The food was not prepared and cooked and advertised, sent it back, the kitchen simply opened the old ones and added to the quesadillas instead of cooking new ones. Great food but awful service. Went on a Thursday night around 8pm and it was empty. Took forever for a waiter to even greet us once we were seated and even longer to take our order. They served our food about 15 minutes apart and by the time it came time for us to get our check our waiter was no where to be found. We had to wave down another server to find our waiter for us. This is one of my favorite places to eat. I have been a fan since they started in Austin. It was really bad tonight. The service was terrible, maybe a staffing issue. Food came I a reasonable time, requested silverware and napkins, she never came back. Finally, our server showed up and we got silverware, no napkins. Food was already getting cold. Finally got napkins, then requested a box. We were pretty aggravated at this point. During the entire hour we were here we never saw a manager. I don't know if anyone realizes they are crashing and burning. I will be back because I love the place. Hope somebody reads this and helps them get on track. read more

I went back to Chuy's because my daughter came to visit and she loves Chuy's (for the life of me, I don't get it!). This time I avoided the things I had last time, hoping for a better experience. I ordered fajitas, which were pretty good, for the most part. The beans and rice were terrible however. Dry and bland. I myself have not been a customer of Chuy's in Alliance, but I did seek employment there and I wanted to comment on what I learned about the staff. If you want to go to a restaurant and get "good service" don't go to Chuy's ,because the experience you get will be far better than "good", it will be excellent. Their staff trains harder than any other Restaurant I've ever worked at.( I've been in this industry for 6-7 years) They not only bring an outstanding knowledge of the menu items and ingredients but an over the top V.I.P experience for customer and employees as well. They show true care and concern for every little detail as well as promoting the best damn Tex-Mex food I've ever had,(made from scratch which I can attest to being 100% true) The managers show true leadership in the way they act, the employees welcome anyone coming in(customers and new employee's) with pure friendship,and finally the kitchen staff works so hard to create the most delicious food! Also I have to comment that behind the scene's I have NEVER seen a staff work so fluidly together, they respect each other in such a way if the rest of the world acted as Chuy's employee's did the world would be a much better place. Oh! And did I mention they do charity work on top of everything else?!?!?! I trained for 3 days and management was constantly asking and trying to find ways to give back to the community! (I myself could not make it through training because of personal issues in my life but I felt it was necessary for the world to know how wonderful of a place Chuy's is.) After the 30 minute wait (Friday night dinner time, it's expected, but worth it!), we were given delicious chips and (spicy) salsa. Had a frozen raspberry margarita and enchiladas blanco (really good and holy spicy! The green chilis and jalapeños could be to blame lol) and friend got the fajitas (didn't come back sizzling as expected, he thought it was ok, nothing special). Tonight our family of four decided to have dinner here. Never any complaints about the service. However, tonight they SUCKED starting from the moment we walked it. When we walked in the door the young lady, Milley, asked how many, I said "four." She said ok give me sec I will sit you right away. We sat down on the bench closest to the bar. A father and young daughter crossing over from the bar area to the other side dropped her cheese/beans. This left a trail and was all over her. The guy host, Matt, was present and just looked at him. Another mom and i had to help him and to get napkins ourselves... heaven forbid he lift his ass off the shirt stand to help. Trail of cheese was left on floor, never cleaned up while we sat. Then the girl host comes back and sits other people that came behind us. A family leaves because it pisses them off too. She complains about to the guy host about them leaving, then a party of four that walks straight in from the door and gets seated. I complained to the hostess about how she sat two parties when she told me 2 minutes, 15 minutes ago! Her response was, "Are you so and so name?" I said " NO!" She said "well I thought you were someone else. " How about freaking ask lady!?!?! How about keep track with what you are doing rather than sitting bitching about how management moved the stand because they wanted more room and too many people where standing around. You're still standing around being rude and not helpful. Seriously annoyed enough not to enjoy dinner. But on a positive, server Nick was nice. read more

The food wasn't bad but it wasn't anything extraordinary for me. I've been to this location a few times and the service was great the first time but bad the second. The margaritas are good. Gave me a good buzz. My main complaint is that they have the AC down really low and I couldn't enjoy my food cuz I couldn't stop shivering. read more

God awful. Sweet tea tastes like tainted water, food was over priced for quality. Waiters/waitresses spilled chips on the floor and left it there to be stepped on. Visited this location on a busy Saturday night. Found 2 spots at the bar. The bartender, James aka Pickle, greeted us and after a few minutes of being indecisive about what I wanted to drink, he gave his recommendations and even samples! The La Pina Colada is amazing!! Food was just as awesome!! I had the #1 which came with 2 cheese enchiladas, 2 chicken flair as, and a ground sirloin taco... You get the choice of Mexi rice or green chile rice and your choice of beans - refried or charro... Everything pickle recommended was on point!!! I didn't see anyone without a smile on their face! Good average Tex mex food. Nice atmosphere, reminds me of Espinosa restaurant. Typical Tex mex decorations and design. Food was okay. Not hot enough, so the cheese became rubbery. I got the Chicka boom boom enchiladas. Sauce and tortilla was good. But the cheese and chicken was bland... It was like they didn't even flavor the chicken. Tasted like semi dried boiled chicken.. Barley had any cheese on it as well. The waitress didn't ask me if I wanted the Mexican rice or the pepper rice but she was a good waitress and brought out an extra bowl of rice for me. They were both good, but something about traditional Mexican rice always makes me love it more. I love the spices. My gay cousin got the burrito, it was okay at first but then a chunk of beans started to come out, too much bean in the burrito. The chip and salsa was very good tho! Chuys is one of my favorite restaurants. Their food is great, since it is made from scratch. However, I want to talk about their service as well. We recently had a not so great exprerience using their To Go service. I emailed the feedback page on their website. The manager of this location responded to me very quickly, and we discussed what happened. He went above and beyond (as well as the server staff) to make it right. My family and I were overwhelmed with the response! They care about their customers. I highly recommend Chuys, and especially this location, if you're looking for a great meal and service. read more

Very contrived atmosphere (like most chain places) Service was prompt and friendly. I ordered what amounts to a sampler plate where you get a taco, an enchilade, burito, etc. Chips and salsa come when you sit down. Chips are thin and warm, and this was the best part of the meal. The salsa was just ok. Much too mild for my liking and pretty thin. My food was served hot and the portions were reasonable but they should be for the price. Unfortunately, the food was mediocre. Bad isn't the right word for it because it isn't bad...it just isn't anything remarkable that makes you remember the place or want to come back again. My brother and niece were coming through Ft Worth on a trip. We chose this Chuy's as our meeting place. My niece has gluten intolerance and the head cook was nice enough to come out and talk to us personally. He came out 2 times to make sure that they could find something that she would like but also gluten free. Some of the seasonings have a gluten base. We had great service and food. Will be back!
