Great little Mexican restaurant right in Bristol center. They just opened about a year ago, so this was our first visit. Quick 15 minute drive from most spots on Newfound lake. I've come to the conclusion that finding a Mexican restaurant in New Hampshire with flavor, aka spice, is not possible because restaurants are accommodating a specific clientele, those with limited ability to handle such flavor so I will not hold that against this place. With that said, our food lacked flavor but it was still good. Our server was a well groomed young man with apparently good genes or great skin products, I'll never know. I will say however that this place has the best margaritas. It was so nice to order a margarita that I could actually taste liquor in. I'm usually picky and prefer that a Mexican restaurant makes their own margarita mix but I didn't ask today because I had other things on my mind. I noticed that the mix came from a machine but I don't know if that means they didn't make it themselves or not. Regardless, my margarita was SO GOOD. I had two and I never have two but my husband was driving so I didn't care. The point is, I'd go back and try something else, asking them to make my dish spicer, which I'm sure they'd be happy to do as they were all so nice and accommodating but it's the drinks that will bring me back. read more

The bartender is TOP NOTCH! waiting on tables, making and serving drinks, taking orders, serving appetizers. This place has their sh*t together. It was a bit difficult at first, however I do understand there was 20 of us without a reservation, they were quick to try and accommodate us with what they had. Just excellent. Believe the hype. It's really pretty amazing this place exists in Bristol NH. The table-side guac is amazing and after a few visits nothing we've tried has been less than excellent. The one downside is there is no mix and match on the tacos. You'd love to be able to have one chicken and one beef, but they just don't operate that way. It's like, you're not in Bristol, NH. You've been teleported to Mexico City! I walked in one weeknight about fifteen minutes before they closed, and found a seat at the bar. Feeling a little bad about my arrival time I asked if the kitchen was even open. The nicest bartender tells me that he and his staff are all here for me, and that I should get whatever I'd like, and stay as long as I want. It was one of the better welcomes I've experienced at a restaurant, and here I was half expecting them to kick me out. Turns out the bartender is one of three owners, all onsite the night I was there (in fact, they all stopped over and said hello). They're all from Mexico, and they know food. I couldn't get them to stop taking about all the wonderful dishes they grew up on. It was quite entertaining. I couldn't believe I was in little old Bristol, NH. The food... I ordered a steak burrito. When it was presented to me I thought they had the wrong table. It was twice the size of any burrito I've ever seen, certainly of Chipotle's. And oh boy was it delicious. It had depth, in flavor and even in texture. I don't even remember what was in it, but that's more my age than anything. I just remember thinking, this has to be the best burrito I've ever had! How could this be? In downtown Bristol, NH? I don't know. Its a mystery to me. But I really hope they thrive. I'm sooo pulling for them. First of all, it is great to have a new flavor in Bristol! They did an amazing job renovating the inside from the previous pizza bar type of place. They really did put some love in the decor. It looks like they used a lot of reclaimed wood and it is kind of a wooden barn style. My wife and I sat at the bar ordered sangria. They nailed it! I love sangria when it is made in large batches with fresh fruit soaking in it. This was just so good and fresh tasting. I ordered the table side made guac. That was so good and I had a bit of control of what I liked and didn't like in guac, or how hot I wanted it. That went great with their chips and salsa. My wife ordered the chicken tacos and they were amazing. I love that fall apart chicken that has been slow cooked in spices. I ordered the shrimp tacos. They lost a star because there wasn't hardly any shrimp. The shrimp seemed large, fresh and cooked perfectly. Then they chopped it up into bits to put in the taco. My guess is there was no more than 1 large shrimp meat in each taco. So that was too bad. The rice was great and the refried black beans were interesting.. My wife liked them so I guess they are just not my thing. I will be back and I will get the fajitas next time. I saw that picture of shrimp fajitas on Yelp and that looks amazing. read more

