    Gluten free item list

It's a buffet so expect a buffet experience. I always love the salad bar, scones and rolls. Husband loved the lasagna they had this time. Was able to get a gluten free item list for my daughter. Was happy she had a good amount of options to pick from.

What do you do when everyone one in your family wants something different for dinner? You can cook four separate meals OR you can drive your butts over to a buffet that will satisfy them all! My family and I have been frequent diners at the Draper location and always have a great experience. The variety of food is terrific and is kept hot and fresh. The service is good as well-used plates are cleared quickly and staff is generally friendly. We love that the choice is ours at Chuck A Rama!

It was very filling and I would go back. The selection was adequate and most of it was very edible with some of it being very good.

We went for Mexican Night and loved it so much that we came back again for Italian Night. As someone who grew up going to HomeTown Buffet, this felt like the homemade version of that experience comforting, fresh, and made with care. Everything we tried was delicious. Italian Night was just as impressive, with favorites like lasagna, spaghetti, Alfredo pasta, meatballs. I love their fries and pizza lol. The dessert selection was amazing too, there was so much variety, like their rice puddinf. The staff was friendly, the restaurant was clean, and the food was consistently great both visits. Honestly, I wish we had a Chuck-A-Rama in California. We'd be regulars! If you're in Utah and looking for a buffet with homemade comfort food and plenty of options, this place is definitely worth a visit.

You don't have the pallet for it. The sweet and sour sauce is just sour. The fried rice has no flavor. The eggrolls tastes like they came from a frozen box and was fried. Shall I keep going? Your salad bar could use a little more variety choices. I would love to see beets, mushrooms, and baby corn. The seafood salad used to have more imitation crab and is now mostly celery. The monkey bread is good when it's fresh. Lately, it seems like the rolls don't proof enough before baking and they turn out flat and tough. One thing they nail every time is their fresh baked rolls. They are always fluffy and buttery. Another won is the turkey, which is always moist and flavorful. My last complaint is I would love to have a PIECE of fried chicken that's not the size of a half chicken. These pieces are HUGE AND DRY. Both fried and baked chicken have good flavors. I just wish they were smaller, juicy pieces. Some nights are better than others. You can't beat the value you get here. Just not on Tuesday nights.

OK, first of all-let's set expectations. This is a buffet that caters to folks on a budget....and…read morelikely with children. This isn't the place to come to get tasty, high quality cuisine, but to feed a lot of hungry people at a low cost. Once you are aligned with that, then you'll be much happier. There are three main stations: salad bar, pizza and pasta. You can stuff your face until you can't stuff anymore, which is appealing to lots of folks, hence the idea of a buffet. And during peak times, they are pretty good about keeping the items fresh and restocked. In non-peak times, however, expect that the food is sitting under a heat warmer for a while. And I passed on the salad bar when I noticed that the lettuce mix was wilted beyond what I am willing to eat. I don't usually gravitate toward dessert pizza, but my partner coaxed me into trying the cinnamon roll one and I fell in love. It was actually really good and I found myself craving more later that night. She was super excited about the oreo one. Service is a little hit and miss...since it's a buffet, you only really see staff when they restock food or occasionally clear your plates from the table. I don't think they really go out of their way to interact with customers much. They don't offer to refill drinks or carry on conversation with you. Overall, if you're ok with bland food and a very family friendly place (read-potential for sticky fingers on every surface) you'll probably be fine. Save me a slice of that cinnamon roll pizza.

My husband and kids were really wanting pizza and remembered we used to go to Pizza Pie Cafe often…read morewhen we lived on this side of town. We were pretty disappointed in almost every aspect unfortunately with our recent visit. After we paid, we found our seat. This was where it began because most available spots were dirty with crumbs and grease everywhere including the seats. We shrugged it off and went for the buffet area. We had a very tough time finding a plate that was (or at least appeared to be) clean. We found plates with many different chunks and stains of food. Again, we shrugged it off and grabbed the cleanest ones. The salad bar had a good variety to choose from. Although the two salad options were a bit welted. I am gluten free and ordered a made to order pizza which I have to say was very tasty and the best part of the experience. My husband and kids grabbed the regular pizza. They said each flavor was hit or miss depending on how long they've been sitting on the shelves. Some being pretty good while others a bit rough. I skipped the pasta because I'm not a huge fan of theirs but my husband and kids picked some up. They all said that it was just okay. What ruined the visit for us was watching, who I'm assuming was the manager, "clean". He would lift some of the food options from the buffet and use a wet rag to fling all the drippings and droppings into the whole the food containers would rest in. Not seeming to care if any of that would be flung into the surrounding food options. This instantly ruined our experience and we decided it was time to go. Dirty seats, poor food quality, mediocre service, and poor cleanliness. I know it's tough finding people who actually care and want to work but I think it would be very beneficial to hire a better manager and get that place back to a least what it once was.

We haven't been to Pizza Pie Cafe in years and decided to come here for lunch on a Saturday. I…read morenoticed there was a check in offer on Yelp for a free medium drink so we planned to use it. When we went to use the Yelp check in offer the employee said they don't take them and another employee also agreed and said they don't take them. Strange. We found a booth in the corner and made our way over to pick out our pizza and pasta. They were completely out of garlic knots and they never did bring out more. We were there about 45 min so that was a little disappointing. They did have their cheese bread and kept that one coming out so I just stuck with that. The cheese bread was really good, especially dunked in ranch! The pasta is fun, you can pick from different types and you can get either a half or full size order each time. Sadly, I feel like the sauce for the pasta was watery and didnt really stick to the pasta. It also lacked flavor and tasted almost like nothing. I tried the meat marinara and the carbonara sauce and both didn't really taste like much. The best pizza they had was the Hillbilly, which is basically a meat lovers pizza. It was hot and fresh with lots of toppings. They had a mac and cheese pizza and this one was just okay. All the other ones I tried really didn't taste like much and the bread to topping ratios were off. The dessert pizzas were just okay. These also had a lot of bread and not a lot of toppings. The cinnamon sticks were dry and not a lot of toppings, the oreo pizza was all bread with oreo crumbles all over but tasted really dry, but I will say the cookie dough pizza was the best of all the dessert pizzas. It was hot and fresh and had lots of toppings. We didn't try the salad bar but it looked like there were lots of options to choose from and it seemed like a lot of people were picking things from there. I feel like the prices are very reasonable for a buffet, it was about $10.50 for adults. They do have lots of options to pick from for their pizzas, pasta & sauce, and dessert options but as far as the flavor goes I just wasn't a huge fan. It's pretty bland overall.

Initially I liked it and I had planned on coming frequently for many months and years to come. But that all changed and now im never coming back or bringing or recommending it to friends and family. Why? I got shamed at my table in front of my family for mixing a little flavor into my water cup and the guy also sternly demanded that I dump it out. In other words In the bigger picture I was making this place plenty of money, and bringing repeat business and referring to others only to be treated like trash for simply tapping the lemonade for a second simply putting a shot of lemon in my water! I'm not claiming perfection. I'm just simply asking what is the greater and bigger picture here and what is more in all parties interest. The guy who did this wore glasses and seemed like the oldest worker there. Perhaps was even a manager.it's probably a tuff job and he's worried about people taking advantage on the buffet. So why be so petty on the cheapest thing of all drinks? And why abruptly rattle a great customer?!
