Gosh! I really enjoy this chain restaurant! We had a craving for fresh salsa and homemade chips. Gone are the days where you could self serve chips. BUT those chips are still here. We enjoyed "shamelessly" about 3 baskets of fresh chips. Then we ordered food! Gotta love those giant nacho platters and the variety of appetizers. Hubby enjoyed his food platters. Service at the bar is outstanding! Thanks to those patient bar servers. Ambiance is nice with lots of TVs in the bar. Parking is plentiful.

Although I'm generally not a fan of Tex-Mex, this is possibly the best one I've been to in the area. The prices are fair, the food options and spice level vast, and the atmosphere is also nice; it has that diner vibe. Yes service is okay and could be more consistent, but the boom-boom sauce and veggie tamales were great!

We had a craving for Chuy's chips! They make them fresh several times a day. Long gone are the self serve chip bar. The bar staff was great. He indulged us with several baskets of chips and salsa. The salsa was HOT! It was delicious. After those delicious baskets of chips I wanted a simple meal. Enter the ground beef burrito. It was hefty and very tasty. I do love a good chain restaurant. Staff was very accommodating. He provided lots of drink refills as well as those baskets of chips. The bar area ambiance is fun and wide open!

I love Chuy's and this one was great. This is the middle ground for my friend and I to meet since she lives in Maryland. I did a margarita swirl of strawberry and another pink one that is the special this month. My friend got the tortilla soup and it's broth based. She also got the Chicken nachos while I had chicka boom boom which is always my go too.

My wife and I went to Chuy's for lunch today. Glad we got there right as they opened at 11am because the restaurant filled up afterwards pretty quickly. Our server was very quick to bring us a basket of homemade chips and 5 different types of salsa. Plus, when she brought our meals, it was with a warning of the extremely hot plates. My wife ordered a taco entree and I ordered chicken enchiladas. Portions were generous. The music seemed a bit too loud for me. However the food was good and easy to pay via the QR code on the receipt paper. I left a cash tip on the table.

I have always passed this restaurant but for some reason never stopped in until today for lunch. I sat at the bar and was promptly greeted by the bartender Nina. I told Nina that it was my first time dining at the restaurant and that I may have questions to which she told me wasn't a problem at all. Upon looking over the menu I noticed they had a section called "Sauces" so I asked Nina a few questions about how she recommended I narrow things down to pick the best one for my salad and she said she would do me one better and bring out samples of each of the sauces for me to try to determine which I liked best (& you can literally add 95% of them to your meals for free). Once the array of sauces arrived Nina literally explained each of them in detail for me and how they were made, WOW! I wound up actually liking all of them but loved about 4 and decided to keep them to add onto my Mexi-Cobb Salad (which was a deliciously fresh and filling salad). My overall experience far exceeded my expectations and I will definitely be back to try more traditional Mexican entrees of course topped with lots of sauces :)

I love Chuy's. Even though it is a chain, they have some of the best Tex-Mex if had (outside of Texas :) Their complimentary chips are super thin and crispy and not oily. Their salsa is nice and fresh and additionally you can ask for any of their signature sauces free of charge! My favorite entrees there are their chicka-chicka boom-boom enchiladas, vegetarian enchiladas, Chuychanga. Their signature boom-boom sauce and the deluxe tomatillo sauces are must trys. Chuy's is also very welcoming of substitutions and modifications, making it very vegetarian friendly. Highly recommended this casual restaurant if you're in the mood for Tex-mex food!

Restaurant environment was good. Service was excellent. The water was prompt to bring us the food. She was excellent. The lighting was great. I'm not too sure about food. I had Comida deluxe entrée and beef burrito. The sauce really didn't have any taste to it. I was expecting more of a traditional Mexican food, but it looks like it was Americanized. I am not sure whether I will come here again.

Food is OK quality and prices are reasonable if not inexpensive on their specials, like the steak and ribs for only $25. Good flavor and cooked ok but a nice combo for the price. Service is OK with some wait staff being more efficient than others. There were some who knew their customers by name and took time out to talk with them but that slowed down service a little for the rest of us. Nothing too bad but you might wait a bit for refills or something you need after your food or drinks arrive. We had cool fries and it took a bit for the staff to come back to our table to check in the dining room. Similar response time for wait staff outside when we needed condiments that were ordered but didn't come out with our entrees. Cigar menu is an ok selection where there is something for everyone; however, our experience was the place ran out of the first four cigars we selected and each time the wait staff had to come back to our table to tell us they were out of that cigar. Wait staff didn't know what cigars were in stock and which they were out of. Overall, very good experience for both inside the dining area and outside where you can smoke. Recommend The Bungalow Lakehouse as it is a good experience and has a variety of experience options.

The choices were: outside, the sports bar, or the dining room. We chose the dining room. A large group of people was sitting at a table. We were given a booth by the window and right by the server's station. Looking over the menu at home, we both decided that we would get a bacon cheeseburger. The entrees seemed, to us, to be too filling. The bacon cheeseburger consists of: "100% angus burger, apple-wood smoked bacon, vermont white cheddar, canadian cheddar, sliced tomato, and crispy leaf lettuce". We both ordered it cooked medium. The dish comes with fries. To drink, I had ginger ale while my husband had a Heineken 00. Our server was friendly and efficient. He made a mistake, bringing my husband a Coke instead of the beer. My husband corrected him. He apologized and retrieved the correct drink. The burger was dry and overcooked. It was more on the medium well side. In one way, I didn't mind that as I didn't end up with greasy hands or a burger that falls apart. The bacon and the cheese provided some relief from the dryness. The fries came out hot, which we appreciated. All in all, it was an OK experience; we would consider going again sometime.

