Service was good but the food was average. The bill was $75 and we left hungry. I wouldn't go back. They also try to sell a membership for 60 a year to get a discount as well which is wild. Honestly I'm just leaving this review because there is no way this place deserves 4.5 stars and I don't want someone else to make the same mistake I did and leaving disappointed like me. Edit: I'm leaving my previous review above for posterity. I originally thought I simply had a bad experience because it wasn't my cup of tea. I tried to give this place the benefit of the doubt and assumed it was small and locally owned. It turns out this is a massive company run in a very shady way. The $60 a year membership is clearly more about revenue than the guest experience. Half the positive reviews on here are almost certainly fake. You can see that they were coerced in order to not be charged the $6 in fees for spices and charcoal. This is less a restaurant and more a bait and switch scam. I hope Yelp comes on here and flags this business or something because these are some incredibly shady business practices. They claim to be selling A5 wagyu. I work in a Japanese steakhouse that actually sells A5 wagyu from Japan. I can tell you with certainty that what they are serving is not A5 wagyu. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. read more

The food was pretty good, the skewers are self-serve so you can eat as much or as little as you'd like. The decor is cool enough though it can get loud with the fan above the grill. Not happy about the extra fees, but glad they were up front about them. Service wise they're helpful enough. You gotta be sure to stay on top of things on your phone. read more

Fun and interesting concept! It can be quite overwhelming if you haven't done something like this before. The place is still in it's soft opening state so there's a lot of kinks that need to be ironed out / feels kind of unorganized. Felt like most of the time here was either 1) waiting for more trays for skewers or 2) waiting in line for to get skewers. The wagyu skewers were my favorite of the bunch! They are tasty but there's only a few pieces of meat on each skewer. I would come back and give this place another try before deciding on a final review. read more

This place has good food and a unique process of barbecuing your own meat. I recommend all the wagyu cuts and chicken. Being adventurous will go a long way as well. The downside is that the heat and ventilation isn't very well managed so hopefully they can figure that out. Unique experience, heavily self service, grabbing your own skewers as you go, which each have about 4 small pieces of meat on them for $1.20 each. Fairly good variety in skewers options. It does not appear any of the meat is pre-marinated but there are some spices at the table which did result in good flavor. Additional menu items available to be ordered from the kitchen using QR code at table, we purchased the seaweed salad which was good, as well as waygu fried rice which was dry and bland. Place was great when they first opened. However, quality of service has rapidly declined my last few visits, to the point of being abysmal. We came in on a Saturday night (1/3), and they had their Yelp waitlist posted. We joined and went outside to wait for the confirmation text. An hour passed by, and we began to get confused, as the list hadn't moved up at all. We walked in, and were asked how many. We told the two young girl workers with black hair that we were on the waitlist and they began to snicker and laugh as they realized they even had a waitlist going. They sat us right away, and then they started calling the 6 parties in front of us, all while laughing and finding the situation hilarious. That meal went by with no real issues. It did take an extremely long time to get the bill, even though we pressed the button and tried to flag down any employee walking by multiple times. I went in again on 1/11. Again, service was terribly slow, and took FOREVER to get our bill. Our grill was empty, drinks empty, we were all sitting back. I understand the workers here don't know 100% when you are finished, because you can grab your own skewers. But every time I complain about our bill being impossible to get, I assure you, reader, that our body language very obviously communicated that we were done. I went in today (1/14) and really hit my last straw with this place. The male server with short hair, and glasses gives HORRIBLE service. Even the tables next to my party were not happy yet he still had the audacity to roll his eyes and scoff anytime we managed to flag him down to tell him we were missing an item we ordered. We were falsely charged with a soju combo(which we DID NOT order) and instead of checking with us when he dropped it off at our table, he slammed it onto our table and left as soon as he set it down, we didn't even have a chance to correct him. When it was time to pay our bill, the table beside us was ready to pay way before us, attempted to flag down a server multiple times. The two female servers (the masculine one with short hair and a mask, and the other girl always wears a bun) looked at them and began to laugh and continue to not do their job. When the table beside us called out again, the masked one snapped at them and walked over sarcastically exclaiming, "yes, yes what do you want?" As if they weren't waiting for somebody to notice them for at least 10 minutes. When they checked out, my friend attempted to get the aforementioned male server's attention, just for him to shove his hand in her face saying, "wait." We've BEEN waiting. Why put a service button if you're never going to check??? When confronted about the false soju combo price, he repeatedly said "the beer comes with the soju" which is fine IF we even ordered it! We NEVER ordered it, we hadn't even touched it since he brought it to us. I've come here almost weekly since open and I'm sad to say as a regular, that service is awful. One worker, a taller, softer looking man with reddish/brown hair is amazing. He is so awesome. I adore him but everyone else can go. I cannot stress how awful service is. Food is good. I wonder if you could fit two charcoal grills into the old recessed kbbq grill. read more
