The boyfriend is probably more qualified to write this review because all I've had from here is the granola and the monster cookie...and let me tell ya, that cookie really was a monster. It was like a combination of cookies all rolled into one that was full of oats, chocolate chips, raisins, and a whole bunch of other stuff that I can't even remember. The only problem with picking the monster cookie was that I didn't get to try all the rest of their plate-sized cookies! And the granola was also very good. It's on the softer side (i.e. not crunchy), and it comes in a bag and is full of big chunks. It sort of seems like an oatmeal raisin cookie broken up into pieces. On the whole very good and stocked with lots of sweets, so if you're in the area it's a good place to satisfy the sugar craving. read more

I love cookies and thus, I love Cinnamon Works. The Monster cookie is amazing. Their gluten-free options are fantastic. I didn't even know this place was called "Cinnamon Works." Everyone I know just refers to it as "that really good gluten-free cookie place in the Market." Go grab a delicious sandwich from the Three Girls Bakery and then walk the few steps over to Cinnamon Works and pick out a cookie for dessert. Then head over to the park and make it a picnic. 5 stars for the gluten-free monster cookie. 3 stars for the gluten-free cinnamon roll--because it was too dense. It's a bit touristy to do, but one of the first places that I came for a snack when I moved to Seattle was Cinnamon Works. Aww, the nostalgia of snacking on one of their cookies and walking around Pike. The gf baked goods here are much better than Flying Apron or Nuflours because they don't taste like garbanzo beans or coconut+dust. At Cinnamon Works, the gf cookies taste like real cookies! We came here for the vegan options and we were not disappointed. We got the vegan sticky buns and a vegan snicker doodle. The sticky buns were great but the snicker doodle was the best I've ever had and it was bigger than my hand. The staff were friendly and quick. I was on my way out of the market and the delicous smell of cinnamon buns caught my attention. I doubled back to see what it was and noticed massive buns of all different varieties. I grabbed their standard one and told myself that I would just try a tiny piece and then share the rest with my husband. He was so disapointed when he found out that one bite led to two and so on. I was pretty excited to see a vegan cinnamon roll come up in my search on Yelp while staying in downtown Seattle. I bought one vegan cinnamon roll ($4) -- it was HUGE. It was definitely better than Cinnaholic (Berkeley) - but reminded me more of one of those snail-style doughnuts. It was somewhere between a raised doughnut and a cinnamon roll, without a lot of cinnamon and no raisins. It was ok but not very flavorful. I'd check out other vegan options at Cinnamon Works but my heart is stuck on Wildflower (Eugene) for best vegan cinnamon rolls right now. read more

Pike Place Market is very touristy and mostly vegan UN-friendly, though Cinnamon Works had a good variety of vegan baked goods, from cookies to scones to muffins. I enjoyed my vegan chocolate chip cookie ($3.50) which was huge and came loaded with walnuts. It had a great, soft texture and was the perfect food in the middle of the afternoon on Seattle's waterfront. read more

For about a year now, I've been meaning to try out their pumpkin cookie which landed on the Seattle Foodie 100 list. I was warned that it was huge and super sweet. My calorie shame prevented me from stopping by on numerous occasions. You know what else prevented me from stopping by? All of the advertisements for vegan and gluten free baked goods. For those of us who eat bacon, butter, and eggs, vegan and gluten-free substituted baked goods are usually a turn off. I appreciate that they cater to a special needs crowd. I'm just not in that crowd. If a food typically has gluten in it, I don't care how much you try to spin it into a "good" gluten free food. It's just not the same. Fortunately the item on the foodie list isn't one of those substitution dishes. The pumpkin cookie (with optional frosting for $.50 extra) really was just as huge as I was warned. I got mine with icing since I felt that it needed to be enjoyed the way nature intended it. I think I got maybe 10 whole bites out of that thing over 2 days. It was tasty, but it was very sweet. It reminded me of a pumpkin muffin vs. a pumpkin cookie. It was very soft, and baked just right. It was just a bit much for me. I think I'd only order it again if I had a friend or three to share it with. It just starts to be "too much" after a few bites into it. Adam from Man vs. Food might even have an issue downing that whole thing in 15 minutes or so. Diabetics be warned! :P read more

Whenever I take a visitor down to the Market, I always stop here to get one of the cookies, either the chocolate chip or the snicker-doodle. I really didn't care much for their cinnamon buns, but I think I am just spoiled by the Cinnabon-style movement. Ok, in all fairness of this review, I got here late in the day so it was pretty picked over. But with that being said, I have had so much better baked goods than this, especially gluten-free. I got the Gluten Free Pumpkin cookie and it was good, but it was too crumbly. Not dry crumbly either, but moist crumbly, so it just fell into pieces after I took a bite. Half of it went down my shirt, some went to the sidewalk and I was very sad. Then, what was left of it was way too sweet to finish. I ended up throwing the rest away because it was the annoying kind of sweet, not the satisfying. Maybe I just need to get there early in the morning to give this place a five star review, so maybe next time I'm in Seattle I'll try them again. Who knows? read more

OH. MY. GOD. Please get your sweet cravings out of the way from here!!!! Their choco chip cookies are to absolutely die for. Not only are they as big as your head, but DEFINITELY made with tons of love and choco chips ;) We've come back for seconds and thirds every time we're in the area for our sweeet chocolate cravings. Cinnamon rolls are good. Walnuts are good on cinnamon rolls. Cinnamon is good with apple. Gigantic apple cinnamon rolls with walnuts are about the best thing ever. An apple cinnamon roll, dark cherry mocha from the super-crowded Starbucks, and a stroll through Pike Place might be the perfect morning. You should try it. read more

