raved about the flavors. It was a large enough portion to finish for dinner. Marcus, the chef, came out to greet us, and was happy to hear how impressed we were by our meals. The waitress, Van, managed to serve the entire dining room, while taking time to talk to us about a recent trip to Greece, her home country. I can't recommend this place highly enough.
