Food is great. Been coming here for a little over five years now. The menu has gotten a lot smaller and my favorite dish was taken off but that's ok because I just had to find a new favorite. Hadn't been in a while because my daughter got braces and tortilla chips have been off limits. She got them off today and we celebrated her freedom by dining at chuys for a late lunch. Service was to be expected between shifts but we had no problem with the food or dining. It was peaceful actually. Only one thing bothered me. My ticket was overcharged by a few bucks on the queso. We dined a little after 3pm, which is when happy hour begins. There are table talkers on each table that advertise queso is $5 and for $1 more you can add beef. We ordered that. The menu mentioned nothing of specifying you want a happy hour portion so I just ordered queso. (Before Covid, there was actually a queso bar that was free but these are new times and I was glad to see it still included in happy hour in some fashion). My ticket said $8.99 for the queso. $5+$1 doesn't equal $8.99 so I brought it up figuring it was an easy fix. My poor waiter comes back and says "my manager doesn't want to deal with it" ohhhhk.....we'll then why are all of these table talkers standing on the tables letting us know about $5 queso? He tried to talk to manager again and I kind of follow him to catch a glimpse of these guy. Manager never once tried to speak to me or even acknowledge me even though I caught his eye when he was at the pos taking care of the check. Dude just had the angriest sour look on his face as if he hated his job and me. All I could do was roll my eyes and be done with it. Good and service were great. welp just another TERRIBLE chuy's experience.. AGAIN! ugh! this is irritating and just plain irritating! i've never been to a restaurant so poorly maintained, managed, and disorganized. in all my years i've never been so mistreated at a restaurant! and i'm a frequent out to eat kind of guy! even tho i should start to watch what i'm putting into my body i just don't care to be quite frank with ya! i'm like a junk food deposit haha! ahh i crack myself up hehehehe ANYWAYS so basically what happened was the wait time was horrendous even tho there was a whole room empty and not being used that i believe the call the car room? i don't know but it's pretty stupid if you ask me but whatever. once we were seated the server took at LEAST 10 minutes to greet us and when she FINALLY got us our drinks she ran off and disappeared for about 15 minutes! no where to be seen! so i told my wife my order and went to the bathroom and as i'm walking by the little opening to the kitchen i see our server taking to some guy! just taking her time not giving a FUCK about us or her other customers! just laughing it up! yeah yeah yeah get a grip and do your job or don't do it at all! i'm sick of this place! The first time i came they gave us cold food and next time we came there were flies everywhere and now this? seriously? management needs to do some management of there employees or they'll be out of business in a blink of an eye! i will not give the name of this waitress because i really don't want to be the demise of someone losing a job! not when employement is up so high! can't do that! no sir nuh uh not me. hopefully management actually reads this and takes charge of the situation and doesn't merely brush it to the side. read more

I expected more from chuys from the shiny pictures I saw online and food looked awesome but when I came in I was only met by a grumpy host that told me I had a wait for 30 minutes no problem with that I understand that it gets busy sometimes but when it was time for my table they heard it's like cattle over there threw down the menus and almost felt like she wanted to bite me when I asked for a highchair for my little one. but it doesn't stop there when my server Reann gave me my chips and salsa she took my order and I want to start with an appetizer plate. It took 30 minutes to come out and when I bit into it was cold like it's been sitting forever. I told her this and she just blew me off and went to her other tables after speaking with the manager she said that sometimes they get busy but did not replace anything. Not to mention under my enchilada plate was rice dried up from the last person to use it like they didn't wash it and when I took out my silverware there is still debris from the last person who used it GROSS! not to mention I could hear I'm screaming "ALEXIS TEXAS !!!" in the back my son search that up and now he scarred for life! Chuy's can do better next time I'll go to Chili's where customer service and management is better and chilies also has a family friendly environment read more

