My partner and I went on a random impromptu dessert date. He got the bama slamma I think it was called. It was salted caramel ice cream in a glazed donut with Cinnamon Toast Crunch pieces and whipped cream. I got the plain Jane with birthday cake ice-cream and whipped cream. If you are looking for great donuts in this area then this is definitely the place to go. They had a wide variety of options although I was there around 8 AM on a Sunday and they have a sign outside that during busy season they often sell out before 11 AM. There was also a pretty good line outside the store when I arrived as well. My favorite donut was the blueberry maple cake donut and I normally don't like cake donuts at all. This one was light and moist with an amazing flavor. A close second is the strawberry coconut yeast donut. The traditional yeast donuts were great as well though. What I'm trying to say is , I loved them all! I also had a coffee which was pretty traditional but I thought it was great none the less. YUM! This donut shop happened to be right across the street from where we were staying for the weekend and what a gem! There was a slight line each time we came in the morning. However, it moved quickly and donuts kept coming out fresh. Can't say much on their regular yeast donuts, but the cake donuts, glazed croissants and bear claws were ON POINT. I especially loved the glazed croissants, which were freshly warm. Why hasn't anyone else thought of glazing buttery, flakey croissants before?? And those hot bear claws? YAS. My red velvet cake donut was pretty good, too, but seriously, though, that glazed croissant?!??? (How many times can I repeat, GLAZED CROISSANT?) Donuts are delicious. But be prepared to pay a steep price for them and a surcharge for using a credit card--no matter how much you spend. Obviously their accountant hasn't explained to them the merchant fee charged by the credit card companies can be deducted off their taxes as a business expense, thus reducing the gross taxable amount of income the business has. read more

You know the donuts look good when your kids starts licking the glass case... we got some glazed, strawberry, red velvet, blueberry cake, blue icing with sprinkles! and some iced with fruity pebbles on them... So the let down was the red velvet.. i wish it would have had cream cheese icing. The blueberry cakes were ok. The glazed with fruity pebbles cereal on them were awesome! I do not exaggerate when I say that every type of donut from "City Donut" is a home run. I personally had the maple and Twix flavors, and they both were 10/10. Others of note were the Red Velvet and Fruity Pebbles. Right by the beach so if you are in town for a weekend you should be able to get yourself a dozen- and the wait is worth it! Came in at 8:45 am. Posted hours say they close at 11 am. I get they don't want to have a ton of donuts left over, but they literally had 30 donuts left. Mostly sugared donuts and a few cinnamon rolls left. I got 4 sugared donuts and two cinnamon rolls and it was almost $15. Workers acted like they were mad to be there. Overheard them talking to each other, blaming whoever made the donuts for them getting the brunt of the customers dissatisfaction because they didn't make enough.
