We drive to Boyle Heights (Lorena and Whittier by the Lorena pharmacy not on Breed) from Woodland Hills just to have e the freshest Churros. No regrets whatsoever! I got the Cajeta and Lechera ones, my husband got the chocolate and Lechera ones and the kids got traditional o es. Everyone loved theirs! I'm glad they are a ways away from me otherwise I would be getting them all the time!

We visit this truck on Lorena near Tacos La Estrella, South of Whittier. A bag of crispy, freshly fried churros is $7. The truck is well lit and clean. The ladies are really nice and working hard behind the counter. I've been asked if these churros are better than Don Abel's. My response is that they are not as greasy. Taste and texture are the same to me. We miss the lady with a churro cart on this location, but this truck is a good option. Will be trying other stuff soon enough, just not on the same evening.

    No sanitation

The churros are amazing and will recommended. A good price for the churros and there's a lot of items that can go with it.

I really enjoy coming to this churro truck. Their churros are so fresh and delicious. I also order their fresas con crema which is also very delicious and the only place I like buying them from. The strawberries are always sweet and they put the right amount of everything on it. I usually order from them at Lorena and Whittier blvd. (Almost in front of the Lorena Pharmacy). When I asked what time do they arrive they said 430pm. There have been times i haven't seen them parked there at that time so if that's the case they usually have their cart stand and not the truck. Definitely worth coming here. I feel fortunate to live a few blocks away to be able to enjoy it.

The best churros in ELA / Boyle heights Freshly made in front of you ! They sale other goodies too but I personally love churros so that's all I buy. Small food truck ! I don't get how they don't have huge lines like the churro spot on Whittier Blvd those aren't even close to being crunchy and rolled on a nice amount of sugar and cinnamon ! the best Price 5$ for 14 churros !! They aren't large churros like the ones at Santa Monica or downtown la but they aren't too small either.

Absolutely yummy! It's a bit pricey compare to other places but totally worth it if you love platanos fritos. They have great options for snacks or desserts. This is def my late night snack to go place

Just finished having dinner in Boyle Heights and my boyfriend was craving churros for dessert. I'm glad we got there when we did ( Sunday, around 5:45pm) because we had relatively no wait. We got the 5 churros for $3. They were so delicious! We were half done by the time we got back to the car and finished off the last 2 before taking off. I love that the plain churros aren't just sitting around ready, she made them fresh and the taste really said it all. Definitely recommend!

Well, being that I drove into work today and it was a Monday, I remembered it's $1.00 tacos at Barragans on Sunset, so I invite my friend Sonia to join me. We go and throw the munch down on those delicious tacos and afterwards "she" tells me, "Hey, lets go get some churros for dessert." So we walk down to the corner of Echo Park & Sunset and low and behold, there is the churro truck. We walk up, order our yummy dessert treasures, that were made especially for us. I arrive home, and immediately take them out of the bag to photograph 'em. I eat one, and I must say, they were actually pretty decent. A light crispy crunch sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar on the outside, and a chewy goodness on the inside. It was perfect. If and when I'm in that neighborhood again, I'd definitely stop and get some again. From what my friend tells me, they're only there M-F and have apparently been situated at that corner for about five years. So whenever your in the hood, I say stop by and pick up a bag for now or later . . . I shared my churros with my daughter and friend, so I only got to eat two, wis I had ordered two bags . . . I could have used on today. Next time . . . Enjoy!!!!

    yummy goodness!!!

When I first laid my eyes on this truck, I was scared.. It was in a not so good area and I didn't want to risk being in the bathroom while watching Alicia Keys live that night... But I had to give you a chance since I am rarely in the area and I kept hearing good things about these churros. ANND Boyyyyyyy am I glad I took that risk! DEEEEE-MUTHER-LISH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If I could give you 10 stars I would!!! I got the churros with strawberry jam and condensed milk!! Who would create such an evil thing? I CANNOT stop thinking about these damn churros...before I go to bed I think of em...the minute I wake up, i think of em...breakfast, dinner, lunch.. I think of em! They made the churros when we ordered so they came out fresh and warm with the strawberry jam and condensed milk drizzled over it! YUM! It wasn't too sweet for me, but hey I have a sweet tooth! I don't remember if I got 4 or 5 for 3.00.. I inhaled them so fast, I almost didn't get to share the goods! They also have other stuff like plain churros, nachos, corn with the mayo and cheese, funnel cakes and other stuff I cant remember from the top of my head.. They cater and here is their number for anyone interested: 323 395 7925 OK, I don't want to hype it up too much... Just go try it and see for yourself!

We waited patiently for about 10 minutes because we assumed he might be busy. Since he still didn't respond, we decided to just leave. What made the situation worse was that as soon as we stepped away, he immediately helped the person behind us. That felt very disrespectful, especially since we had been patient the whole time and were not rude at all. It's really disappointing because we actually love the tacos here. They're estilo Jalisco, which is where we're from, so we were excited to eat here. Unfortunately, the bad service alone was enough to ruin the experience. Very disappointing, and we won't be returning.

The people here are very friendly and helpful. And there's some apple seating area, especially since it wasn't super busy. I did come on a late weekday night though. Of course I ordered the pezcuesos de pollo. The price were very reasonable. I got it to go because I was on my way home. As mentioned by other Yelper(s), this taco trunk can be found parked in front of the LAC USC Medical Center building. In fact, I remember seeing more than 1 trucks available, but this white Buenos Tacos (easy to remember) truck is the only one that opens late and on the weekend. But please don't quote me on this. They offer tacos, quesadias, burritos, and tortas, but I am only interested in tacos usually. Regular tacos cost $1.25 each, while tacos de lengua cost $1.50 each. I recommend opting for regular ones, as you can get 4 for $5, no change, no mess. I am not even sure why lengua costs more, or if lengua actually tastes better. Shrug. I got cabeza and pastor to go. The cook was very speedy in cooking, and packed everything in foil for me to keep them warm. Limes was cut up and put in a separate bag for convenience. Both tasted very good! Now, if you cannot handle spicy, you may wanna let him know ahead of time, because after eating all 4, my eyes and nose were runny, and my oral cavity in general was burning. It's a delicious kinda burn, but I could do without it. I also enjoyed the toppings such as cilantro, onion, etc. Get everything on it. I didn't regret it at all for doing so! Specifically, cabeza was visibly more fatty but I liked it that way--it was super yummy. Pastor in comparison was drier, but still very well marinated. They tasted good enough, and were cheap enough, for me to come back and try for more. I'll update you guys if I ever buy their other options: azada, chorizo, pollo, and buche. (Btw, all spelling is per menu on the truck. Some look kinda funky, but I don't speak Spanish, so what do I know.)
