This place has become a traditional stopping spot for my parents, siblings and I. The waitresses are amazing, professional, great personality and above all they make you feel at home. They always treat my parents and I with so much courtesy. The food is delicious, the meat's well cooked. I usually go for Caldo de Siete Mares and it's always more than enough. I just walked out of this place . Walked in, every table was dirty. My friends and I literally stood up at front for 5 minutes not one greet from any of the 4 waitresses working . Since no one greeted us , we made ourselves into a booth a stacked up the dirty plates ourselves in hopes that one of the waitresses would make their way to our table and help us. We sat there another 10 minutes , no one acknowledgement . We are not ones to write yelp reviews, we are understanding since we come from the restaurant industry ourselves , but this was just awful. It was ok. I got the molcajete. Nothing amazing like previous reviews said but to each their own. Salsa was good. Kind of disappointed that they fill the molcajete with beams and chorizo. This food is great! So far I've had the Cosido which is the best I've ever had outside of my mom's kitchen. Hot, steamy, lots of melt in your mouth beef and perfectly cooked veggies, not over cooked. The shrimp cocktail and mixed seafood cocktail is delicious, flavorful, ice cold like it's supposed to be and packed with fresh seafood and veggies. My kids love the enchilada plates and the Longostinos in garlic butter which are basically medium sized shrimps with the heads on sautéed in garlic butter and seasonings. The Shrimp Costa Azul plate are the right size (these are the traditional bacon wrapped shrimp stuffed with cheese) and we'll cooked all the way through. I've found that if the shrimps are too large they're usually not cooked all the way through. The cherry in top of this restaurant are the prices, totally affordable for fresh, quality mexican seafood. I've read some other reviews and noticed eveyone agrees the food is delicious except the service sucks. I don't agree about the service but I do know service could be hit or miss at most mexican restaurants. In my opinion the worst located mexican spots have the best tasting food and the worst service mexican restaurants usually means it's authentic, lmao! But that's just a fun way to view things when you're on the hunt of some AUTHENTIC DELICIOUS MEXICAN FOOD! read more

Hands down the best Mexican food in Riverside. The flavor is authentic, fresh and homemade. Their salsa are delicious but make sure to ask for the trio of salsas! I'm taking one star away because occasionally the service is lacking and when they play music it's just way too loud and you can't enjoy the company you're with . Food though... 5 stars. Its been over 40 min since we got here and sat and our food hasn't been delivered. This is my first time here Since our arrival no one greeted me and my brother. We waited for someone to guide us to a table or at least a waiter to tell us we could take any table. Finally after a while that no one said nothing we took a table. It took about 15 min for a waiter to come and finally let us know that in order to see the menu we had to scan a barcode from a peace of paper sticked behind the napkins and covered by the salsas. How would we even know about that barcode Finally we get our food and I am not sure if it was good or it was actually that we were so hungry by the time we got our food we felt it was good. The food is delicious! We ordered menudo and birria and they were both extremely good and very authentic. They give you a huge portion with chips and salsa and homemade flour/corn tortillas. I am giving this restaurant a 2 star because our food took over 30 minutes to get to our table. The live music was a little to loud for 11:00 a.m. the food did need some added flavor. The parking was horrible they share the parking with other businesses. The waitress was very pleasant cannot complain about her service. Been getting lunch here at least once a week since September of 2015. The food is delicious! Hand made corn tortillas? yes, please!!! The staff is always friendly. The only con is that the place is a bit dirty and out dated....but the food is what matters right? Plus I always order to go since I take it back to work and eat. Ok, my friends had told me about this place so thought what the heck would try tonight. So me and my friends go inside. Place looks dirty outside of building .. inside a large room with tables close together.. No one greeted us or the people in front of us. So we just went and found a table and sat down. We waited and several Hispanic people came in and sat down around us. The waitress quickly came and gave them menus and offered them something to drink, still ignoring us. We sat there for about 15 minutes ignored even after people of other ethnicity were waited on while we watched being still ignored. OMG then it got worse all of a sudden the music started blaring the speaker was right above our table. It was like being in a club - unreal we could not even hear each other talk-the waitress finally gave us this look and came up and slammed down some menus. One of my friends asked her if it was possible to turn the music down a tad because we could not even hear, she stormed off. We sat there and sat there music still blasting and no service.. after 30 minutes .. we said to hell with it and walked out. I hate to say it but I think they don't care to wait on non Hispanic people after all it was clear that we were the only group not getting waited on! I will never come back to this filthy dumb with rude waitresses and loud music blasting like being at a club, it is not necessary to have the music so loud even the person beside you cant hear you speaking. Can't wait for Casa Mota to reopen -- they know how to treat people of all races and the food I am sure is way better. read more

Even as we drove by, we didn't think this was a restaurant. As we pulled in, the 2 front parking spaces were full, so we pulled in to the back.