What a wonderful experience! The restaurant is a very, quite spacious and very welcoming. It's right next to a lake and so the setting was lovely. We had an indoor/outdoor room with doors that opened to the outside. I had a raspberry lemon martini with a sugared glass rim. Very nicely presented. They have a very varied menu and they also have a large gluten-free menu. We both had the lobster bisque as a starter and then we both ordered the fish tacos. The soup was filled with lots of lobster meat and was delicious. The fish tacos were made with cod and the waiter mentioned that the slaw had some habanero chile in it. I asked if it was spicy and he said it might have a slight kick, but was not spicy. He was absolutely correct and in fact, if he hadn't mentioned the habanero I would not have picked up on it at all. It was really good. If you order bread, (and you have choices on type), you are charged I think a dollar per order, but that is donated to help people who are food challenged. We were full from our dinner, but we could not pass up an order of key lime pie for dessert, which we shared. It was a hard choice because they had a special dessert which was chocolate peanut-butter pie. I wish we could have had both. Their other desserts also sounded great. By the way, a portion of their revenues from desserts are also donated to help those who need food assistance. I was very impressed that they do that. I want to mention that the wait staff was also great. Friendly, attentive, but not over-bearing. I can't say enough about Sweetwster Tavern. For a weeknight, this restaurant was surprisingly busy, which felt like a good sign! Dinner started out with trying some of their appetizers. We got the Tex Mex Egg Rolls as well as their special Burrata appetizer. The Tex Mex Egg Rolls came with four tasty mini egg rolls filled with smoked chicken, corn, black beans, onions, peppers, and jalapeño jack cheese. They were served with a creamy avocado dipping sauce that added a cool, refreshing contrast to the savory filling. Overall, these were a light and flavorful way to start the meal. The Burrata special was also pretty good. It came with three crisp breads, cherry tomatoes, basil pesto, extra virgin olive oil and drizzles of balsamic glaze. I loved the buttery, creamy burrata paired with the juicy cherry tomatoes. I also liked how the basil pesto and balsamic glaze gave a bright, herby flavor. For my entree, I opted for the Wood Grilled Chicken Breast. Two generous pieces of tender grilled chicken were served over angel hair pasta tossed in brown butter sauce, alongside roasted cremini mushrooms and green beans. Interestingly, I got a lemony flavor in the brown butter sauce, which was unexpected but surprisingly delicious. I especially enjoyed the roasted cremini mushrooms. These were earthy, meaty and full of flavor! Overall, I really enjoyed my dinner at Sweetwater Tavern. From the flavorful starters to the hearty entree, it was a satisfying first dinner in Dulles. I'm glad I took the hotel receptionist's recommendation. Locals know best!

The food was beautifully presented and the wine pairing was superb. Definitely recommend having them pair your wines. The grilled shrimp was a great start. The sparkling rose made the shrimp taste even better. The goat cheese ravioli was probably my favorite savory dish of the evening. The sweet sage-maple syrup-tomato sauce was fantastic. The Sancerre was pleasant with it, although I thought the ravioli itself was more impressive than the pairing. I had to order bread so the sauce wouldnt go to waste. I ordered the lamb medium rare, but it arrived closer to medium, and initially it was somewhat underseasoned. After adding salt and pepper and getting some of the thyme from the plate into the bite, the lamb became significantly better and worked better with the Châteauneuf-du-Pape. The creamed spinach underneath was delicious on its own, but I didn't enjoy it with the wine. Interestingly, the absolute highlight of that wine pairing was the braised garlic. The sweet, mellow garlic and Châteauneuf-du-Pape were wonderful together. Dessert was the highlight of the entire pairing. The lavender ice cream was outstanding, the Chantilly surrounding it was light and delicious, and the strawberry sauce wasn't overly sweet. The Sauternes was excellent with the dessert, particularly with the fresh strawberry. This was the pairing where the food and wine truly made each other better. Even though I was one of the last diners of the evening, I never felt rushed. My server was very attentive and social which I love. While there are some good things about the place, which I will list first, there are some not-so-good things. The good --- When we arrived, the place wasn't busy at all. There were a few people sitting outside. The dining room was empty. Throughout our meal, we had the place to ourselves. Our server greeted us and seated us. Masha was very friendly, polite, and efficient. The dining room was decorated with artificial hanging plants. Also, there was a large mural of Eve holding the apple with the serpent coaxing her to eat it. Now for the not-so-good things --- getting to the entrance wasn't easy, especially for my husband, who is waiting to get his knee replaced. To reach the entrance, you had to walk down a paved path with descending steps after parking the car. Upon entry, we had to climb a somewhat long staircase. On the way out, Masha stated that there was a ramp and pointed to a door leading to the kitchen and said we could go out that way. We chose to exit the way we entered. Also, they don't have any printed menus -- just a QR code to scan for the menu. We found that to be off-putting. Fortunately, we had already decided what to order before coming here. We chose to start with "Zaytoun", which consists of "Mixed Pitted Olives Tossed In Extra Virgin Oil. GF". This was a tasty starter. There were a few different types of pitted olives. However, we didn't think that there was any olive oil in the small bowl; rather, it appeared to be brine. For our main course, we both chose "Beef Kofta" which consists of: "Beef rolls served with Lebanese Couscous, Refreshing Tomatoes, Cucumber, & Labneh". The beef kofta was very dry. Growing up, I sometimes had Kofta, and it often turned out quite dry. The kofta did have some kick, and the small amount of very tasty labneh helped mute the spiciness. The Lebanese couscous portion was huge. That, too, helped give moisture to the kofta. This was a filling meal, and we ended up taking some home. Weighing the pros and cons, the cons, alas, outweighed the pros for us.
