This place was great! They have a new menu printed each day with specials. No liquor license yet, but great local coffee! I enjoyed the Cuban pork. They sprinkled the tostones with powdered sugar and I'm hooked! Don't miss this spot if you're in town.

I almost couldn't wait to write this review. We got into Escalante a bit late and most things to eat or shop at were closed. We found this little gym and as soon as we walked in we were cheerfully greeted by the server and seated right away. I ordered the trout nicoise salad (I was craving something fresh after roadside greasy good on our long drive) and my family all got burgers and fries. My salad was AMAZING. Every ingredient tasted fresh and the presentation was gorgeous. I literally said, "I think this is the best potato I've ever had!". The greens were crisp, the soft boiled egg and avocado were perfect. I snuck bites if the burgers and fries, both excellent. They had a small but varied selection of beer on tap, we had the Pilsner and the hefeweizen, both delicious. They had a nice squash based dish I eyed for next time; the availability of veggie dishes was a nice plus. Service was attentive, food came out quickly and man was it delicious. Who knew a food-spoiled Southern California family would find a new favorite restaurant way out in rural Utah!? We will absolutely be back next time we are out this way.

Excellent cheeseburger in the middle of nowhere. This was a quality meal. Thick half pound fresh pressed patty. Lots of bacon. Fresh veggies. The thick cut French fries were excellent. Ask for the fry sauce. It will elevate your fries. Service was prompt and friendly.

Great fun dinner place at the sleepy city of Escalante. We had to order at the catchier and also pick up our utensils to the table. I highly recommend their local smoked meat, both the brisket and the ribs were made to perfection. For sides we took the Mac and cheese, green beans and steak fries, both were really good. We tried the local Moab brewery IPA, I prefer the west coast style better... Anyhow, great choice for dinner !

Cute little place but I'm sad that's about it...the food was quite salty and bland at the same time.

This will be a short one... Order at the counter, and they bring it to you. The bacon cheeseburger was huge and it was delicious! The house salad was good too, just needed a bit more dressing to come with it. Good food and a helpful, customer-oriented staff makes for a great combo! You can't go wrong in this small eatery in the middle of nowhere!

This place really stands over the years. We search out Circle D whenever we are in Escalante. The service is excellent and the food is superb. I love the indoor and outdoor options as well as the window bar tables. I had the baked zucchini squash dish and it was truly outstanding. Hubby had the pork chop with apple slaw and he says "definitely delectable!" He hasn't had a pork chop that good in a long time. Wines, draft beer, and cans. Superb quality in a small town. Open and light ambiance.

    American Breakfast eggs over easy

Nice venue. Just drove over 12 from Torrey, was time to grab something to eat. The folks here are cool, it's 1100 and very quiet mostly families I think. Ordered the American Breakfast, which sadly did not involve pancakes. I really wanted pancakes! Nice touch is that the bathrooms are marked men women and X so it's very inclusive. Melinda behind the counter is sweet and efficient. Breakfast was great. They have Cholula and Tabasco so not ketchup needed! The hash browns are chunks of whole potato with skin on, and the skin is generally nice and crispy. The eggs were as ordered, bacon crisp, and sourdough toast topped it off and helped wiped up every bit left. Also ordered a latte, was creamy with a fine head of foam. Stayed hot through the meal too! I don't get to escalante very often, but this looks like a keeper!

Found Circle D on accident and so glad we did! Taco salad with brisket just hit the spot. Nice, cold Hazy IPA on tap. Perfect pour. Awesome homemade chips too. My buddy had the chili and loved it. Cool ambience, outdoor seating, piano inside! Could be dressy or casual. All good. Thanks B and S for a great meal in Escalante, UT!

Is this place ever open? I went in earlier and they said they'd open at five. Just visited again and they sent me away again.

The restaurant has lots of seating and feels very laid-back and great for the end of a long day on the lake. I had one of the craft beers, Camp fire kolsch, which was delicious. For food I got the Hot Honey chicken sandwich, grilled- which was fantastic. We ordered a side of fries as the burgers do not come with fries. As for service, our server was very to-the-point, not quite friendly but not rude. It was okay for me because I was ready to be done for the day, but most of our party didn't feel welcomed by our server's attitude and we're all generally easy going. We paid our bill with cash, when our server came back with the receipt he dropped it with us and left with the change. I try to make a point of tipping generously, at least 20% but I'm not really okay with someone helping themselves to a 40% tip. He came back after a few minutes of us sitting there (wondering if he forget or really took off with our change) and gave us our change- we still left 20% for him because maybe it was just a forgetful moment... All in all, good food and drink, service could use some polishing.

It is spacious inside with large tables and a friendly, welcoming staff. I had a margarita with my lunch; only one though because I was driving. It wasn't strong but was tasty enough. The beers are mostly domestic with only one micro brew selection but there were plenty of national brand choices. The food was home made and not bad for bar food. I had a Pittsburgh cheese steak sandwich that I thought was good. I ordered it with a side salad instead of fries as I had also ordered the loaded Pastrami fries which came with cheese, pickles and mustard on top. It was a bit too rich and heavy for my taste and the flavors didn't really work well together. Maybe without the mustard I would have liked it more. The vibes here were perfect, with a pool table right in the center. It did feel a little empty, though, with the tables all on the sides and a big empty space. The bathrooms were nice and clean with sinks outside. It isn't a vast menu, so we were able to try a little bit of everything. The portions are a good size, so be careful if you are sharing, as we may have slightly overordered. The Santa Fe Salad is a great portion, even without chicken, surprising for salad we even took some home. It was completely packed and flavorful. We also got the Mac N Cheese, nothing special. The real show was with the meats. We got a full rack, and they were delicious. Nice and juicy and easy to eat. We asked for extra BBQ sauce, and it was great. This was definitely my favorite, followed by the Smoked Brisket Sandwich. This was packed to the brim, and dipped in the BBQ sauce really made it. We also got the ribeye steak; this wasn't too fat, if anything, more on the thin side. This and the ribs came with a roll and baked potato. For dessert the cherry pie was so good, it was a little pricey for a piece of pie I cannot lie but I still enjoyed.
