I went there to honor my granddaughter on what would be her 20th birthday. Enjoyed great food and great service.

The pizza was great, however I was not impressed by the roasted chicken and pasta served with the chicken parm. The chicken was tough, not tender enough and the mashed potatoes tasted like cafeteria mashed potatoes. I barely even hate half of it, which is disappointing because of how expensive it was. The chicken parm was good but the sauce on top of it was nothing special. The pizza was the best part of the night, great ratio if sauce, cheese, and basil.

We had a lovely lunch here on the patio. No reservations and had no trouble getting a table on a Sunday. They had an extensive gluten free menu which was a big win. Our server, Dara was amazing - very attentive, friendly and helpful. We ordered arugula beet salad split into two which was a delightful start. For our mains we got salmon - one with risotto and other with beetroot hummus, quinoa, spinach. The fish tasted great. We also had herb roasted chicken with mashed potatoes which was cooked perfectly. Our very clean plates is a compliment to the chef! We had a nice afternoon over wholesome and delicious lunch. The server and the kitchen staff did an excellent job keeping our allergies in mind. Absolutely going back.

    A GREAT Old Fashioned

Went to meet some childhood friends for dinner and this was selected by one of the group. Very nice place. It is well laid out and provides good space and a great ambiance. The bar was a little smaller than I expected but was fine. The bartender was very good natured. She made me feel at home and produced one of the better Old Fashioned cocktails that I have had in a while. When everyone got there, we were seated at a nice table for 8. Our server was fantastic. He was always at the ready. We started with calamari, carpaccio, mussels and some focaccia. All the appetizers were great. Lots of flavor and a great balance of spice. I got the fig and Roquefort salad with salmon and it was perfect. The salmon was cooked to order and spiced well. Value was great considering the quality of the food. I would give this place a try if you're in the area.

My friend and I checked Cibo Matto Caffe that serves Italian food. We started off with their complementary bread and oil. The oil came with three types of toppings and you can make it how you want. It was good. For the app, we split a Caesar salad, it was really good! For entree, my friend got chicken and broccoli and I got the spaghetti and meatballs, both delish. Then ended lunch with a crème brûlée, also amazing Overall 8/10.

Stopped here for a late lunch on a Saturday and they were able to seat us immediately. Even then there were a substantial amount of people in the restaurant. The restaurant has a very nice and Italian ambiance. It was decorated very cutely. Shortly after being seated, our waitress greeted us. She was very nice throughout our experience there. This was a very simple and flavorful lunch for us. I could see that during prime hours that this restaurant could be very busy

My friends and I often dine here. Most recently it was a goodbye dinner for my bestie moving to TN. We were seated near the door and although very cold out, wasn't too drafty. Server greeted us promptly and offered drink menu and specials. We both opted for the espresso martini. It was the milky type, not too sweet and hit the spot. We had to ask for bread as it wasn't offered. There is a $3 charge for bread, although worth it, I'm not accustomed to being charged for bread anywhere. It's very good so if not offered, be sure to ask. I opted for the goat cheese salad with blackened chicken added. It was okay but the salad portion was small. I expected more salad for $25. It was a wheel of fried goat cheese with a small side of salad and two grilled pieces of chicken. I split the crème brûlée for dessert and had a teeny tiny cappuccino for $5. I wish it was a little bigger because it was delicious. For 5 of us to dine, have 1 drink, 4 of us had coffee and split desserts it was $280. It's a little pricey for Mansfield but good quality food and great service. Portions are average size.

Ask the Community - Cibo Matto Caffe

Come December what type of heated outdoor dining will you offer?

They have an outdoor patio with both freestanding and ceiling mounted heat lamps. We ate here outside during December, and it was fine.

    Gluten free menu?

Sadly it seems this week they just stopped our favorite gluten free flourless torte!

Does anyone know what time they start serving dinner? I'm going at 430pm with a friend and I would like to know which menu to look at ahead of time. Thanks!

Dinner starts at 4 except for Sunday's when the menu is dinner all day, but they will accommodate you regardless of the time of day, you can order off both the lunch and dinner menu

There's a nonna back there that knows what she's doing! The restaurant has two sides and is cozy. The wine selection is excellent, and our waiter recommended a Montepulciano that was so phenomenal we ended up ordering a whole bottle. We're still craving it days later. We started with the oysters, which I believe were from Wellfleet, and they were outstanding. They were meaty, fresh, and had no brine/salty taste at all. Even the bread with olive oil was memorable because it was perfectly salted and soo flavorful. For my entree, I had the chicken piccata with house‑made gnocchi--- simply divine. Truly one of the best gnocchis I've ever had! Wish there was more of them though. This was our first time trying the restaurant and it was SO good. Everything from the food, the wine, the service, it made for a fantastic experience. We'll definitely be back!

Our server, Cameron, was super friendly and chatty--all around personality plus. My one initial concern would be that he forgot to put our bread order in and we were drinking martinis on empty stomachs! Yikes! But we all came away none the worse for wear. The brûléed fig bruschetta special was amazeballs. Friends enjoyed salads. My chicken piccata was exceptional--tender and delicious, and the browned butter gnocchi were delicious--moreso the next day as leftovers. The lasagna was "different" but reportedly delicious as well. The spaghetti and meatballs were also hailed as delicious. I was a bit surprised that the house didn't comp for the birthday cheesecake (like Capital Grille and others do), but it didn't stop us from enjoying one of the most delicious slices ever. More lemon curd, please! The trio of gelato (vanilla, pistachio, salted caramel) were terrific as well.

I thought the band was good in all of its incarnations. There is a definite music theme throughout the décor. If you wanted to watch the band and could not get a seat in the front room, there were a couple of cctv's showing the performers in the back and bar area. There is a full bar of about 20 seats with a decent selection of draft beer. When we were there the place was packed and the two bartenders were doing a good job of keeping up with the demand. There were about ten tables and no waitresses. You can order at the bar but I believe a sign is needed to direct one to the appropriate place to order. Food is available.
