Haven't been here in years and drove past on my way home a few weeks ago. Suggested we try tonight as I have been looking for good and affordable sushi near us in Roswell. Service was great, super nice, and efficient. They are closed midway and open at 5:30. Just be prepared that if you go at that time, you will have to wait for a server as everyone is getting seats and served...not a big deal b/c it moves fast and they are all super friendly. Sushi quality is great, taste is fresh, selection and prices are good. Casual atmosphere that is nice for your family or quiet enough for a parents night out. We will return soon! read more

Have been a few times, and it is always fantastic. It's expensive, but spring for the omakase donburi--the fish is fresh and quite high quality. And, it comes with a salad/miso and dessert. Sushi Circle is in a nice location very close to the very scenic Riverwalk. The area has an abundance of parking. The wait staff is very friendly, welcoming and made sure that every need was met. The sushi here is really good and I especially enjoyed the spicy salmon rolls. The teriyaki chicken was a bit overcooked, but, seasoned perfectly and the way in which it was cut/presented was exceptional. The interior is well decorated and has plenty of seating. Ordered #3 roll and Chrashi Don combo/dinners. Portion wise, we have had better at other authentic hole in the wall Japanese namely Tanaka. Price is higher compared to tanaka. Freshness: all the fish were pretty fresh. Portion: smaller end Miso soup: my girl and I both agree this is the worst miso soup we had in all the United States. From mid range sushi in Atlanta to Michelin starred in New York, this is the worst. You have better miso soup with the instant version you get from Kroger. It's watered down and the tofu wasn't diced aesthetically compared to Tanaka or Sushi Yoko. environment: it's in a very 1960-1970s runned down shopping plaza. It's definitely a hole in the wall. Interior wise, I can smell the mold. The table needs to be scrubbed or replaced. It's very sticky worst than a lot of pho restaurants I have been to. read more

I've recently returned for a pick up order as they were the few spots with uni available. They also have a sister restaurant nearby, Circle Noodle. Love both places! Due to COVID, you can place an order by calling in for pick up/take-out. Follow their Instagram on their latest offerings. I had ordered the Omakase Sushi Nigiri set, comes with a coffee mouse dessert, as well as miso soup or salad, and Snow Cream Crab Croquettes. They're as delicious as I remembered. I really, really like Circle Sushi. I just wish it were closer to me, so I could go all the time but maybe that's a good thing. The exterior of Circle Sushi doesn't do this restaurant justice -- at all. All you'll see in yellow is "sushi" splattered across the top of the restaurant. It's located in a plaza with a McDonalds, Arby's and Starbucks nearby. Parking is plentiful. It may be good idea to call beforehand especially for dinner if you're planning on dining in. Seating spacing is limited inside and the workers are doing their best to be accommodating while following correct COVID protocols. Their sushi is probably one of the freshest I've ever had. They don't skip on their sashimi pieces. If you like tuna even the slightly bit, get the tuna carpaccio appetizer! Please! And if you're going for lunch, try one of their Chirashi bowls. Service is great. My waiters have always been very friendly. The first time I went, my friend and I were offered miso soup while we were waiting for our food to come. While the soup itself was just very mediocre, it was very kind of her to do. The owner or manager of the restaurant was also working both times I visited and is also very kind and accommodating. I ordered lunch here and it was very enjoyable and fresh! We got a chirashi B ($22), and I was surprised and excited that it included both otoro and chutoro, which I've never had in any chirashi at this price from other places before! It also included a surprise layer of unagi in the middle of the rice which made it even better. The scallop carpaccio is a delicious combo of sweet and crunchy textures with dried mango and apricot pieces. I also got a spider roll and spicy tuna roll combo and the pieces were a little small but generously filled and I felt the portion was reasonable for the price. I also appreciated that the salad didn't have carrots and had bell pepper slices, but that's just personal preference I guess. Overall i enjoyed everything I ordered, it's well priced, and will definitely be back! read more

Perfect little sushi place. It's hidden in a plaza off of Roswell Rd, and isn't one of these high-end stuck-up sushi places that are super fancy and expensive. This place is unassuming but good. Many Japanese go there, so it must be authentic. I loved my chirashi don, and the bento box and sushi combo D were also decent. Lunch specials are varied and priced ok. read more

This was on my to eat list for a long time that has been prolonged due to the covid virus. When they decided to reopen dine in, I was finally able to give this place a shot. Omakase donburi - is a must order. this is essentially a premium chirashi bowl and although it is $55 you get the best sashimis (toro, uni, golden snapper, sweet shrimp, etc...) If you care about quality their omakase anything is top tier sushi/sashimi. Black Cod - Soft, buttery, sweet and flavorful. I love black cod, it is my favorite grilled fish dish and they made it delicious. A great cooked fish that complements raw sashimi/sushi. Toro/Super Salmon Roll - Both really good and very tasty. It is essentially a super toro roll and a super salmon roll where the roll is very simple and delicious. Only downside is that the roll is really small. Beef bowl / hand rolls - This was my biggest disappointment about this place. I expected the beef bowl to be thinly sliced beef, but instead they use little chunks of stew beef. It was mediocre at best. The hand rolls were also mediocre as well, lacks depth of flavor and the bland seaweed overpowers the taste of the fish. Overall all the premium dishes were extremely delicious and worth it; however the couple items I ordered off the lunch menu was okay at best. The difference between those dishes were night and day where if I only tried their lunch menu, I'd be reluctant to ever return to this place. Whenever you have extra cash I'd recommend this place and order the premium stuff in order to maximize your experience here. This is the definition of you get what you pay for. read more

