The helpful staff member speaking with me on the phone let me know about the Danish Donut which has a cream cheese filling which is what she thought would be most similar to the mascarpone filling. Want the old-school stuff, a plain glazed, a proper old-fashioned, the classics done right? They've got you. Want the new-school showpieces, the cereal-topped ones, the panda, the over-the-top specialty donuts that built their following? Those are right there, too. A lot of places lose the plot when they get popular and chase the trends. This place added the flash without ever ditching the fundamentals. Everything's fresh, any hour of the day or night, which is the whole point of a 24-hour shop and something they actually deliver on. Family run, been at it since 1982, and it shows. It was nothing like a glazed twist donut; the only similarity was that it was twisted. It seemed to be baked, not fried. It was very good quality, but I really messed up by not getting a creme-filled donut instead. My friend had a pecan roll and loved it. The quality of the product here is top tier for sure. The prices are premium, but the quality matches the price. They also sell sandwiches as well as coffee and tea drinks. I will certainly go back and try one of the many creme-filled donuts.
