I sometimes go here after church. The food is meh. But the only thing that makes it good is the parmesan cheese. The soup gives off some comfort. If you're sick, Go for the soup. Best. thing. ever. The service sometimes comes along to pick up your empty plates. They also pick up trash and sweep it up off the floor. The ambiance is a tad bit too noisy, though. Especially in the opening hours. I don't know if it's nostalgia talking or if it's factual, but I definitely feel like Cici's used to be better when I was a kid. I have such great memories of going there with my mom and grandma, and them letting me borrow money for the arcade. Good times. Nowadays it just doesn't seem the same. To start out with the pizza is just so mediocre, I mean I guess you can only expect but so much when it's only $7 for all you can eat, which is a great price. I will say that they'll make most kinds of pizzas for you, if you ask. That was always a nice touch. I mean there's all different types. I always get the bbq pizza or the buffalo one. The cinnamon bun dessert is actually kinda good, by the way. It's just the pizza itself it's great, especially since some of them sit in the heating window for so long. At this location the staff was super friendly and helpful, they also kept the place looking very clean. We have always enjoyed Cicis pizza but today we will no longer be eating at any Cicis pizza. Here is what happened. We stopped in to eat around 2:50pm Sat. Sept 2nd at the 7516 W Broad Street, Henrico, Va 23294 location. The person at the register was very polite and friendly, No issue there. The issue is there was no pizza's to eat. 2 pepperoni slices, 2 curled up pepperoni with jalapenos (They were dry, very dry), 2 slices of an everything pizza and the full mac n cheese that no adult eats. I grabbed a pepperoni and a pepperoni with jalapenos thinking more would be put out. Well I couldn't finish the one with jalapenos it was that old. After eating the pepperoni pizza I looked and still no pizzas had been put out. I got a salad, eat it and still no pizzas were put out, I then got soup and ate it. They put out one pepperoni pizza. 12 in line after they put that one pizza up. I did manage to get one slice of it. I went to Cicis to eat pizza and was only able to get 2 slices of pepperoni and an uneatable slice. My better half got to eat the bread but stated it was bad and she got the one slice of cheese pizza what was beside mac and cheese (full pizza no one eating that was there before we even sat down to eat). She ended up getting a salad just to have something to eat. Customers at other tables were commenting that there was still no pizzas to eat. One at the table beside us stated loudly "There is nothing to "Fing" eat here, Lets go to Denny's and eat" After the customer stated that and me still being hungry I walked up to the cashier and asked for the manager. Again, he was polite and friendly. He got the manager and the manager asked what was wrong. I told him we had been there for 30 minutes and that there were still no new pizzas to eat and that I wanted the corp. office number so I can make a complaint. He refused to give me the number stating he doesn't know it and he wasn't filling to even try to get the number for me. He told me to go to the website it is there. He then wants me to tell him the problem and I try be basically belittles me, stops me in mid sentence and tells me the reason is due to a lot of customers grabbing pizzas. I stated there were never any new pizzas placed out for people to eat. 30 minutes we were waiting for pizza and only 1 pizza put out. As I try to state to him only 1 pizza had been put out and that was gone because everyone was wanting something to eat he again stops me and states we had an order for 30 pizzas. So now he basically stated the stopped all food for the customers in the store for a call in order. I again state that I want the number to the corp office and he refuses, I then asked him his name and he refused to tell me. This is not management material, this is an unprofessional person trying to cover his butt. Lastly I take a picture of him and he tells me I do not have the right to take his picture and demands me to delete it. He then threatens to kick me out if I do not obey him. I can take a picture anywhere I want, I can not post or publish that picture without his consent. That is why I have not attached his picture to this post. SO this manager has shown us the true colors of Cicis pizza. It's we do not care if our customers get to eat, not do we care about them. It's all about the money. This manager should be fired and should be contacting me and apologizing for the way he treated me and how he just ignored the customers. As loud as the one customer yelled the F word and going to denny's because there is nothing to eat he could have stepped up and been a manager. He has lied, insulted, belittled and threatened me just because I wanted to contact the corp office on how Cicis had nothing to offer for over 30 minutes. read more

I stumbled upon this Cici's while on a day trip to Richmond from DC. I had a whole day to kill and while on the highway I saw the restaurant's sign and decided to have lunch there. I had only been to Cicis's in Lansing, MI many years ago and always enjoyed it. For less than $7 you have access to unlimited food which consists of fresh salad, soup, made to order pizza and desserts. The pizzas are rotated out every 15 minutes to guarantee freshness. You can even request a custom made pizza to your liking. They also have free wifi so I was able to get lunch and complete some work while I was there. The staff was very friendly and the restaurant was very clean. I enjoyed my time there and would definitely return when in town. read more

