Stay away from chucks parking. One of the valet attendants damaged the carbon fiber part of my steering wheel at Craig's restaurant. I talked to Joel regarding the damage and of course they say "The driver is not aware of anything he could have done to damage your steering wheel. He said he is sure that he did not scrape the steering wheel with his belt or anything else." If he is not aware, how is he so sure? Plain and simple deny and not take any accountability for the damage. If you have an expensive car STAY AWAY from chucks parking, they will damage it and say sorry we didn't do it. I've used Chuck's twice. At both events parking was seamless for the guests - I've even heard comments about the wonderful valets! They are easy to work with and efficient. And are good at creating plans to avoid potential problems. At one event I learned there was another event close by and Chuck's crafted a parking plan for our staff that made sure no staff members ended up at the wrong event! I was prompted to write a review from my invoice. I have used Chuck's in the past and had great results. I think it all comes down to who you are interfacing with at the company. My long time contact left and my most recent experience was far less satisfactory. The sales person that I inherited informed me the day before my event for 600 guests that he would not be on site b/c there was another event happening that was paying him more. He also said that there was no guarantee that he would be on site and that if I didn't like it, I should look for another company. And the only reason, I got that heads up was because I reached out after he had been on a two-week vacation. B/c the team that came on site was not adequately briefed, we were off to a rough start; but thanks to my team overseeing the parking, things got straightened out; and it turned out fine. No one from the company ever followed up with me to debrief, although this is an annual event; and I had asked for some feedback. They just sent the bill. Yes, they can do the job but when you are paying $10,000 for six hours, you want to feel like a valued client. I did not and do not. It's just not how I want to do business. And honestly, I would not even have left a review but if you just send a bill, don't check it out, and assume all reviews will be great, then I guess this is what happens. read more

I was very impressed with how organized they were the night of my party. They did everything they said they would do. They were fair in pricing and extended their time as necessary. Chuck personally gave me his attention. My street has limited space, they thoughtfully mapped out the time and space which allowed the evening to go smoothly. I recently used Chuck's parking for an event we put on for my company. From beginning to end, myself and all of my guests were provided with exceptional customer service. Chuck's and company were very knowledgeable on local permit laws, and staffing the appropriate amount of attendants to park cars. Our area was a little tricky with curved roads, blind spots and very little space but their staff mapped it out perfectly and their operation was like a well oiled machine. I'm shocked and disgusted at how this company operates, their staff is violent and rude, they drive recklessly (well over the legal limit), and the worst thing is that they won't take any liability for their actions. I reached out to Chuck's Parking after receiving the recommendation from a coworker because I was planning two large events and needed a group that was competent and professional to handle valet parking. The Chuck's staff were friendly, dressed well, and their VP, Joel Groves, was with them to ensure everything went smoothly. I particularly liked that an attendant stood by our check out tables to call in valet tickets and expedite car retrieval. Additionally, the supervisor came to check in with me toward the end of each event to let me know how many cars were left, and was sure to let me know if overtime might be needed/how we could move cars or release attendants to keep additional costs low. I recently hired Chuck's valet for my wedding that was in March. I read the bad review from christina below but Chuck's was very highly recommended by both my wedding planner and the caterer that I used. They told me that Chuck can be difficult to talk to at times but does provide the best valet service in town. They also recommended that I speak with either a guy named Joel (Chuck's partner) or Blake. I dealt with Blake only and he was very easy to deal with. I had a bad experience with a valet company crashing my friends car once and refused to pay any of the damages so I decided to pay a little more money for some piece of mind. When Chuck's valets arrived they were early to my wedding, dressed all in the same uniform and very presentable. And probably best of all, every attendant spoke english!! That is impossible to come by in LA. I would definitely hire Chuck's again if I need a valet service. read more

Chuck's Parking Service was the valet service used in our neighborhood for a party today. We did not see any evidence of a party within four blocks of our residence but I did see this valet service parking cars on and around our street. When I asked the valet service where the event was they stated a location blocks away from us. I also asked why they were parking the cars so far away from the party they said it was in their contract. It was not a professional nor courteous experience which are two things I look for in a valet company. read more

I attended an upscale birthday party for a prominent physician in the valley. The valet returned my car without notifying me that the vehicle was in a rear end collision. The valets on duty tried to hide the damage by taping my bumper back to my car. Under the cover of darkness, the damage was not noticed that evening. The next morning my bumper fell off while driving. After contacting chucks parking, I too was met with severe resistance until I mentioned calling the police to report a hit and run situation. The owner met me that morning and told me that I couldn't prove that my car hadn't been damaged prior to parking that evening, even thought the valet admitted to taping my bumper back on. Finally after agreeing to fix the damages, chucks parking is now refusing to take any responsibility of even return my calls. Use anybody else!!!!!!!! This man has no business ethics read more

