The artichoke might be a temporary item as I didn't see them on the on line menu. The pork shoulder was really moist but had been grilled prior to serving giving it a nice little bark on the outside. Our server was as right there to get us drinks and explain the buffet since we had never been there. It seafood buffet night. We started with the salad bar which was so yummy (there's not many left around). We decided to have the food bar. Big disappointment!!!! The fresh was rubber and seemed very frozen tasting. The ribs were on the menu and they were so tasty. If we return again, we will only do the salad bar. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly.

We were seated in the nice covered outdoor patio and enjoyed the smell from the smoker. We ordered a pulled pork (BBQ in my book!) platter with fried okra and collards, a chicken platter with baked beans (which contained chunks of brisket!) and potato salad and on a whim, ordered the special of the day (a smoked bologna sandwich with cole slaw, cheese and BBQ sauce). The food was all delicious and served in health portions. That smoked bologna sandwich, however, stole the show!! It's been over a week and I'm still talking about that thing!! Erin was our server both nights and she was so go that first night we requested her again Saturday night. Outstanding service both times. Friday night my beautiful wife got the sea bass which was perfectly cooked and delicious. I got the small cheese pizza (smoked chicken, mushrooms and onions) which was HUGE! Best pizza I have had in a LONG time. Saturday night, my beautiful wife got the fish and chips with a side of coleslaw. Delicious. I got the shredded beef tacos with a side of coleslaw, also very delicious. Great view of lake lure, not too loud and great atmosphere. Manager and waitress, top notch. Highly recommend.

The check-in is in the same building as Legends On The Lake. We decided to stay for dinner so it only took 15 minute wait to get a patio table overlooking Lake Lure. Ben had the Smash Burger with a salad & I had the Chilean Sea Bass. It was outstanding! Pan seared on the medium well side on a bed of pasta it was truly exceptional! Very large, meaty, juicy, tender. They did need just a touch of salt. All-in-all a very satisfying lunch. It won't be another two years before I'm back.