We passed by this place a few times while riding in the area and decided to stop in today. I treated myself to the table side prepared guacamole while we looked over the menu and I was an instant fan. The only snag was I changed my first choice of three tacos into another dish because of a ridiculous rule ( shared by other restaurants ) of not being able to mix and match. Look if all your taco dishes are the same price there is simply no logical reason why I shouldn't be able to order one of each meat offering. Since I could not however I went with the Molcajete and let me just say it was delicious! All the meats were tender and the sauce was layered with flavor. Was looking for some dinner after a long day of summer fun and not being from the area I had no clue where to go...Yelp to the rescue! The reviews on here sounded great so we tried it out and were very very pleased! The complimentary chips and salsa were decent. The Salsa has a nice level of spice to it. The chips didn't seem to be home made but from a bag...but they were heated which was nice. We ordered the table side made Guacamole and it was PERFECT! Some of the best guac I've ever had! The menu has a decent selection of Tacos, burritos, fajitas, and a bunch of specialty meals. There's something for everyone here and my vegetarian fiancé was very happy to find a Vegi burrito. My Carne Azada was grilled perfectly and had some incredible flavor to it! And best of all the service was incredible. Everyone was extremely pleasant and willing to make you feel welcome. I guess restaurants are struggling but we had a really bad experience last night. We ordered guacamole and chips to start. After an hour of sitting at an outside table, we finally flagged our server down and she said "oh, you never got them?" Uh, nooo... she then proceeded to explain that bringing the guacamole was not her job, it was the hostess's job and The hostess is slow. The hostess comes by 10-15 minutes later and drops a container of guacamole on the table and leaves - we had to call after her and say "where are the chips?" And she looked put out. Several minutes later, chips were dropped off. No cutlery or napkins given until ten minutes after entrees arrived 1.5 hours after we arrived. Entrees were mediocre at best. Chicken taco salad was not fresh with burnt, tasteless chicken. Two hours of waiting at our outdoor table listening to traffic gun their engines up the hill and just wanting to leave. When they finally gave us the order, no one gave us an apology for the lateness. When we got home, the messed up our order and gave us the wrong salad as well. So disappointing! It's great to have a new Mexican restaurant in the area! We had heard good things from friends so decided to try this today for lunch. Cute place, nice atmosphere, and extensive menu. I was never in the place in its previous version but this looks like a place you could hang out with friends. PROS: The food was very good and the service was great. Willie was very friendly, even though it was clear that he was very busy trying to serve everyone indoors and we decided to eat out on the patio to enjoy the nice sunny day. We both ordered off the lunch menu - Patti got the Taco Loco with steak and I got the Flautas with the pork. The Taco Loco is essentially a taco bowl - one VERY large taco - filled with a variety of veggies. Not quite a taco, if that's what you're looking for, and not a taco salad either. The shell was clearly freshly deep fried, nice and crisp, and the meat was substantial. The refried black beans made the meal. My Flautas included 3-4 small rolled corn shells that were fresh and deep fried, covered with lettuce and some pico. The pork was delicious, very crispy. We sat outside on the little patio (5 tables of 4?) which was probably a little tough for Willie since everyone else was inside and he seemed to be working solo. CONS: My only complaints with the Flautas would be that it would have been nice to have a side of salsa or a bit more of the side veggies. Without much sauce, it was just a little dry - maybe I was expecting something more like pork carnitas with some sauce? (admittedly, this is my own bias. I like foods with sauces or wet sides - I just find some things too dry and harder to swallow). The only other complaint I might have is that the prices seem a little high for the area and for Mexican food. Maybe they're starting catering for the tourists and will be offering some specials for the locals in off season. Granted. we have VERY few options for good Mexican food in the area so we will be back for dinner! The list of house specialties look really good and it's nice to see so many menu items that go beyond the standards. The lunch menu was a little more limited to some basic items, at $8,99 each, although again without the standards (burrito, tacos, etc). We got two beers, two lunches, and the free chips and salsa for $30. Not a bad deal. But not a deal either. read more

We came on a Saturday evening and the place was packed with diners and others picking up takeout. We were seated after a 20 min wait during which we enjoyed our first round of margaritas and chatted with others in the waiting area. The menu is more than adequate in scope and, while it contains many of the usual Tex-Mex items found at other Mexican restaurants, there is a wide selection of what I would have to call Mexican Gormet. I ordered a shrimp entree and my partner had fish. Both were cooked to perfection, tasty and portions more than adequate in size. I would be a regular if I lived closer! read more

We've been here twice in less than a week, both times with out-of-town guests. The food is fantastic and fresh, and the portions are very generous (you'll have leftovers for lunch the next day, especially if you indulge in the delicious chips and salsa!) The service was also very good. There were people waiting outside for a table the second night we went. It seems like they would have no trouble filling double the space that they currently have. We love Cielito! The food is better than your typical Mexican restaurant. The guacamole is made at your table and is fantastic. Actually, it's too good because I can't stop myself from eating it. There is a variety of entrees to suit just about everyone and the staff is very friendly and attentive. They have huge burritos, several seafood dishes as well as pork, beef and chicken dishes.