Right in the heart of the public market, this sweets stand is a good place to stop and get a coffee/cookie/cinnamon roll/delicious foods. We got an oatmeal cookie here after our lunch at Market Grill, and that cookie was a good finish to a tasty lunch. The outside of the cookie had a slight crunch while the inside was soft and chewy. It was chalked full of raisins and delicious oatmeal. My husband got a latte and it was kind of small, but it had a good flavor and it went with the cookie well. Cookies the size of one's face. Easily. I quite enjoy large cookies -- the perfect size! -- and these things were definitely large. I bought a pumpkin spice cookie and a chocolate chip cookie and ate both solo. Good thing I worked out that morning. The pumpkin spice cookie had a cakey texture and less spice flavour than I expected. However, the chocolate chip cookie was chock-full of chips and good ol' cookie cheer (and fat, given the translucency of the paper bag in which it came). Yum yum to the choc chip cookie and an ok yum to the pumpkin spice cookie. Another delicious place to stop along Pike Pl. (A sidebar... I'm lucky I live an hour away, or I'd be down there every day, and thus would quickly swell to the size of a hippo. Or perhaps a smallish elephant.) The cinnamon roll I had from here was very good as was the cookie I bought and saved for later. My mom got some sort of bread (I think it was squash bread?) Since this place was named after cinnamon, I figured it would be beck to go with a cinnamon roll. It wasn't nearly as good as I had hoped. The icing they had on it was overly sweet, and the bread was slightly dry. They didn't offer to warm it up for me either, which my have helped out. This is by far the BEST Vegan Pastry shop in ALL OF SEATTLE! Their Vegan Almond Poppy Seed is to DIE FOR! The gluten free pastries have that rice flour taste, but they make all the other flavors SO AMAZING that you can't tell as much as you usually can using alternative baking for food allergies. Seriously the BEST Vegan/Gluten free option in the WHOLE CITY!!! Some of the muffins can be a little rich sometimes since they use oils and no butters but it's still so GOOD!!! They will also bake an order of multiple items ahead of time so you can supply for a meeting, or just stock up so you don't have to drive from the Eastside in search of the most amazing vegan poppy seed muffin every time you get a hankering for it ..which happens quite often! We arrived at the market early in the morning and immediately passed by this stand seeing all of the amazing looking treats. We foolishly then proceeded to walk around the rest of the market in case we found anything better. Spoiler alert. We didn't find anything better. There isn't anything better. By the time we got back 2 hours later they were already running out of certain items. Don't make the same mistake we did. Whenever I go to pike place this is my first stop. I have been coming to cinnamon works for over 10 years now. I always always get one of their giant vegan chocolate chip cookies. I love that they put walnuts in them. I love walking around the market breaking off pieces of my cookie to eat. I am so sad when it's gone but there is always next time. read more

This was my second trip to Seattle and I was hanging out near Pike Place with my cousins. As we were walking towards Pike Place Chowder, our eyes caught sight of the decadent desserts in the display! But what really got my attention was the fact that some of the desserts were vegan! I had to give it a try, so I asked the lady which one was better - oatmeal raisin (vegan) or chocolate chip (vegan). She said, hands down, chocolate chip! No lie! The cookie was moist and yummy! Normally I watch the portion size of the dessert, but I ate this thing up in a heartbeat! So glad I went with my instincts, and the server's advice! This was my first time coming to Seattle, and I wanted some warm, sweet pastries to fill my stomach up. My girlfriend & I stayed in Seattle for 4 days for our Anniversary and we visited Pike's Market every single day we were there. The first 2 days, we would only come by Pike's Market at night, when Cinnamon Works was closed. I was so eager to try it because back in LA, I love eating Cinnabon, so in my mind, I set really high expectations. We finally arrived to Pike's Market in the morning on our third day, I was so hungry & was anxious to finally try Cinnamon Works. We were kind of running out of time, so I only got their $3 Cinnamon Bun (I forgot the actual name of the dish) and I asked to get it heated up. I paid & got my "heated" bun and ate it while my girlfriend was shopping around & ordering clam chowder. I don't know if I was hungry, cold, or it was just $3, but I was definitely not wowed, and I was disappointed that it was not heated at all... I still finished my cinnamon bun, and thought it was still pretty good, but I've certainly had better at Cinnabon... But maybe I was just a bit hangry that day, I would still recommend it for anyone & the fact that there are gluten-free & vegan options added a nice touch to it. I would give it a 7.5/10, but will definitely have to go back & try it again to make sure I'm not missing out on anything. Thank you Cinnamon Works!!! read more

A really good friend of mine told me I had to try the pumpkin cookie from Cinnamon Works. He didn't tell me that I could choose between frosted and unfrosted. When I got there I saw that the cookies were "hugangous" (definition: larger than huge). I figured, I'm going to be consuming all those calories, I should be good and get the unfrosted one. And then I thought "What the heck, I might as well get a frosted one too." And boy am I glad I did. I decided to start with the frosted one. It is just amazing. Just the right amount of pumpkin & spices and soft. It's more like cake than cookie. Cinnamon Works also has several other cookies that are hugangous as well as some normal sized ones. They also carry other baked goods. I haven't tried any of the others yet, but I look forward to visiting Seattle again so I can try them. read more