Well I've been to Chuy's before but not to this location and frankly I'm quite disappointed. I always go to the south lake location but decided to go to the alliance location because it's right next to my daughters apartment complex. So we went and waited at least 30 minutes. No biggie i understand they're busy. When we were seated our server came and greeted us and took our drink orders but it took him at least 10 minutes to get two waters! And when he did he didn't apologize for the wait or anything he just took our food orders. I got the boom boom enchiladas like I always do and my daughter got some nachos. It took the food nearly 40 minutes to come out and when it did the food wasn't hot or cold it was this gross in between that just didn't sit right with us. So when we complained the young man just rolled his eyes and got his manager. When complaining to the manager he seemed very annoyed that I would be complaining about my warm/cold food. At the end of it all they gave us a comp and promised it would never happen again! Yeah I know it won't happen again because there's no way I'm coming back to this location! Everyone do yourself a favor and take the trip up to south lake for some REAL Tex Mex grub! read more

So I been to da Southlake location and have gotten great results but when coming to dis alliance location I've never been so disappointed in a restaurant chain like dis! When I was greeted by deez hosts they seemed irritated wit me but I thought whateva they yung and petty. When I met my server Rayann she thought it was real funny to imitate my accent like that's jus disrespectful like how dare you! On god I almost punched her right in the throat! But I decided to overlook this disgusting excuse for a human. The wait for my food was like at least 30 minutes long! At south lake it's 20 minutes at the most! Even when they busy! So what's the problem here? When I F I N A L L Y got my food it was stillllll cold! Come on y'all how you gon do me like dat?! When complaining to dis manager by da name of "Adam" he got on this real monotone voice and sounded like he was reciting sum script and offered me a comp. like at least make the apology sound real! Come on man! On my mama I almost walked out and didn't pay but my mama ain't raise me like dat my mama taught me morales unlike they mamas. I came her last Saturday night with my family at prime time. When I first walked in the doors and told the young hostess phone number I could tell they had no clue what they were doing. We waited around 35 minutes for a table which isn't that bad at all. The music was so loud and competing with the restaurant chatter that is almost made my ears bleed. When we sat down, our server took the food order, then we were left unattended for 50 minutes without our food so we just walked out. When we were waiting for our food we heard lots of screaming coming from the kitchen which included cussing. The lack of professionalism and the blatant disregard for the customer did not make the night any better most of the staff was preoccupied by there cell phones which explains why our food never came. This is very upsetting to me because I was hoping this place could be my go to Saturday night spot with the family. I bet the upper management will read this and shrug there shoulders and offer to make it right but there is nothing chuys can do to give me back an hour and a half. This place is so terrible that I would not send my worst enemy here. read more

Unfortunately this years Green Chile Festival is the worst by far! I've come for the festival 3 years straight! And this is definitely the worst one! The new menu items were mediocre at BEST! It took FOREVER for the food to come out and I didn't even get an apology for the extremely long wait. I really don't understand why it took so long, they weren't even that busy! I guess their kitchen just cracked under the pressure of this new menu thing? But whatever it was I was really disappointed. Also it seems like their customer service has taken a turn for the absolute worst! Host was very rude and it felt like she was rushing us when they weren't even that busy! And the server was just really inconsistent on checking up on us for refills of drinks and chips/salsa and it took her forever to get the check to us! And I could actually see her talking to one of the male servers for at least 8 minutes! Like I got places to be after this I don't know why she felt like she could just take her own sweet time when she has a task to do! Plus we weren't her only table ya know? It is with great lust I write this review. I walk in to chuys fine Tex mex and was waiting for a table in an empty restaurant. When I confronted the host Mica she told me my table had been ready for 15 minutes and they called my name but I was right there on the bench and heard nothing but the host goofing off. Later I got to my table and my server James had an attitude right as we sat down as if we were bothering him. After waiting about 35 minutes the food finally came. When asking James why our food took so long he's stated that it's not his problem and offered to let us speak with the supervisor, but we politely declined, as we were just looking for an explanation on the matter. Halfway through my burrito I told my server that it was cold on the inside and that I was biting into rock hard pinto beans. He did not care much he just kept disappearing back the and showing up every 20 minutes or so. I'm in the restaurant industry myself so, with that being said I still tipped that sorry man 20% come to check my bank statements, they took $10 more than I tipped. Will not be coming back. THIS RESTAURANT GOES AGAINST GOD'S WORD! The music WAS Referring to a woman's behind! My server Maddie was wearing very very revealing attire that did not reflect my attributes as Christian man. Her "BOOTY SHORTS" were not appreciated either cover up or put a lap dance on the menu! The kids were staring at her epidermis in disbelief. The song "SEXY BACK" was not welcome either. Or the whole LGBTQ community working there. I hope you find your lord and savior. But the food was also repulsive. Right after I ate it I had to go to the hospital and get my stomach pumped then I had a triple bypass surgery. Not to mention it gave me the green shits. I requested no guacamole after eating the salad on the side I lifted up the lettuce and the guacamole was all scraped off like they're trying to hide it from me! But thankfully I had my EpiPen. We have lived in the Fort Worth area for awhile and wanted to try a new restaurant and chuys looked great. Me and my girlfriends met here after work and sat in a circular booth in the hubcap room. AND FLIES WERE EVERYWHERE. But that's understandable. As a former chilies server in my high schools days, I remember those things were impossible to get rid of. Our server Jimmy was not up to my standards as he was leaving us unattended fo over 20 minutes at a time, and had a bad attitude towards our requests. Food was okay, but when we were discussing among ourselves how the bill would be split, he sternly said "FIGURE IT OUT GUYS" and walked away for another 20 minutes. Coming from an abusive husband, I do not like to me yelled at. It makes me very uncomfortable. I can handle the bad attitude, and being forgot about for 20 minutes, but when you yell at a single parent, that's when you crossed the line. Will never go back to chuys again. read more

