    Street corn pasta salad

This is my second time at Cinder. We requested an outdoor seat facing the river. The two dishes we ordered were very good. The pork belly is cooked well, and the trick is getting a bite with the rice (spicy) and pineapple with the pork. We also got the smash burger tacos. The sauce was very good, and the flavors complemented each other. Service was good, and the price was reasonable for the quality. ;) They do sell out of items, so go earlier.

Not only a beautiful setting on the river, but the cuisine and servers were fantastic. No matter what you order, get a side of fries! I had the root salad and it was delightful. And the cocktails- super good.

What a wonderful dinner we enjoyed at Cinder. Location on the river with a beautiful outdoor setting. Service was excellent. Food, delicious. The special was burnt ends to substitute anything on the menu. They were smoked perfectly. What a joy

Stopped for an early dinner, we sat outside right by the river and it was beautiful. The patio and outside area are gorgeous. The burnt ends fried rice was delicious, smoky, sweet and the right amount of spice! The naan tacos were also delicious with fresh naan bread. The Moscow mule was really good, the patio is dog friendly also! Our waitress was friendly and helpful!

Cinder is a great stop in Westerly. We came in for a light dinner, admittedly I wasn't even hungry, but when I saw jalapeño cheddar corn bread on the menu (which was amazing by the way) I knew I had to make room. I got the summer salad which was fresh and vibrant, I loved the creamy dressing it came with. The real winner for me was my husband's fried rice, I couldn't stop picking at it the entire time we were there. Delicious, not too greasy, fresh pineapple. Really really good. The restaurant itself is very modern and new feeling, service was very quick but the place isn't huge. They had a really nice outdoor patio that would be great in the warmer summer days.

We actually dined at Cinder in July, but our experience was so wonderful I thought I'd share it here. First off, the lively yet laidback vibe of the place makes for a nice culinary experience. The exceptional food quality and diverse offerings stand out among most restaurants in the area. My husband is still raving about the burnt ends. He had them added to his salad. He liked them so much that we plan to visit again in the near future even though the restaurant is 45 minutes away! Our lovely waitress shared recommendations and delivered our food and drinks promptly. We will definitely be coming back!

I don't normally send drinks back, but the margarita I ordered just wasn't going down well. When I mentioned that I'd like to have what my date was having, I was told they would take it away but leave it on the tab. I explained, as a former food server, I have never made a guest pay for something they were unhappy with, especially something they were not going to consume. Instead of the waiter resolving this himself, he fetches the bartender, who argues the drink was made how it was supposed to be and "we don't do sampling here." After I explained to him that, being currently unemployed, I don't feel good being made to pay for something that I was not going to consume in a restaurant, he apologized, made a different drink and fetched me my check that I asked for. Amigos, you should know this is appalling service. I won't be back and hopefully others will gain some perspective on this experience and judge accordingly.

You'd be right, there are restaurants here serving such standard cuisine, but what makes a trip to the Boro special is a trip to Milagro Cafe, serving the best Mexican food and drink in Southeastern Connecticut. Having eaten in dozens of Mexican restaurants from Texas to NYC over the years, my wife Pat and I were thrilled to find Milagro: sure, it has traditional burritos and tacos dishes, but the chef's take combining Mexican fare with an American twist is special. Last night I had braised beef enchiladas, while Pat chose roasted pork with tomatillo and cactus sauce-- both incredible. And the drinks! Milagro Cafe has a truly amazing bartender in Rebecca who, given her talents with margaritas, would be a renowned mixologist if she were in Manhattan ( although she'd never let anyone call her that.) She creates an amazing array of original margaritas, whether her classic Patron ( my go-to) or one of her seasonal creations ( Pat loved Rebecca's mixed berry margarita, a summer selection)...better than any we've ever had, anywhere. When you add in a warm, professional and attentive staff led by Theresa, who provides service, a smile and smarts with everyone who enters the cafe, you have in Milagro Cafe one of the best reasons to visit the Boro. Stonington's still.got its rustic charms, but in Milagro Cafe it's got spice too!

We tried the chips and salsa and steak tacos and the house margaritas. The chips were homemade toasted tortillas, crisp, brown and salty. There were three salsas. Green, red and tomato pico. Buttermilk Fried Chicken had super crisp skin and was executed and presented perfectly, great tasting together with the accompanied pickled vegetables and hot-honey butter.
