Stumbled across this while visiting the market and was immediately drawn in by the HUGE cookies. Plenty of options (although it looked like some of the popular flavors were sold out by 2pm on a Sunday) with both regular and vegan choices available. Ended up picking up the chocolate chip and ginger molasses cookies and they were so delicious with a delightful chewy texture. They keep well too - they survived the flight home and still taste great the next day. The cookies were each a little over $5, but for the size I would say the pricing is fair. Personally I was not offended by the $0.50 card fee. Will definitely be back to try the cinnamon rolls and vegan snickerdoodles! read more

I purchased a gluten-free cinnamon roll and I was underwhelmed for $5.50. The flavor fell flat. I wanted ooey gooey and buttery, but I got none of that. The texture was not like a traditional gluten cinnamon bun, it lacked the chewy texture. It had a bit of a cardboardy aftertaste, so I did not finish it. I have had two outstanding GF cinnamon rolls - Sweet Ali's in Hinsdale, IL and Pushkins in Sacramento, CA - so I know that it is possible to make a really good one. i waited seven years to go back and get the pumpkin cookie.. i mean THE pumpkin cookie. In college I went for a conference and had the BEST pumpkin cookie ever... there is a picture that hangs lovingly in my office of my homie Jamie, two @#$@#$ big pumpkin cookies and me... SIGH. HUGE cookies! GIGANTIC! We got 4 different ones to share. The peanut butter was pretty good. the pumpkin one wasn't great and we ended up throwing that one away. The other two we got just ok: chocolate chip and oatmeal raisin. They are about $4 a piece. Huge cookies don't make up for flavor. The smells wafting down the street from this place is a siren song. But if you're gluten free, ignore it. I was sooo excited to see that they carried speciality items, but was sorely disappointed. I got a (decently big) chocolate chip cookie and a cinnamon roll. The flavor of the cookie was spot on, but was way too crispy. I like my cookies soft and chewy. And the cinnamon roll- rather than being ooey gooey and pillowy - was more like cardboard. (Although once again the flavor was good.) Pass this one. read more

They are one of the best places I have enjoyed gluten free baked goods. Having a wheat allergy does limit the quality of baked goods you can have. I ate here everyday I was in Seattle and probably ate 7 monster cookies during that time And about 5 cinnamon rolls. I read others say the cinnamon roll was dry but all of mine were delicious, literally the whole roll tasted like the middle of a cinnamon roll(the best part). The monster cookie was everything I could imagine, peanut butter, chocolate, butterscotch, oatmeal, gooey and oh so good. I had the pumpkin cookie with icing and it made my coffee experience awesome. I highly recommend going here. My only complaint is they don't ship there baked goods so I could always eat those yummy cinnamon rolls and cookies . Just okay. As other reviews have mentioned, the sizes are massive but the flavors are nothing to write home about. If anything, they are sub-par. I've had the maple frosted cinnamon roll and snickerdoodle cookie. Both were particularly dry; the cinnamon roll was definitely lacking in filling. The highlight of this visit was definitely the maple frosting on the cinnamon roll, which was very pleasantly sweet but not overpowering. It had a nice stickiness, as well. The staff was nice, too, and made sure we had our pastries quick and warm. It was nice that we were able to find some vegan pastry options at Pike Place, but I'll definitely be looking for other options the next time I venture downtown. read more

We discovered this place a year or more ago and were obsessed with their fresh, soft big cookies, especially the chocolate chip cookies. We made a special trip to pikes place last Friday, morning just so we could get cookies at Cinnamon Works, and were really looking forward to it, but this time we were super disappointed after we bought several cookies, different kinds, they were all hard and not fresh at all! It's a must-have spot whenever we visit and we will definitely be coming here more often when we move to Seattle. While wandering Pike Place Market, I finally noticed this stand after passing by it so many times. I guess I always missed it since there's usually a line or crowd near this spot. The cookies are BIG and quite filling. As for the options offered, there's a large selection of regular cookies to vegan friendly cookies. I tried the vegan chocolate chip (even though I am not vegan) and found it to be light and crispy with yummy chocolate chips that melts on your tongue. I started doing my research for my roadtrip up to Seattle, and someone recommended Cinnamon Works for the vegan cinnamon rolls. This place was a couple of blocks from our hotel, so after wandering around for a bit, we decided to get some cinnamon rolls to snack on back at our room. They were all out..EEK! The counter gal gave me a card and told me I could call in the morning, and they could set some aside for us when they are freshly made. The next morning I tried to call, but the phone was always busy. We finally got dressed and walked over. We were rewarded with freshly made cinnamon rolls and extra maple frosting. I love cookies and I'm never too picky with them. I was in Pike's Place just looking for a sweet treat and I decided to stop here. Their cookies looked big and nice so I got the mister cookie. Worst mistake. This was the most over baked and dry cookie I've ever had. It was crunchy and thats not how I like my cookies. It didn't even have much flavor to me. This place was bust. I see a lot of people commenting that the 'gluten free isn't good', and I would like to protest. I have celiac, and it is VERY hard to find bakeries that are both gluten free and are baked in a properly handled environment. It's extremely difficult to find GOOD gluten free baked goods when gluten free is the only thing I can eat, and most people in the area tend to choose gluten free as a diet. While some things are occasionally dry, that is to be expected when most products are additionally dairy free/vegan and fresh baked and kept in a half outdoor shop in usually cold weather. The GF cinnamon rolls were the first cinnamon rolls I'd eaten in 10+ years, and when I tell you I cried, I MEAN it! They were exactly what I was looking forward to, and in addition to that a lot of their other products are too. The staff are always extremely kind and nice to talk to, and it's pretty clear that the shop owner takes care of them. They always offer to put fresh glaze on cookies and cinnamon buns. I always anticipate running down to Pike's on a weekend just to go by Cinnamon Works, and sometimes do it spontaneously when I'm craving something, as I know I can trust the cooking environment. 100% reccomend to celiac friends who don't have a choice between GF and not! read more

Just like you can't judge a book by its cover, you can't judge a cookie by its crust. Looking st pictures of the giant Cinnamon Works cookies, I thought they looked crunchy and unappealing. But when someone offered me half of a monster cookie, I couldn't stop eating it even though I was already super stuffed! Although they might not look it, these cookies are perfectly chewy and dense. I couldn't even tell the monster cookie was gluten free! It was the perfect combination of chocolate chips, peanut butter, oats, nuts, and probably some other things as well--maybe even coconut? The cookies are definitely on the heavier side, so you may want to pick a lighter option if you're trying to save stomach space for some of the other treats in Pike Place Market. I come out of my way to come here sometimes. I live in west Seattle so I'm not always in the neighborhood. But their gluten free monster cookies are amazing. First, they are the size of a child's head! They have everything you would want in them too - oatmeal, chocolate chips, peanut butter, etc. I definitely need to try their other gluten free offerings because if they are all like the monster cookie, look out! Cookie is around $5+ but it's worth it. Its really hard to find gluten free cookies that arent dry, dense, or just not worth eating. Its honestly the best gluten free cookie worth buying.