Im only giving the company a one star rating due to this young man named Bing who parked my vehicle at an event about two months ago. He seemed to be under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol because he seemed to be unresponsive when I told him he had brought the wrong car. He made us wait for almost twenty minutes and came back with someone else's car! Then ,when we told him that wasn't out car he seemed to not care and shrugged his shoulders. I felt that he was rude and unprofessional and for this matter I feel disappointed. Hopefully they get rid of him so that they can get more clientele. I'm pretty sure Chuck and everyone at the company are great and professional people, but this guy ruined the experience for us. My first conversation with Chuck was very warm and professional. So a few days later I decided to call and hire him for a job. Went to an Easter party that used Chucks Valet on April 16th. Didn't realize that I had left my wallet in the center console. Later that night I got fraud alerts from both Amex and Chase. I declined both and realized my wallet was gone from my center console. Yes I know it's my fault but this was a very high end party where you would never suspect anything like this was possible. They tried to buy 3k worth of electronics at Best Buy, book a room at the Mondrian, spend $20 at Rite Aid and buy gas. Luckily for me Chase and Amex are great with this kind of stuff. Lesson learned. My friend and I attended an event in Hollywood, where Chuck's Parking was offering their valet services. At 10:00 pm I handed the attendee the ticket to get my car. After waiting 20 minutes in the freezing cold I found out my car was no longer there because they had given it to someone else. I immediately asked how they could give a car to someone without a ticket. They explained to me that a woman had lost her ticket, but swore up and down that the car belonged to her. I again questioned how they could give a car to someone without a ticket, just because she claimed it was hers, or without even bothering to check her ID against the registration, but the response I received was vague. I told them that I was going to file a police report, which they tried to convince me not to, because the car "was not stolen." I'm sorry my car is in the possession of someone I do not know, so yes it's stolen. The valet service eventually got the woman's car and found a contact number for her husband. The husband said he would bring the car back as soon as she arrived home. Apparently she was only 10 minutes away. Well, about 2:30 am, over 5 hours later, I finally received my car back. The whole situation was handled very inappropriately, I was not made to feel at ease, and I had to beg to be reimbursed for gas. Mind you the person who took my car lived over an hour away (so that's 2 hours round trip of gas). We were offered a ride home, but the valet attendant that was supposed to take us home started making inappropriate comments about having "a two for one special tonight" and isn't he lucky to have "two sexy ladies with me" and "they should just put us up in a hotel and we can party." Needless to say we didn't take the valet shuttle home with him and had to call someone else to pick us up. The next day when I called to file an official letter of complaint was not any better. I spoke to the vice-president, Joel Groves. He barely let me speak and made it seem like there was nothing his company could have done to rectify the situation other than what they did. Not once was I apologized to nor was I asked if the gas money I had to beg for was enough, or did I need to be reimbursed for the days work I had to miss and the extra hours my friend had to pay her baby sitter. When I asked for an email and mailing address to send an official letter of complaint the response I got was, "Well, you can write it, but it's just going to come to me." As if to say my letter would not be important because he would be the only one to see it. I was really disappointed with the way the whole situation was handled, especially considering the fact that I didn't yell or scream or get crazy, as I know others would have. I am even more upset that when I spoke to the vice president, Joel, that he didn't even seem apologetic and was in fact quite rude and demeaning, almost as if this situation was not his company's fault. I will never use Chuck's Parking Service again, nor do I recommend you do either. read more

I will start by saying that I have not used this parking service, but my review will explain why. I had an event back in May, and was pricing out different valet companies. I remember when Chuck called me back and went on and on, explaining how "experienced" he was in the business and "you get what you pay for" blah blah blah. I think he was trying to explain why his pricing was 3 times that of some other valet companies. Well, I went with another valet company (Party Parking), because, lets face it, price does matter when you're on a budget. Party Parking was great, they got the job done, even in the hills of Studio City with only one side of the street to park on. Cut to 5 months later I'm trying to secure a valet service who will work New Years Eve (Party Parking was unavailable). I couldn't remember all the companies I had researched before, so I got some quote requests on 3-4 different web sites. I knew immediately who it was when I answered the phone. Good old Chuck, or asshole, I should say. I told him I had already signed with someone else. He asked me who it was and I said ABC Valet Inc. He then proceded to laugh in my face (over the phone) and told me to make sure they show up and not to pay them up front. Then wishing me good luck and telling me I got a good price. Then he hung up the phone. Seriously, the first words out of my mouth after I hung up the phone was "what an asshole!" I don't give a shit that you've parked cars for Nancy Reagan. What I care about is someone to park cars at a decent price. Its not brain surgery....its parking cars. read more

Chuck's was the valet at a fancy entertainment industry party that I attended. After the party, the valet returned my car to me with the window down. No big deal -- except the electrical sensor that controls the window no longer works. When, after tracking down the contact info for Chuck's from the publicist handling the event, I phoned Chuck's, a very rude man told me that the company was in no way responsible for breaking my window, that it was a mechanical problem, and that the fact that my window worked fine before the party was no proof that the valet did anything to it. I asked why the window was opened in the first place and he claimed it was sometimes a necessity when parking cars. He acted like the whole thing was my fault for not having a brand new car, saying that things break all the time on older cars. implying that I was trying to scam him. WTH? If I were trying to do that, I'd blame him for old dents, not an extremely weird problem that was created by his valet doing god knows what to my windows. I told him that his lousy customer service was going to damage his reputation. He said they had great customer service; that's why high profile companies hire him. I emailed the publicist to let her know that Chuck's treats the people whose cars they park like dirt. So now I am stuck paying to repair a car that the valet broke. Do not use Chuck's. Should you find yourself at a party where Chuck's is the valet company, find someplace else to park and walk. Your car will be much safer. read more