Cici's is cheap, fast, and delicious, the three most beautiful adjectives in the English language. It's a pizza buffet, with salad, pasta, and pizza-y desserts to boot. Considering the mass-production model of it all, the pizza is actually quite good, and it isn't just your typical fare: expect to see macaroni pizza, buffalo chicken pizza, spinach pizza, and all manner of other less-common offerings. They keep the pizzas coming continuously, so even if they don't have what you want now, they probably will in less than 5 minutes. Cici's is for everyone, though many families come since everyone can dine and get full on a tight budget. Whichever side of the "pro-kids/not-so-pro-kids" coin you're on will determine whether this is good or not. Staff members are polite and expedient. No issues there. It's a pretty simple affair coming to Cici's. Just be sure to bring a coupon to make it even cheaper, and come empty! You'll leave quite the opposite. Overall: 4.0 stars ------------- Pros: -Cheap, fast, and delicious. Didn't you read that already? -They keep the place clean and take up dirty dishes fast, quite a system they've got going for them. -If you have kids, they'll love it here. The TV and game room will keep them occupied when they aren't eating. -They've give out a coupon almost every month that lasts the whole month (2 meals for $10 or buy a meal and get a drink free), so cheap gets cheaper! Having seen commercials for years but never having a chance to find one in Upstate NY, I decided to check out Cici's. With any buffet comes initial doubts, but all in all I was pleasantly surprised. --Food: I got about 8 different slices, as seen in my photos. They're all pretty small and light, so thankfully it's all you can eat. My favorites were the square sausage and pepperoni, Mac and Cheese, and the Italian seasoned vegetable. Mac and Cheese is an odd flavored pizza, but somehow it works. My problem with some of the slices is that they were a bit tepid when I consumed them, but such is the fate of a buffet. I will say that for the variety of food offered, be it pizza, pasta, bread, or salad, you can't really go and not find something you like. I wanted to try one of the bacon or chicken pizzas but it didn't seem like there were any on the line when I arrived. They did have an apple crisp dessert pizza which I actually prefer to other chain's dessert pizzas as it almost tastes like a soft yet firm apple pie. The pizza itself isn't anything special in my opinion. It's moderately thin crust with a crunchy crust. They do have other types too like deeper dish slices, so if you're not a fan of the thinner crusts, wait a bit and you might find something you like. The quality of the pizza doesn't seem much higher than that of Pizza Hut or Papa John's, but the true appeal here comes from the myriad of options you have to choose from. --Cost: It was $5. You can eat all you want. You could easily bring your family here and eat to your heart's content for $20. (Unless you have a large family.) --Atmosphere: It's hard to tell how large plaza storefronts are, but Cici's is gigantic. If I had to guess I'd say there are about 50 tables, and the place is pretty clean. I was comfortable eating at a clean booth. --Service: It's a buffet that you pay at the door, so interaction among staff is a minimum. I will say that the woman that greeted me was nice and complemented on a graphic tee I was wearing at the time. --Overall: Cici's was more or less what I was expecting, but in a good way. The pizza isn't great, but it's not bad either. There are a lot of choices and it's inexpensive, which is a nice combination. The pizza isn't going to win awards, but it will get a 3.5 from me and I'll probably return at some point in the future. read more

TL;DR: Cheap pizza for a cheap price If you come in here expecting high end pizza, five star service, or the nicest dining experience, then you came to the wrong place. Any time I go to food chains like this, I know what to expect. The food isn't going to be out of this world delicious, the services is going to be decent at best (Except the front of house manager. He was just a delight), but it'll be cheap and get me full. Cici's is nice because they've tried to make their buffet have a better assortment of pizzas (veggie, meat lovers, flat breads, dessert, stuffed crust). Their pizza has always been bland and lacked flavor almost like a cheap pizza out of the grocery store. But over the years they have since then plummeted. This may be a great spot to take your kids. My fiancee and I were always teased in New Jersey with Cici's commercials but there weren't any nearby. We finally got to visit one at the Merchant's Walk a few months ago and we have been recovering from the chemical onslaught ever since. After eating there, our DNA structure got altered or something. Let me say this about Cici's - there should be an ambulance on call for the safety of the patrons. If you are diabetic and eat there, you will die. On a lighter note, I thought Cici's lived up to, or even exceeded my expectations. The price is crazy cheap for the sheer amount of american indulgence you can inflict on your body. Here's an example of what I ate there: -2.5 slices of white pizza -2 meat slices of "deep dish" -3 slices of macaroni 'n cheese pizza, -1.25 bowls of alfredo cavatappi -7 cheese bread sticks -2.5 wedges of brownies -1 apple pastry, only because there were no other pieces -2 cheese pastries -a bundle of gooey cinnamon buns -2 slices of barbeque chicken pizza I felt weird afterwards. It is like the first time you drink and don't know your limits and embarrass yourself in front of everyone. Clearly everyone else there were seasoned pros, keeping their cool by eating what they already know. We got owned so hard by Cici's dark food-magicks, my fiancee could barely drive back home. They told the people not eating that they had to leave because it is a buffet and they could not watch them, implying they were going to take food. This policy is rude and inconsiderate. I usually go to Cici's when I am really hungry; just for the fact that you can eat so much with just regular price of $5.99. I love pizza and they have varieties of different pizza and customer can also order their own with their own personal with their favorite toppings without paying extra money for it. Cici's gives great customer service and they are very clean facility. Sometimes it gets overcrowded and you might have to wait a bit when your pizza is cooking as there are more mouths to it than pizza slices. There is also a play area where the kids can play games after eating. They also have variety of deserts but I usually eat the cinnamon bun. I love eating their bread sticks mostly made with cheese. OK so the food looked good. I came in with my cousin who has autism and thankfully he has a job, but earns very little. He had a groupon for two dinner buffets and since I wasn't hungry at all because of medication, after my cousin gave him the groupon print out which he already paid for, I asked the manager John if he could write on the print out that it was good for another meal since I wasn't eating. i figured my cousin could use it next time. I find it hard to believe that this manager did not have the ability to write a note somewhere allowing us to come back another time and get the other meal which had already been paid for. But he said he couldn't do it. Said it would mess up his numbers. I find it hard to believe that this would actually mess up his numbers, but OK. I tried asking him if one of his employees who was a friend of my cousin could have the meal. just wanted someone to benefit from this paid for meal. he said that they eat free. then he gave me the coupon back and said I could just use it later, but as it would expire in three days, I asked him to write a note saying no expiration. he said he couldn't. why not? he gave no explanation. I don't know why he couldn't just help us out...I then asked someone waiting near the door if they would like the groupon, and at this point John the manager became visibly upset and asked me what I was doing.