I was starving so I tossed some pieces in my mouth. My stomach is now in shambles. It's not like there was no smell and it tasted bad, and they couldn't have know when preparing it. It's in a huge plaza with lots of other stores and restaurants, a gym and some other random places. Despite the outside appearance, it actually looks very nice and intimate inside although I always order takeout. I usually go here when I need to quickly satisfy a craving for sushi. It's very close to me so it's convenient. There's a TON of variety but I stuck to my favorites which is anything with salmon. The quality is great and the taste is just right. Japanese people living in the area flock here for the quality sushi. Especially popular is the Chirashi Don. The food at circle sushi is great. I only consider it average, though, based on the service. The prices are pretty great for a sushi place but the service was crazy slow. It was our first time there but it took 30 minutes just to see our waitress after a hello I'll be right with you. I don't traditionally want to wait an hour when I'm hungry to eat. I'm not sure if this is typical or just that time. I came in a group of 6 people. Our drinks were mostly empty until after we finished eating, then the waitress refilled them right before bringing the checks. The restaurant is small sized with seating that is slightly sectioned off. I ordered the chicken donburri cutlet and it was amazing. It was a ton of food for $9 and worth ordering takeout for. My boyfriend ordered a salmon type roll and nirigi combo and it was nicely chilled and fresh tasting. This place was recommended to me by my Japanese friend so it is one of the most traditional Japanese spots in town. I've visited Circle Sushi multiple times and have yet to be disappointed. The sushi is yummy and always tastes fresh. I would recommend getting any of their sushi rolls or grilled fish dishes. During my last visit I arrived on a Sunday at 7:30 pm and got seated immediately. It's kind of noisy (with the amount of people talking) and there was no music playing. We ordered take out for a celebration we were having. Everything was packed nicely, no leakage from the soups or sauces. We ordered a wide variety of sushi rolls that were all delicious. We ordered the Bento box with the cho cho roll, tempura veggies and chicken teriyaki. This is where we miss a star. The chicken teriyaki was flavorless. It was chunks of very dry chicken breast with a sauce poured over the top. It was boring and hard to eat without a drink by your side to wash it down. I ordered the tempura veggies knowing that if they sat for awhile they would be ruined. As I love that dish I took a chance. Even though we picked up our order as it came out of the kitchen and drove 5 minutes back they still were rubbery. My bad. We ordered the Junk Don which was really good and looked amazing- a feast for the eyes as well as your taste buds! We also got the Shrimp Shumaj for an appetizer that we all really enjoyed. Do not go by the menu placed on yelp - It is not accurate. I ordered a roll based upon this menu/after talking with the host for a to go order and ended up getting a very basic roll. It was expensive considering the fact. While talking to the host, I asked if it had different things and the roll and she misled me as did the yelp profile. If you want basic, then try it. But I will not order it again. Another issue I had was that no one acknowledged me at the door for nearly 5 minutes. The host was no where to be found. Circle Sushi is located off of Roswell Road in the same strip mall as YouFit Atlanta and Arby's. Publix is located on the other side of the strip mall. I knew I had to come here when I saw the sign outside. All it says is "Sushi." While that sign probably isn't the most appealing to most people, definitely do not let that deter you from entering and giving it a try. The interior is very modern and casual. There's wooden tables, booths along the wall, and some high-top tables and a high-top sushi bar. We were greeted as soon as we came in and informed about happy hour, which ended in half an hour. Sweet! Plenty of time to try it out and get our orders in on time, right? About that. Service is very friendly. Attentive? Not so much. To be fair, I think there were only two servers. And the manager was rushing around and helping out as best he could. We were given drinks and no one came back for our order until after half an hour. Fortunately, they still let us put in our happy hour orders, since they knew we had waited a while. We ordered the happy hour chirashi and a dinner bento box. I was pretty impressed with the food. The sushi quality was amazing. From my picture, the chirashi doesn't look like much, but it really is. Overall, I'd definitely recommend trying Circle Sushi if you want pretty authentic Japanese food or good sushi. If you're one of those California roll sushi lovers and don't have much time though, maybe not. I'm glad we came when we didn't have too much going on. I got the roll combo A, which came with spicy tuna, shrimp tempura and half Cali roll, as well as soup or salad. I got the miso soup. The sushi is absolutely spectacular! Tons of spicy tuna and well marinated. Delicious shrimp tempura and Cali roll as well. Miso soup came with lots of soft tofu. The udon was great as well - super filling and came with vegetables, poached egg, a bunch of tempura shrimp and vegetables. The chicken teriyaki was pretty good as well but we will 100% be ordering more of their sushi next time. I'm already thinking about returning today! Have also had and enjoyed the pork gyozu.
