Went here for lunch on a Sunday. We arrived at about 11am (1 hour before opening) and there was already a line of people waiting to add themselves to the waitlist. Waitlist opened at 11:30am. After we added ourselves to the waitlist, we went next door to walk around 99 Ranch until we got the text to come back. We had Rachel and Viet helping us at our table. Both were exceptional at their jobs and were very friendly. We didn't feel entirely confident with cooking so it was nice that Rachel and Viet helped cook for us. In terms of the food, it was okay. After a while, all the meat tasted about the same. They restaurant recommends the gold tier menu but we honestly could have been satisfied by just the silver tier. A bonus is they have an awesome selection of sides and drinks in the back. They had curry, rice, veggies, milk tea, slushies, soda, and more. Try not to fill yourself up with these in the beginning of the meal. But definitely recommend getting the cola slushy as dessert. Heard so much about this place from a friend who had been to the SoCal location. The wait was expected to be long. During Labor Day Sunday, five of us got in line at 11am (1 hour ahead). To our surprise, about 30 people were already in line. Checkin started a bit before opening at noon. We were happy to still made it to the first group's seating. 90 minutes time limit to eat. We got the Gold Selection which seemed pretty decent already. Really appreciate the excellent service from Leon and Rex. Drink selection is pretty expansive with soda, slushy, hot tea, two types of milktea (green and black). I noticed what looks like an ice cream machine but didn't check that out. Decent quality meats arrived promptly after ordering. Staff even helped us cook some of the meats. I came here last night for dinner. It's a nice interior. But came home with food poisoning... diarrhea and vomitting all late last night into today's afternoon. I'm not sure what it is but it may be the cross contamination of the raw meat and well done items. Side dishes area was extremely lacking. Only the seaweed salad/edamame was okay. I'm not a fan of the kimchi or orka.... Was nasty. The tom yum broth can be better, there's no coconut cream taste to it. Stating it opens at 11 for lunch to seat 3 rounds. The waitlist will then close and reopen at 4PM for dinner. And lunch waitlist does not equal dinner waitlist. well i came at exactly 4PM and the waitlist had 10+ i asked the server how is that possible and he said "we've been open all day" when i mentioned the post on instagram he said "im sorry I'll tell my manager". Finally got a chance to try this new location and all I can say is, it did not disappoint. Our waiter Leon was so attentive and patient with us. Had an amazing time! My friend and I got the Golden tier. 100% worth the price. Meats were amazing and the all the specialty order A5 menu items were extremely worth the price. On top of all that we had amazing service through our server Rachel! Extremely helpful friendly and grilled the meat to perfection. We ended up signing up for two memberships and chose the gold tier menu. The meal was incredible. We loved that everything was bite-sized so we could pace ourselves with the super-rich Wagyu. On top of that, they offer AYCE nigiri, carpaccios, sodas, milk tea, a veggie/fruit bar, and light apps. Our total came to $280 for four adults before tax. We went at 3:30 on a Thursday and there was only one reservation ahead of us so we only had to wait about ten minutes. We got the diamond tier menu and the meat was phenomenal. It really was better than other bbq places I have been to. I did miss the Korean side dishes though! Also, no alcohol yet. Our server Khoa was top tier. Very friendly and helpful. Was super excited that a Chubby Cattle opened up in the Bay Area, because I've been wanting to try it for a while!! My group that has been to the Vegas location mentioned that this new location was a bit smaller and had less on the menu, but the food quality was about the same! We opted for the Diamond tier set, and the quality of meat was definitely worth the extra $. I'm the happiest when there's enough variety in my food, and I ate so much that I wanted to throw up. The 90 minute time limit definitely went by fast, but our waiter, Viet was so fantastic and made sure we were well taken care of. Overall, I'm super happy with our experience! I think it was definitely a little pricey but it's what I expected coming in, so can't complain. I'm sorry...I really wanted to like this place but it was veryyyy hyped up. Not worth the wait of 3 hours, even if there wasn't a wait I probably wouldn't come back or recommend. Very underwhelming with the quality of the meats, and the A5 is not AYCE, the self serve area can get wayy to crowded, you're literally bumping backs or shoulders with other customers and staff, I didn't feel the cleanliness of the self serve area and overall not the greatest experience for me. Also such a small selection of veggies and side from self serve I wanna give it a second chance in hopes things improve. But for now the food was okay... I think the best thing was the short rib maybe but even the other kitchen items weren't the best to me, and the kimchi had a off taste to it. This was a second attempt after trying to come on a weekend, big mistake! Even on the weekend checking in around open time will get you seated near 4 PM. This time it was mid week and we were in line to be in another line around 11:20 AM once doors were opened we got seated about 12:07 PM. The buffet section was a little cramped. There you'll find the vegetable, fruit, sauce and drink section. Food was amazing, we couldn't keep track of which meat was what but overall everything was delicious. We left the premium meats for last since we wanted to savor it and not ruin it by burning it luckily our server Rex was kind enough to do the cooking for us PERFECTLY. That was so kind of Rex and we appreciated that so much for making the experience that much better. In all honesty I think we would have ruined it if we cooked it haha.