I've honestly never been so horrified, I'm literally still shaking in anger and in disbelief. First off the wait for a table was dreadful just awful! And when I finally got sat some idiot mopping the floor kept hitting my feet with the mop! It's like he was doing it on purpose! What's wrong with him?! Is he on some special work program?? And then he didn't even finish the job, he just left a wet floor sign there! Our server Abe was the only thing good about our experience but the food was cold! Still frozen! Fresh Tex mex huh? Ha Yeah right! More like fresh from the freezer Tex mex! And when complaining to a manager he acted as if it were my fault that the food was cold! And he didn't even apologize he just gave me a comp for the meal! And what really irked me about my whole Chuy's experience was the really terribly awful loud Spanish music playing in the back! 3 WORDS: BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE! Staff was not efficient. There was a older lady on her phone just standing there while I need a refill. When I went to the ladies room, I walked by the kitchen and HEARD MORE CURSING THAN ALL MY 20 YEARS IN THE NAVY! AND THEY WERE SAILORS! Not cool Chuy's. My sever Joe was pressuring me buy Casio even though they were giving it away in the Nacho Car. He was also pushing me towards more alcohol even when I stated I was driving home...also tried to get me to buy dessert but IM NOT MADE OF MONEY! Joe: need to work on being more friendly and not leaving your table unattended for 15+ minutes. Chuy's: Please retrain your host to make me feel more at home. Golly! It was horrible! Took an hour AND a half to get seated! Typical Chuy's on a Saturday night ha! They don't allow reservations which really grinds my gears. When we finally got seated I sat in a puddle of water left by a clean up girl! And then later on I saw the same girl on her phone in the corner while there were at least 4 dirty tables! Come on Chuy's! That's 4 parties of people that could've been sat! Gah! Really hate employees who just don't care! I decided to order the classic steak burrito with queso on top! Me and my family came here on Sunday morning after church around noon. The hostess had an attitude ever since we walked in like we had no business being there. I told her party of 4 and she fiercely said There's a wait! So we gave them our phone number and waited about 30 min then when we were seated our server Johnathan promptly brought us chips and salsa and took our drink orders. All was going A okay until the server started hitting on my 16 year old daughter. First off I just wanna start by saying I don't write reviews and less it's REALLY REALLY just... AFFUL!!!! get better service and a grave yard! I called ahead and told him my son with special needs will be in a wheelchair and to make room for him and our large party only to come find that my son had to sit in A normal chair and I had to eat with one hand and hold him up with other very disrespectful on host part. Our waiter was a nice kid but the food could have been a lot better super dry chicken with a bone here in there when there should not be!
